I am with everyone else. The best color was the lime. The yellow did not show at all didn't matter how much I put on. The orange/red was very light had to pack it on but it worked with the lime. I actually mixed it with there jumbo pencil in lemon by nyx and it really brings it out. I bought it off of ebay because $9.95 was just to high for NYX to me at least. I paid $5 for it. I would not buy it again...but I will be buying the individual colors when I run out.

I love NYX, don't get me wrong. But what were they thinking with this one?!?!
There is pretty much no pigmentation in any of the colors. (the green has the most, but it's nothing to brag about) And the sad thing is, I bough two of these. With the first one I thought that maybe I got a bad batch. But nope, the second one was just as bad.

I wouldn't even use these for a wash of color. Save your money.

This isn't a bad trio. Tropical and lime green are nice. Yellow is a little chalky and not very pigmented. Even on top of a primer and paint pot I had to apply multiple layers just to get the colour to show up, and it's not similar to my skin tone at all...

The lime green in this trio is NOT the same as the lime green in the spring leaf/lime green/green tea, so it's confusing that they have the same name. I like this green though, it applies smoothly.

The combo of these three colors is so fun when used together. I use the light yellow on the inner third of the upper lid, the orange in the other part of the upper lid and crease and then the lim green on the lower lash line and a little bit on the upper lash line. The color pay of is not amazing. With the NYX jumbo eye shadow pencil in milk, the pigmentation is still not good. With the light yellow and the orange, I really have to pack it on to get the color in the pan, especially the light yellow but then I guess that color is close to my skin tone. I find that the lime green is the most pigmented out of the three. However, the colors do blend well and they stay on too w/o creasing. I would say that the pigmentation is close to that of the Revlon colorstay quads more than that of typical super pigmented NYX shadows. However, the color goes on stronger when you use the provided sponge tip applicator, which is better than most you would get w/ these things and works quite well actually.

The colours look amazing in the pans but when applied the colors payoff are not so amazing. Not very good pigmentation at all even with a base. I tried to pack more colors but it won't show up that much. I guess it would be perfect for people who looks for a more sheer look. I The coral red and green has shimmers. The yellow is matte and has the smoothest feel than the other two. For 6 bucks is not bad for 3 colours. I would not buy this one again but I might try the single e/s from NYX since I heard they are alot more pigmented.

This was the first NYX products I have ever purchased. I got it at a Fragance Outlet for $9.95, yep, they were wrong for that one! The tropical and lime green color are descent. That yellow is horrible. The worst yellow ever, NYX, you guys are wrong for that crap! Very chalky and sheer. Doesn't show up at all! I don't like the packaging because they are slightly hard to open. I depotted these and placed them in a palette. I should have thrown the yellow away. LOL

I found this trio on sale at a fragrance outlet for only $2.95! i think it was mislabeled because there were others of this same trio for like...$8.95 but watever i got it anyway!

i was kinda happy cuz it was my first nyx purchase and i have heard these shadows were pretty high quality.

The red and yellow color payoff was not as good as i thought. i had to REALLY pack it on and it kinda looked chalky. the Lime green was the only one i really liked. color pay off was good (not excellent though).

I agree with others that single shade shadows are better in terms of color pay off, texture is smoother, its just overall better to get the single than trios.

i dont think i will be purchasing any more trios unless i read they have just as good quality as the single shades :/

red: comes off sheer coral /pink/orange color with verrrry slight shimmer

yellow: plain chalky yellow

green: lime green/gold slight shimmer . goes on smooth.

I bought two trios, the golden/rust/walnut trio and this one. And they are polor opposites one being shimmery, pigmented and flattering the other chalky and matte. It's very sheer, the colors don't look right matte. However the green is a nice bright golden lime and with good color pay off.

This product has certainly grown on me. I was surprised that it got such bad reviews, but I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinions.

Yellow:

Doesn't show up well unless you have a good primer/sticky creme shadow base. But once you have that, it blends beautifully into the green for a very spring time look, or the triopical for a cheerful summer look. I wouldn't ever wear it by itself but use it frequently with other colours.

Lime Green:

It's a beautiful green, if you're not afraid of bright colours, again you need a good base/primer/cream shadow, heaps of girls off youtube use the nyx jumbo pencil in milk underneath to make the colours pop. I find it a very versatile colour, my favourite look is teaming it with a emerald green - but only if it's very well blended, otherwise it looks tacky. It kind of some fine golden glitter in it.

