This is a cream eyeshadow with a tinge of pink...fleshy, beige pale pink color with a hint of subtle glimmer...not much and not at all obvious. This didn't crease and I use it as a base for my dior powder eyeshadow in lifting rose palette. I gave it a four rather than a five because its tricky to apply...but oh well!

Great as a base or as subtle lid colour. In winter time this cream eyeshadow does last a decent 6+ hours. However, it creased by the 5th hour on a warm day. And in hotter/warmer days a primer is needed to prevent creasing.

Beautiful fleshy pink with very subtle gold shimmer that is not very noticeable. It does not have big flecks of glitter like the metallic shades. This is very wearable for a natural everyday look. It's a soft pink with a hint of warmth. I have very fair skin and blue eyes, and this complements blue eyes. As with all the cream shadows, I use the brush to initially swipe it on my lids but I always blend with my fingers - I find blending with my fingers gives a smoother finish.

Looks a bit lighter on than in the container but nicer than a flat out white. The cream is a bit thick to apply but it's nice to find it last the day. Softens and deepens by the end of the day too.

This realy earns all the good ratings. İ like this cream e/s a lot. Only the "bone" is not so good, İ think because of the color (white) it's so waxy you couldn't use it, like Tipex we use in the office:)
So this color is a rosy, on pale side. For my coloring a bit cold but ok, İ use a bit powder e/s over it. İt's so soft creamy to use, you will love it. İt's matte, but because it's a cream, not this powdery matte. İ need to use e/s, my eyelids are big and reddish darkish whatever. Hate shimmer or sparkling e/s. Need something neutral.
And it stays realy realy the hole day, never creases or anything else. A great base too, to make your powder e/s stay the hole day too.
İt's a MİRACLE.
İ love Bobbi for making these shadows. And will buy more, to find the one "my lids but better, younger and awake" color:)

first off, im suprised at the lower ratings!! anyways, back to the review :) i love ballet pink!! it has quickly replaced my daily sandy gold as sandy gold has slightly more shimmer. ballet pink is more sheer, i use it for a more natural look when i want to brighten up my eyes. this dries A LOT faster than other long wear cream eye shadow shades that i have. in fact, it tends to blotch up quickly if you don't quickly layer it on. besides that, i love this shade and have used this considerably. will be repurchasing!

I use Ballet Pink as a eye shadow base. I like it much better than UDPP. I also wear it alone on days that I don't want to wear much makeup. I also have it another darker color. They are my favorite eye shadows.

Ballet Pink is a slightly shimmery, sheer cream that looks great as a base. It isn't too sparkly. It just adds a lovely sheen. Even though it's pink in the pot, it is more flesh colored on the skin. I really, really like it. These long-wear cream shadows are awesome.

This is my go to eye shadow for when I want a neutral pink eye. I find it brightens and opens up my eyes, so this is such an easy look for a quick neutral eye in the morning. It does dry quickly, but lasts all day without creasing. I have several of the long wear cream eye shadows, but this one is hands down my favorite.

As with the previous reviewer, I'm surprised this e/s has such a low rating. I apply it all over from lid to underneath browbone to give me the perfect classy looking nude eye look. It has just a hint of shimmer to give me a pretty glow that makes my eyes pop. Not to mention the quality of BB Cream Shadows are absolutely amazing.
UPDATE 2/27/09--> I just want to include that sometimes I'll put BB's Cream Shadow in Suede on the outer corner of my eyelid to add a little more definition to my eyes which also looks gorgeous!

I'm surprised to see such a low rating. I love this eye shadow. I actually finished the whole pot and I never finish anything. I love using it as an eyeshadow base all the way up to the brow. Then I use BB Fawn shadow (I think it's called Fawn) on the lower lid with black plum ink liner. It's an easy everyday look... and you can't beat BB's cream shadows. They never come off. They wear like iron.

Sometimes you just have to think outside the box. I hadn't been too thrilled with this as an overall base color. I was giving it one last try before tossing it when I decided to see if it would work as an undereye brightner. Turns out it is too sheer to use by itself as a concealer, but it's a perfect finishing touch for the darkest part of my undereye circles, It's the proper amount of pink to work with my fair coloring, and the shimmer adds a bit of light diffusion to add to the effect.

