I LOVE the Sublimage line. I have the cleanser, the concentrate, and the cream (Texture supreme).
I tried a few samples before deciding to purchase the items (and I suggest you do the same). The ladies at Chanel counter are usually very generous, so if you are thinking about purchasing it, do not hesitate to ask for samples first.
My impressions of each product:

- Cleanser: very gentle, yet effective. It removes eye shadow and mascara without irritating my eyes. I love the gentle scent of the product as well. The texture is amazing - sort of oily, but non clogging. You can remove it using the little towel that comes with it, or just water (I usually remove it with water only - super quick).

- Concentrate: It took me a little longer to decide to purchase this, as I wasn't sure I needed (I had the cream and it already worked wonders for my skin). The concentrate is different than other serums I have tried. It is quite light (definitely non-greasy) and the best quality in my opinion is how calming and hydrating this product is. I have less spots, less dehydrated patches, less redness. It works wonders as a primer too, evening out my skin tone. (I don't use foundation. I simply apply moisturizer on top of this.)

- Cream: AMAZING!! My favorite product of the line. This is the first product I purchased (and if you can only afford one, this is what I would recommend). My skin has changed after using this. It is more even toned, glowing from within, less fine lines, and it feels overall firmer. I chose texture supreme as my skin can be quite dry sometimes (specially over Winter). The other plus: I don't need an eye cream when using this. It brightens my dark circles and it made my fine lines around the eyes disappear.

I don't need foundation or tinted moisturizer anymore. At least once a week (not kidding) someone tells me how my skin looks nice and ask me which product I use.
I am so happy!
Ladies! Worth every penny.

I got several samples of this, thank goodness, since I found it highly perfumed and it made my eyes sting/water. Am not normally sensitive to products so was suprised. Definitely try before you buy!

Would you go to Pizza Hut for the best steak in town? That would be a no, so why would you go to a makeup counter that started as a fashion house for the best skincare? In my opinion simply because the brand name of Chanel, not so much that its a results driven product. I actually worked for Chanel for years and while working for them never would use their skincare products even though I would receive it free. I would buy Natura Bisse and others because they far surpass the quality and results. Sublimage base it's claims from a type of ingredient called Vanilla Planifolia that they exclusively say they filter in a way called polyfractioning. Basically that means they put in the purest form of that ingredient. In my professional life I have never looked at anyone using this product and asked "Your skin looks amazing what skincare do you use"? I've tried it and personally have never seen any result except that my skin looked hydrated only when I had it on. I saw no miraculous results on myself or anyone else. It has a pleasant scent in my opinion but very strong to most people. Most of there skincare products are highly fragranced anyway. I suggest if your looking for a skincare product that you are wanting to really see great anti wrinkle or lifting results look elsewhere. Look to a company that specializes in the skin not a company that is just iconic for there name.

I received this as a gift. I would never spend this amount of money on cream that would end up as acne on my face. However....this is the absolute first cream I have ever been able to put on my face without acne. I have never had dry or oily skin and at age 50 I still don't. I am allergic to all make-up. This product has not made my wrinkles disappear, but it has evened my skin tone, makes my wrinkles less noticeable, made my acne scars less noticeable, and I don't feel so embarrassed to be out in public without makeup. It is worth every dime of money. I am totally shocked that I can use this product. I love it.

Perhaps it's just something about Chanel...Chanel No. 5 perfume is the only perfume I can wear without breakouts or a severe headache.

I am a massive fan of the Chanel Sublimage Essential Comfort Cleanser. Bought myself a bottle in January and I still haven't reached the end of it in August! So it actually doesnt work out that expensive. You only need to use a very small amount to clean your face and the smell is wonderful and not too overpowering. I have combination skin; dry cheeks and an oilier chin, nose and forehead. Previously I suffered from bad redness on my cheeks and bumps along the bottom of my cheeks. This cleanser is the only one I have ever used that solves these problems! It leaves me with smooth, soft, bright and radiant skin. I have even switched to makeup with much lighter coverage because my skin is so much better. I cannot recommend this enough, I have tried Clarins, Clinique, Dior and even cheaper brands like Garnier and Simple but non come close. If you dont want to risk buying it before trying ask can you try a sample, hope its as good for you as it has been for me!

Before writing this review I will tell you my history with this product. I have been using Sublimage ( Texture ) Supreme for 6 months .
I read every single review on makeupalley and every other review on the internet I could get my hands on before using this.
I have to say it is by far the best product I have ever used.
One jar lasts about 6 months for me with use once a day at night. I use SPF 70 and Chanel Sunlit tinted moisturiser in the day .
My skin is much better - soft, smooth and no breakouts. I dare say firmer ,even toned and though I would not say I 'glow ' - my skin is not that of a 40 year old - maybe early 30s . That's the truth . I think I saw the most difference within the first 2 weeks . You can use this around the eyes with no puffiness or oil seeds occurring so really you don't need the eye cream.
Use this with the Sublimage cleanser ( which is also A + ) and your skincare worries are solved.

