I'm not sure if I'm writing the review for the same product as everyone else, but mine comes in a very large pump bottle. The product is cream colored and the texture is light (to me). A full pump dispenses about a quarter sized amount of product. When applying it feels very wet (almost like aloe vera but it isn't gel) but as you rub it in, it feels more creamy and hydrating.
I keep it at my desk at work because handling lots of papers dries my hands terribly. This lotion is great for a quick replenish because it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave traces of grease on the papers. However this same quick absorption is not what I want in a body lotion.
My biggest disappointment is the smell. Maybe my bottle was rancid, but I couldn't detect much cocoa butter or chocolate scent. It smells bad, chemical, and a bit of...forgive me for this...faintly of an abscess with vanilla. Just very very faintly, because I don't have the vocabulary to find another word that is as accurate. I hate throwing things away, but I think I bought a bad bottle and I'm going to have to chuck it.
If I consider trying it again, I'm going to smell the bottle first. Super sad.

After reading the great reviews, I decided to pick this up on sale at 50%off. I have used Palmers in the past, and am aware that cocoa butter has a kind of odd scent. This one smells like a chocolate-scented scratch-n-sniff from a kid's book. It has a horrible fake chocolate scent over the cocoa butter scent that is a bit overpowering. It is VERY heavy and does moisturize well, but is so heavy and greasy I would reserve this for my feet at night, maybe elbows. The scent was such a turn-off for me that I won't repurchase.

Mmmm this stuff smells like those coconut chocolate snowballs. It works really well too. When I use it after a shower or bath and put it on it lasts all day! It comes in a giant bottle too for like 2 bucks. I love the stuff.

This stuff is awesome. Got 16oz at Walgreens for $1.99. The 32oz pump bottle is available for a buck more. I didn't know whether I'd like it or not, so I went with the 16oz. This stuff is awesome! Smells great. Not too strong, but subtle. This stuff absorbs right into my skin, no gloopy messes and waiting years for it to dry. Awesome stuff. I'll be buying this from now on!

Walgreens Cocoa Butter lotion is a prime example of a very inexpensive, quality product. A generic take on Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion, the Walgreens product moisturizes well, sinks right into the skin, and has an inobtrusive, delectable scent of cocoa that pleasantly lingers, yet is so low-key that it would not clash with most perfumes. Due to its light texture, it is probably best for summertime and normal skin that does not need a richer moisturizer. I purchased a very convenient 32 oz pump bottle on clearance for $1 (!) and have enjoyed using the lotion, including on my face at night. What a find!
