I bought this lipstick several years ago when it first came out. For me, lipsticks are like shoes, you can never have too many. I never wear the same lipstick two days in a row. I like to wear certain colors during particular seasons of the year, etc. Red Dream had been sitting there, waiting to be called upon for duty. I have several reds-one of which is Fire and another not so bold but still red-as in Tomato called Leopard. Yesterday it was such a dreary day and at my job I have to wear black. So I went to grab the Red Dream which I paired with the Pink Lame eyeshadow. ( I don't care what others wrote about the Lame. It is a unique gorgeous silvery with pink tones eyeshadow.) I had forgotten what a lovely shade of red this is. It has blue undertones which were flattering to my pale skin. I topped it off with a matching glossimer that had some shimmer to it. As much as I complain about Chanel, their high prices, etc, their colors are lovely and classic. Because they are not trendy, if you have a lippie for awhile, you can still wear it and not feel dated because Chanel is always fashionable or a good investment of money.

i purchased this creme lipstick at the chanel counter and i've been wearing it for about a week. I've had so many compliments with this lipstick shade, it really agrees with my skin tone. Although i have to say, it isn't exactly red, its more of a plum, like a burgundy, or plum red, not a classic red. Its a great shade for those with darker skin tone. I will definitely be repurchasing again.

This is a beautiful, very wearable red. I probably wouldn't have picked it out for myself, but a great MA recommended it, and now it's a staple. I love red lipsticks, but have a very hard time finding ones that I can wear. This is a bright cherry red with blue undertones and glitter. It brightens up my entire face when I wear it. Love, love, love this one!

This is the most perfect red for me. Its blue based with a little sparkle and when I wear it my face comes alive. I cant explain why its so beautiful it just is. Its an amazing colour.

New for fall 2006, Red Dream is a sparkly medium red that is more on the blue side. The shimmer itself comes from what seems to be actual glitter, similar to that of Lilac Sky, but not quite as gritty. It's not an overly bright red and it doesn't scream "here comes somebody's lips"; it can easily be worn in daytime. It has middle-of-the-road staying power and, again like Lilac Sky, once it has worn off, you will have micro glitter all over your lips. It's an easy-to-wear red that doesn't turn brown, pink or orange. And like other Chanel lipsticks with a matching nail colour, it is not quite the same as the Red Dream nail polish. Definitely not the HG that I have been searching for, but it will do well as an everyday red. Would repurchase.