I must say I'm really surprised that anyone would say this cream shadow made their eyes look red. I've found that it is such a muted shade (greyish pink) that is melds easily with the skin, giving me just a hint of color. As my eyelids are thin, they are basically red naturally but once I prime them with some BB Pale Yellow powder and some Bone shadow, this product goes on wonderfully. I might also mention that it does not tend to crease on me, a problem I've experienced with most other cream shadows, even from premium lines.

It is a bit expensive but I bought this product off eBay so got it for less.

I'm not as well versed in Bobbi Brown as I am in my other favorite MUL's, but if I had to base her collection on this shadow, I would never go near it again. (But trust me, I won't do that! :)) Seriously though, this cream shadow was AWFUL on me- in fact, it was beyond awful. You know that pinkish/red look you get on & around your eyelids when you are sick or you've been crying a LOT? Well, that's what they should have named this color because that's the only effect I seem to get. (Even my husband said I looked like I had been crying! Something about this product really pulls out any red/pinkish undertones in my skin.) I was so excited when I saw the Pink Quartz look online and tried everywhere to get it- and noticed it was sold out everywhere. I thought this was a sure sign that this would be a great product- but when I found it, I was completely wrong. I decided to give it another try just to be sure and used slightly less product and this time I didn't see the redness come out- in fact, I saw NOTHING. It was absolutely colorless and it doesn't spread as creamily and evenly as I would like. I can't speak for the long wear as I took it off quite quickly, but maybe it would work better as a base in a sheer application (but why pay $25 for an eyeshadow base when there are other cheaper, better versions out there?? I personally LOVE MAC's Paint in Untitled- it's awesome!!!) So...maybe it's just my skin tone, but whatever the case- this product did NOT work for me, either of the times I tried it. I would not recommend nor would I purchase EVER again.

I like this eyeshadow, gives my oily eyelids a nice matte finish without being harsh. I use it as a base and apply powder eyeshadow on top. It goes on easily. Although I like it but i wouldn't repurchase it because it does not brighten my eyes.

Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadows are really quite awesome--I have never experienced a cream shadow with such tenacious staying power, and her shades 'Suede' and 'Galaxy' are total HGs for me--I will purchase them religiously until I die or she stops making them, whichever comes first. Ballet Pink, on the other hand is a useless color, as in, no color at all. I may as well not bother putting anything on my lids, let alone this $25.00 pot of nothingness--it would be the same effect.

I would never have tried this one, NEVER, if the MA hadn't insisted on using it on me.

I was very sceptical because of the cream formula. I thought longwearing, crease-resistant and cream-formula just wouldn't agree. I was wrong. This is more of a gel than a cream formula and really stays put forever. Wow.

Then there was the color. A pale muted pink with a hint of brown. I gave up on pinks on my blue-grey eyes, neutral/warm LLL skin and pink undertones on my eyelids. It never looks right. Pale pinks always make me look dirty and so tired. Not this one. It is the perfect base. It blends into the skin evening out shadows and discolorations, adds a very very subtle shimmer and brightens the eye area wonderfully. Both cream and powder shadow applied on top of this will go on smoothly and evenly and will stay put. Wonderful. I'm so glad I got this.

This one looks especially fab with BB cream e/s aqua applied at the inner corner of the eyes and as a highlighter on the browbone, BB malted in the crease and a dark brown sharp lined eyeliner. Very nice. Not overwhelming, but very nice.

I was really excited when these came out, but am disappointed with them! Ballet pink is so sheer that it hardley showed up at all. I did think it was fine for a very, very natural look and made a good e/s base, but ended up returning it. $22 is too much for something that doesn't really show up and there are plenty of good less expensive e/s bases. I'd also prefer this type of shadow in a squeeze tube.

Ballet Pink is a soft, neutral pink which goes on smoothly. Like with all BB Cream Eyeshadows you have to work quite fast, but they really stay on until you're ready to take them off. I have used Ballet Pink mostly over BB's Cream Eyeshadow in Bone, and then lined with Sepia Ink for a simple but polished daytime look. It retails for $22, and I used the BB Cream Shadow Brush with it which is $24. It may not be essential to own this brush as you could probably use your fingers, but I prefer the brush for a hygienic and even application. The Cream Eyeshadow comes in a little jar similar to BB's Longwear Eyeliners and it should last a while. If I run out I would certainly repurchase.