Tropical:

Quite bright, if applied wrongly will make you look like you've been crying or tired. It's like a reddish-orange that remindes me of a cocktail. It can get quite saturated so you may like to tone it down. I don't find it chalky at all. My favourite colours to wear with this are dark brown and taupe, or with yellow.

I don't own this...my sister does. I've borrowed it and think that's sufficient enough.

I do not like this stuff at all. The colors look really pretty in the palette and even swatched but for some reason on both my sis and my eyelids it looks chalky. Even with UDPP the yellow shade does not show up at all on our skintones.

Lime green probably works the best out of the 3 and Tropical loses its cred for being so chalky. I wish these shadows did work out well cuz it's a decent price...but sigh too good to be true.

I bought this trio in the hopes that I could create a really funky tropical look but I was really very disappointed. Out of the three colors the only one that showed up on my eyes was the green. I do admit that its a very nice bright green that brings out my brown eyes. The problem I had was that both the coral and yellow colors did not show up very well at all. In fact the yellow is actually invisible. Now I don't know if that's because my eyes are too pigmented to begin with and that makes it difficult for colors to show up or what, but I would not purchase this again. For reference I am a NC43.

I was pleasantly surprised by this trio. I'm a MAC e/s devotee, but suffered a brain lapse one day while in the d.s. and bought it. I like it! Yes, it could be a tad more pigmented, but with the right brush it goes on nicely and stays on well. I use a dark e/s base which helps pop the colors (I would do that even with MAC). The colors are beautiful. All in all, I was indeed pleasantly surprised as I said at the beginning and I may very well try another trio soon.

I do like this trio, but I'm disappointed on how sheer it is! You really have to pack it on for it to show up at all, especially the red color. It would be a fab trio if it were just more pigmented!

I just hauled a few of these trios from Cherry Culture and this is probably my favorite. I love that the colors are somewhat sheer when dry, but really pop when wet. I can use them for work or going out. I applied over UDPP about 5 hours ago, and the colors are still just as vibrant as they were when I applied this morning. They blend nicely and go on very smoothly. Overall, I'm pleased and would repurchase. Though I find the case a bit difficult to open...am I the only one?!

I hauled a bunch of NYX stuff from cherryculture the other day and was most excited about this trio, and I wasn't AT ALL dissapointed with it. The green is gorgeous and shows up really well on my skin. The yellow is a light pale yellow, but shows up really well with a good base. The orange isn't really an orange... more like a corally orangey color. But it's pretty nonetheless. I'm REALLY into the "oh my god... you look like you painted your eyelids" eyeshadow. (i.e. REALLY BRIGHT) And these do that for me. I use the NYX jumb shadows pencils as bases, and I can't rave enough for them. The staying power of the shadows are great, the colors are great, the application is great... IT'S ALL GREAT!!! :P I have a pic in my profile sing this trio in case someone is interested. Check it out!

I like the green and orange shade in this, the yellow hardly shows on me. I don't think the colors are as bright as i had hoped. Although I wouldn't say this about all NYX trios since i have another one (light pink, dark pink and baby blue) and all the colors in that one show amazingly. Overall I find trios to be hit and miss.

Beautiful bright colors, although I depotted the Yellow one. Plain yellow isn't really my thing, it does nothing to my eyes.

The other 2 colors are just amazing. Great to do a tropical look !!

Great staying power!

I love this trio, I was a little scared of the colors, thinking that they would be freakishly bright, but they actually aren't. They are still subtle enough that you can wear them to work, but if you want more of a punch you can layer them on. At first I thought the whole 'stoplight' combo would be weird (red, yellow, green), but these colors make it not weird...colors blend and compliment each other well. Impressed once again by NYX!

This was my first NYX shadow purchase, although I love their 'pigments.' I have to say I'm extremely diappointed and I won't be buying any of their shadows again. I agree with Honey. The shades do not show up as they are in pot form, although a strong base somewhat helped. They look bright but in reality, are pastel colours on the eye. I found all of the colours extremely light and chalky. If you build colour, they flake off. The colour simply did not last at all during the day and I have never had this problem with eyeshadows before! Be warned ladies!