*** I just read Victoria Archer's review of the cleanser. It is really a wonderful wonderful cleanser. I panic if I am running out. On my 3rd tube - soon will be getting my 4th . Holy grail for sure.
It works out quite cost effective as you do not need anything else- no eye make up remover or foaming wash , no cotton wool needed for make up removal as you get a washable reusable 100 % cotton face cloth with the cleanser.. Just use Sublimage cleanser to cleanse in the morning , take off your make up up at night. That's it.
For sensitive and mature skins or drier skins- I think you'll find this a treat to use.
Caveat Emptor- if you use a waterproof mascara - Sublimage cleanser will not remove it nor will it remove Diorshow Iconic mascara which is not waterproof. Sublimage does remove Estee Lauder's non waterproof macaras though.

If you love Sublimage cleanser but you don't like the price- try Eve Lom's cleanser. The cleansing method is similar and you use a cotton face cloth as well. Another excellent cleanser and slightly less expensive.

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Very Dry, Tan   Hair: Brunette   Eyes: Green

I work in a beauty court near a Chanel counter and I was telling my friend (who works for Chanel) just how dry my skin was and how I had done absolutely everything to get rid (and believe be, I did) it was so visible you vould see the dry, raised patches under my make up and it was constantly flaking and sensitive. She gave me two small samples of the creme and to be honest I had heard of the outrageous price before so I was very interested to see if it actually lived up to the hype. The next day I washed my face as usual and when my skin was totally dry I applied it. I found that although she said I would only need a very small amount I did use an awful lot of product on my face and neck which would be an issue as I don't think using it at that rate would be great on my bank account. I did see and immediate brightened effect and it absorbed really well, it was definitely a quality product and I didnt feel caked in oil as a lot of moisturisers seem to feel. It didn't really have a great scent, I love vanilla but it didnt really smell of anything much. Much to my surprise, by the end of the day all the dry patches had completely gone! my skin felt silky smooth and amazing. The brightened effect didn't last but that wasn't really my main concern. As for purchasing the product, although it did exactly as I wanted it to I think there are numerous moisturisers for a more reasonable price that could of done the same job as realistically I can't afford the designer price tag, if I could I most definitely would.

I received this as a sample and placed it the the way-side for a while since I did not like the rose smell. After I ran out of my face cream I decided to give it a try. After using the product for a few days I was pleasantly surprise. The texture is creamy and hydrating (I have very dry skin and for me to say something is hydrating it is!). It is nice under a foundation because it if fast absorbing and sets matte. My make-up slips less throughout the day. I find myself having to powder less.

The down fall to this is the price!!! Although I received a sample I could not see myself spending $200+. I am not in absolute love, although it's a lovely product. Also, the rose smell is not my favorite, as I am sensitive to most fragrances. I can wear it without getting a headache which is a large plus for me but I just don't find it as a good aroma therapy like I like in my skin care line.

As long as these results continue I will continue to purchase this incredibly expensive product. I can use this cream as little as every other day and my face feels incredibly soft supple and hydrated. I used the black jars of night cream (lift line) and I felt like I needed incredible amounts of hydration still. My skin looks and feels great to the point where I put this on then some of the tan stuff to add a bit of a glow to my cheeks some mascara and i am done with makeup for hte day. I have very dry skin and this really took care of it. This jar should last about a year from what I see and then it makes the price a lot more reasonable to me. I have used the hydramax line as well which is specifically for moisture and that didn't do nearly as much as this has for my skin. I say if you can afford it give it a try, you can always take it back if you don't love it.

From the first application of this amazing moisturizer/regenerator your skin absolutely feels different and it immediately gets a good source of hydration.
After a week of using it I have noticed my expression lines being less visible and my oily skin is more under control, versus being a complete grease ball by noon.
I do my 3 times a week of chemical exfoliation but Sublimage has absolutely changed my skin to where I wanted it to be!

I adore Chanel, I truely do,b ut I have to agree with a few other ladies when this product is just sub-par. It has ended up being a very expensive arometherapy product for me

Highlights of this product are basically three things:

Chanel Name/ Look

Creamy Texture/Luxurious to put on

Soft Natural Vanilla Scent.

I truely believe that Chanel is lacking in their skincare line and this one above all is not worth the money, it sits on my shelf and looks pretty but thats about it! I use it now and then but honestly I use it more for the scent than anything else. A little pampering for the nose. Expensive aromatherapy.

UPDATE April 2011: This has been reformulated & I'm having much better success w/it this time around (I got samples with a recent Chanel splurge). It doesn't smell nearly as good but it feels great & I noticed a big difference in my skin after a few days. I'm sampling the reg. cream (texture supreme), serum and eye cream (also working much better than it did before so I don't know if this was also reformulated or if I'm just getting old!) I think I'm definitely using all products much more sparingly than I did when I tried them before. I wish this was more affordable! Will do follow up after I use this for a while longer////OLD REVIEW: The pros: decadent packaging & incredible scent (not too heavy or perfumey). The cons: didn't do a thing except break me out-way too heavy for my combo, dehydrated skin. Tried a sample of the lighter formula (Universelle) and it didn't work for me either. If I remember right, it wasn't moisturizing enough & did nothing for my skin. The eye cream gave me milia. Very unimpressed.

