This color is really pretty bright pink but the lipstick itself is one of the worst I have ever tried. This goes to all NYX round lipsticks. The color is too slippery on the lips, it does not set nor does it look flattering because of that. Every single crease and imperfection becomes visible. I mush prefer NYX matte lipsticks which are excellent and cover and set beautifully on lips.

I just recently bought a bunch of NYC Round Lipsticks and Fig was one of them. In terms of color, it is pretty much identical to another NYX lipstick called Blush that was in the mix as well - actually, I cannot distinguish between the 2 at all when swatched on my hand. They are also described the same on the website - "Dark Neutral Pink". I'm not sure I would describe this color as a dark pink, but it is definitely neutral. I think the color is very wearable on my skintone (approx Mac NC 20, Nars Figi or Deauville, Urban Decay Naked 2.0) as a day shade or with heavy eye makeup for an evening out. Unlike some reviewers below, I do not find this color to be bold whatsoever, but then again I sport colors like Nars Shanghai Express and Schiap for a night out, so it's all relative......
I took 2 stars off because I absolutely hate the texture and smell of this lipstick. I'm used to high end lipsticks with adhesion power and satin/matte finishes. I feel like this one just leaves a layer of cream on your lips when you apply directly from tube. As such, I prefer to apply this lipstick with my finger - i.e. dab my finger on the tube then pat into the lips. It makes the lipstick look and feel more natural in my opinion.

This lipstick looks terrible on me. It accentuates the lines in my lips. It looks chalky and just overall on flattering. :(

I'm very confused about this colour, and the frustrating thing that I hate about this lipstick is that the colour I see in flash pictures definitely does not match the colour I see in person!!
I swatched this at the store on my hand and thought this was such a pretty pink for my warm toned skin. When I brought it home and used it on my lips I hated it so much. It seemed like such a cheap colour and more orange than I thought.
I decided to try it out again today after Googling some pictures of other people and took some photos with flash. To my surprise, it was a very pretty salmon pink! I had nude lips underneath this time, so that is probably why the colour brought out so well in the photograph.
If the pretty salmon colour translated as well as it did in real life I would love this colour. I don't think I will be using Fig any time soon :(
edit: Ok, I think I was being too harsh with this shade, I was just disappointed it didn't work for me. If you like bright colours then you might like this. If you are shy about bright, loud colours maybe not!

my current favorite lipstick! a very lovely pink shade not to pink and not to light either, just perfectly wearable. it is creamy and so pigmented. only thing i do not like is without the lip pencil, it does not stay too long.

I have your typical Asian Chinese skin, yellow toned and tanned, so this matched my skin tone perfectly - and I've gotten a lot of compliments for it!
I originally tried out strawberry milk which is the most beautiful colour, imo, but no matter how much I wanted it the colour is way to light and fake looking for me, haha.
Smooth application, good colour payoff, super cheap. Couldn't ask for more. Not exactly a holy grail product but it's around the neighbourhood!

Color is a mid-tone punchy warm pink; reminds me a lot of 'Chatterbox' by MAC. In fact, on my lips, I cannot distinguish between the two. The NYX round lipstick formula is great: creamy, smooth, not overly shiny but definitely not matte –– gives your lips a natural, satin-like sheen, perfect for everyday wear. This shade is particularly flattering on light-to-medium skin tones, but I also think it would look nice on very fair skin, or on anybody with pale-to-medium pigmented lips. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I suspect 'Fig' would be a bit too blasé to flatter olive or deeper complexions, and/or those who have darkly pigmented lips (instead try 'Pink Lyric' or 'Eucalyptus').
Price is around $4 including tax.

This is a pretty lipstick. I bought it along with Tea Rose (both online so couldn't swatch unfortunately!) and much prefer this one.
I have fair skin and blonde hair and Tea Rose just did nothing for me at all. It is a bit of a blah bland lipstick. It's just not pink enough for my liking.
Fig, oddly because of its name is actually a little pinker but makes all the difference.
The consistency is nice and creamy but it still feels a bit like a 'cheap' lipstick to me so I think I will stick with L'Oreal Freshly Candy which is my favourite lipstick of all time!
Great prices for experimenting with colour from NYX though!

