I have short lashes but I want them to be a little longer without being fake looking. It's for subtle lengthening when you put on one coat but if you put on two coats it lengthens really well. The only worst thing is that it smudges, I live in a place where it's hot and humid and sweaty.

This mascara is cakey and runs very easily, it clumps so much I feel like I have black spider webs on my eyes :(

This is a great no frills or fuss mascara, it gently enhances the natural length and fullness of your lashes. It works especially well if your eyelashes are fairly thick/long to begin with, and you're simply looking for added definition. PROS: 1) doesn't clump, distributes across all the lashes evenly, 2) applicator brush is nice and thick which helps to seperate the lashes, 3) is not heavy and doesn't weigh down curled lashes, 4) lengthens and thickens with a very natural look, 5) super cheap. CONS: 1) can definitely smudge, 2) isn't waterproof, 3) won't give a dramatic effect if one is desired. That's about all the drawbacks I can think of though. Personally, I love NYC lengthening mascara, for the price it's practically a steal. It does all I need it to do, and I'm more than satisfied with it, have bought this numerous times and will continue to do so.

This is definatly for the girl who doesn't want to cause a splash with her lashes. I fortunatly am a va va voom lash girl. Other than that, the color's great and it separates well.

I've been looking around for this in the brownish-black and was happy to find it at Walmart, the other 2 places I looked had only the black. I renewed my search yesterday after asking a coworker what mascara she used for her wonderfully non-clumpy or smudgy lashes after being severely disgruntled with L'Oreal Hip (most horrible mascara almost ever) and needing to try something new and hopefully cheap.
I hope this won't smudge (I'll update if it does), but it doesn't clump and hasn't smudged after 2 hours, well it did a little when my eyes watered earlier, but that was easily fixed.
Very natural lashes, which is what I want for work, I'll save the mondo-lash mascaras for other occaisons.

This mascara is very natural. It is perfect to wear for when I go to school. It was very cheap, around $2.

I always buy one of these now! Its 2$ most places you go. The great thing about is that it looks natural, it just tints and places your lashes. I wear it on weekdays, at school, when i'm trying to look natural. Honeslty, its like you are not wearing anything! And when the mascara runs out i keep it and use the brush to adjust my darker and thicker mascaras, it does a great job removing extra gump and clumps! Overall, this is a great mascara!

Picked this up yesterday at Target for $1.72 because I needed a new mascara. I had bought the pressed powder and thought I would give this mascara a whirl. Not bad. Didn't have a weird smell, went on evenly, and was a good color if you don't like the drama of pure black lashes, and just need a little lash darkening and defining. I didn't really see too much lengthening, but it did define my lashes and make them look very natural and pretty. Not gloopy or clumpy at all. Try it, you may be pleasantly surprised. For the price, it does its job well. Another little gem from NYC, I have tried several of the products and all have impressed me.