Ladies, please listen to me. I have used the Sublimage Series for over 1 year now... the Serum, the Moisturizer, and the Eye Cream and my skin looks like... blah.

At first, I was impressed. I listened to the hype and was caught by the exorbitant price tag and impressive packaging and educated SA's that made me feel like I was buying into an exclusive Skin-Care club. I bought into the entire line, and have used it faithfully 2x a day, every day, for nearly 14 months.

Guess what? I don't notice a thing. I quit the Chanel Sublimage line 2 weeks ago; I decided to revamp my skin care routine and I switched to a stabilized 10% Vitamin C Serum, a 5% Glycolic Acid Cleanser, a mild and emollient (but non-beneficial) eye cream and have noticed an enormous difference. My skin is now glowing, my old acne and hyper-pigmentation scars are fading, and my pores have minimized significantly. Further, my skin no longer looks ashy or dull.

Chanel SA's work on commission. The Sublimage series is their Holy Grail of Sales and they are trained to groom their customers to aspire to the Sublimage Skin Care line. They receive $50 'spiffs' or cash rewards for every jar they sell... compare that to the typical 3% commission they make, and you will understand why Sublimage is so heavily hyped when you sit in a Chanel chair.

Vanilla Plantifola? Are you kidding me? How has that been proven to be beneficial to skin? Where are the independent results? Chanel relies on an aspirational consumer to drive their Sublimage Sales, and the inclusion of rare 'botanical' extracts is enough to lure unsuspecting customers to try it out.

I have fairly normal skin for someone my age - minimal amounts of sun damage, an occasional hormonal pimple, teensy fine lines around the eyes, occasional dullness... Chanel's Sublimage Series did NOTHING for me. My skin has not improved one bit since I began, and I'd happily hand over my remaining supply but the jar method isn't particularly hygienic. I dumped the Serum and Eye Cream, and will finish out the actual moisturizer - on my neck and jaw line and elbows - until it's gone.

Finally, there ARE worthwhile Chanel products but their Skin Care lines are sub-par. Don't waste your money; do some research and then follow with what seems most compatible with your skin type.

Edited: I looked over my review and realized I missed a few points. As some reviewers pointed out, after applying the 3 step Sublimage system, skin looks noticeably more radiant. However, the effects are temporary and by the end of the day, my skin no longer has that instant glow effect. And when I wake in the morning, I don't feel particularly moisturized. Further, each winter (New England) brings that chronic dryness, which tends to show up in my forehead. Using Sublimage did nothing to counteract the little flakies - I used Shiseido's Eye Benefiance on my forehead instead!

Finally, the items that are most beneficial to skin are not listed in any of the ingredients... no glycolic acids, no Vit C or A, no Retinols, nada... not even hyularonic acid!

Re. my new routine: I also added a Hydroxy Acid Cream (based on reviews here) and am alternating with Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Night Face Cream and am going to gamble my money on these items instead.

As a woman with "mature" skin, I have been thrilled with the effects of Sublimage cream. My skin looks so radiantly healthy, glowing and luminous that I require just a dab of foundation on strategic zones (I am now using the fabulous new "Lift Lumiere" fluid makeup, after Chanel discontinued Vitalumiere cream makeup, and I like it even more than my old favorite). The effects of Sublimage are so noticeable that my husband and others have commented on how beautiful my skin looks. Yes, it is outrageously expensive. But it is cheaper than therapy -- or dermatological treatments, invasive or not. I use only a small amount, just what my skin wants, and achieve remarkable results. In the morning, I use Sublimage Serum under Rectifiance cream with spf 15; then I use Sublimage cream at night, when it is most needed to replenish and restore the skin; Sublimage Eye Cream is used both day and night. It is worth every penney and is now part of my skincare regimen going forward.

I am finally writing a review after a year of using this on and off. At first I was sold. When I applied it to my face, it glided on and melted in like BUTTER. My face GLOWED right after application, because it looked so buttery-hydrated. It felt soft because, well, it's SO buttery- HA! But always I would wake up the next day with my same old dry skin. No radiance, no softness to speak of, no buttery feeling. In fact, my face would feel DRY like I needed to re-apply immediately. Where did all that moisture GO? It's CHANEL. It's such a glamorous little bottle, but it's just CHANEL, and since when did CHANEL specialize in anti-aging skin treatments? To be honest, I get better results from Kinerase Cream, and it's 3-4x cheaper than Sublimage. PLUS, Kinerase is owned by a Dermatological pharmaceutical company who is reputable for some amazing anti-aging skin treatments, prescription AND OTC. Save your money and go check out the Kinerase. It may not feel like butter going on, but it shows results and keeps it's promises.

TEXTURE UNIVERSELLE-

I have been using the new interpretation of Sublimage "Texture Universelle" and I am extremely satisfied with the results. It's a lot lighter than the original sublimage "Texture Supreme". The texture is silky, once you apply it on your skin it completely absorbs and leaves your skin moisturized and SO RADIANT!