I agree with the reviews which say that Fig is a lipstick with more pink to it, therefore more flattering than the similar Tea Rose. I own both, and after trying both, I reach for Fig right now. Tea Rose is rather unflattering on my warm medium skin.
It goes on like Barbie pink on first application, but it's not too bright that you can't wear it to class or something. It starts out with a rather shiny glossy finish, but the color wears out into a matte but not drying natural pink. It's like your natural lips with the most flattering touch of pink. I can't explain how lovely this is, and at this price!

This is my FAVORITE pink lipstick! I am a brown girl & a lot of pinks tend to look ashy or dry on me. Not Fig! I love the color and how creamy the texture is. I apply a pink gloss over it and it looks so perfect. I wore it to church yesterday and got so many compliments. I paired it with a little pink blush and I felt pretty in pink. The price was steal too, $3.99 at Ulta. I will definitely be buying a back up just in case.

i loove this lipstick!
it's a medium pink with red undertones, the texture is soo creamy and feels really moisterising
gives a matte finish so i tend to always wear a gloss over the top.
would re-purchace again

It's a light Barbie coral-pink. I like it for a 1960's look. Oh okay, I just like it in general.

I guess I'm hard to please; because this shade is just too bright for my taste. People say its pink, but to me its more of a pink-fuchsia with red undertones. Also, this has more of a satin rather than matte finish. Its cheap & moisturizing & ok for some looks, definetly not an everyday look. So if your into nudes, soft pinks & have yellow undertones this might not be your favorite either. For reference I'm an NW20.

I love love love this color. This is the first lipstick that isn't either an extremely light babydoll pink, or a completely nude (aka skin toned) shade, that I've been able to wear without looking like a vampire. My skin is naturally very fair, so most pigmented lipsticks look dark against my skin and just make me look clownish. There is something about this shade though, that even though it is darker than my usual lipstick, it still looks subtle and attractive and not vampish. The lipstick is also moisturizing for my very chapped, dry lips that are prone to cracking. Most lipstick will make them crack, but this doesn't. Im very pleased.

This color is like a toned down version of the shade ''Louisiana'', it's a medium pink with red undertones. It has a matte finish and is extremely pigmented. I don't find the color very unique but it is flattering on most skintones. It lasts about three to four hours on the lips and it isn't drying at all. It's really creamy and looks good on the lips as it doesn't accentuate the dry spots. I don't really like the lemony scent that all round lipsticks have but I got used to it. Very good for the price.

This lippie is a medium barbie bright pink with a slight purple undertone to it. As with most NYX lippie the texture is creamy and has a slight smell to it and supremely hydrating. This l/s is a matte finish with no frost or shimmer. This works great on my NC35-37 complexion, but this might be too bright on paler girls. The color is pigmented and it brightens my complexion a lil. Not only that my teeth appear whiter with this on. This lasts on for about 3-4 hours before it starts to fade (without eating or drinking) and left a soft hue when i have eaten. I'm giving it a 4 lippie as although this looks good on my face, I dont necessarily like the color and for that would not repurchase.

This is a very pretty bold medium pink. It looks really nice on my fair complexion surprisingly. This is a color that I could wear day or night. For day, I just don't put it on as heavily and put a gloss over it and it looks very nice. The texture is nice and creamy but not too much so. Love this!

On my lips its a very bold light pink. I wouldn't consider this an everyday pink but to make an impact with minimal eye makeup yes i would totally wear this shade. Its very moisturing and if I apply to much it sits on my lips in an unflattering way, to avoid this i use a lip brush to apply and it comes out just right. Cannot wait till I can make another trip out to ulta and try more colors.
PS. I heard these melt in the heat, I haven't had this happen to me yet. But we will see over time.

I purchased both Tea Rose and Fig and I have to say I prefer Fig over Tea Rose. I found Tea Rose has a yellow undertone that isn't flattering for my fair complexion or my teeth, whereas Fig is more pink/salmon colour that works for me. Fig is pigmented, opaque, and has a matte finish which I find lasts a long time with minimal touch ups. It does feel creamy when applied, but I find the matte finish isn't overly moisturizing and I have to ensure my lips are hydrated or it'll dry out my lips horribly.
