This is my HG lipstick. I lurves it. Lots of pigment, great staying power, moisturizing, gorgeous colors. I don't know what posesses me to buy other lipsticks. Better than MAC, I'm serious.
Note: I am reviewing the lipstick in a tube, not the liquid stuff with a gloss coat on top.

I really didn't like this product. No matter how hard I tried, the color wouldn't spread evenly on my lips. It did stay on for many many hours without the need to reapply, however, as the day progressed, my lips began to chap. As if the lipstick was absorbing the moisture off of my lips and I had dry skin on my lips, which I have never had before. So once I applied the color, I waited about 10 minutes and then applied the gloss. The entire day, my lips were sticky, meaning the color wouldn't come off mugs, cups or other items, but my lips would stick to whatever they touched. It was such an unconfortable feeling and I would not repurchase. Also, the color darkened as the day progressed, so what seemed to be a caramel color in the AM, turned into a mauve color in the PM. People at work would wonder if I changed lipstick colors during the day. Cover Girl and Maybelline have the same concept lipstick, but which produced better results for me.

Hey ladies...if you tried the original colorstay lipstick (2 sided tubes) from revlon and were unimpressed, I understand;) TRY the new formula (2 sided tubes) with softflex-The tubes look basically the same except the newer ones have flat ends where the older ones have rounded ends. This stuff is SUPER DUPER. I am a longwearing lipstick-a-holic, always looking for the best one, this stays on ALL DAY and feels good. I apply it almost like I would nailpolish...wipe off the excess from the brush, paint on a thin layer, let dry for atleast 2 minuites (i try waiting even longer if I have the time). I find that if I do this, when I apply the glossy top coat, I see no transfer of the color onto the gloss brush..yay! I work twelve hour shifts baby, and this lasts through just about anything. If eating greasy food, some may transfer, but other than that you're set for the day. I have these in every color and have also mixed to customize my own colors-works great!! Freakin awesome product:)

I've never been a big fan of any long lasting lipsticks. I'd rather reapply lipstick than have dry lips, however I'm a Revlon fan and a friend gave this to me.
The good - nice range of colours that stay true on the lips, not drying, average price
The bad - flat finish, even with the frosts, wait five minutes to set to get the most out of the long lasting effect, although colour stays on fairly well it still comes off on the rim of cups and glasses and the finish gets duller even when the colour does stay put. Putting a gloss over this makes it come off very quickly.
Overall. I can understand the appeal of a one step product but I think you're better off using a two step product. Both the Max Factor and Covergirl two step long lasting lippies work well, are not particularly drying and have a better finish to them. By all means buy the Revlon if you like the colour and prefer a matt finish, but don't expect it to last all day by any means.

When I first found Revlon Colorstay #13 in Sienna years ago(this was the old Colorstay formulation), I'd hit the color jackpot and have been hoping that Revlon would replicate that lovely warm berry shade with its new Colorstay formulation with Softflex.
When Revlon launched the Softflex formulation, I picked #345 in Red Velvet and #230 in Rich Raisin. On my pigmented lips, #345 turned out to be a bright, happy, uncomplicated (albeit flat) loud "LOOK AT ME!!" shade of blue-red. Whereas #230 was a bronze-y brown on my lips. Both colors had nothing on the old Sienna, though I rather like them nonetheless.
However, the Softflex formulation is definitely streets ahead of the old formulation: I wear it over my Neutrogena lipbalm and find that the new Colorstay is luxuriously creamy and a dream to apply. It went on well without tugging/dragging on my lips, and remained on evenly unlike the old Colorstay formulation which felt dry even over the same lipbalm, and was the devil to remove especially since it tended to sink into the grooves on my lips after hours of wear. Of course, the creamy texture also means I don't get as much hours of wear out of it as I used to with the old formulation, but that's something I can overlook.
Will repurchase this in other colors until I find my HG!

okay..i just noticed that this has no attention yet. Ive only just bought this today, but i wanted to at least start the review, and update it soon sense i was so curious, im sure others are too. Even though they had been picked over some, i was able to settle on 4 that I really wanted. (they were on sale for 6.49 AND it was bogo)
I choose;
Sheer Blossom,
which looked pretty bright pink on my hand, but when i tried it on my lips.. this was not the case at all. It was a very subtle pop of color with a realy light shimmer.
Sheer Bronze,
which is a medium shade giving my lips a rich color that i would call a rose bronzy with a light shimmer. I also applied the sheer blossom over the top and was very pleased with the effect.
Baby Peach, and Blissful Honey were my chioces from the creamy smooth collection. These are both more of a natural understated lip color..honey being a tad more brown then the baby peach. I havent played around with these too much yet.
I have bought Lipsticks that give the long lasting non drying claim before..and still use them..but didnt find them to be quite as long lasting and non drying as they say. Maybe it's because when i try a new formula i buy a more natural shade at first. I still use the other ones, and may pull these out for comparison soon.. either way I will definatly update on the condition of my lips and how the color of these lippies holds out.

They had a new display set up in CVS with some of the colors (maybe 8 or 10) and I thought, Why not!! Well, I bought Mocha silk. It is a lovely brown with hint of pink with only a smidge of shimmer (and I usually hate shimmer). I put it on, and it did not feel like the old colorstay at all. And unlike the overtime lipcolor, there was no topcoat to apply. At first a little came off of my glass, but then nothing else came off. I looked at it hours later and it looked like i just applied. I have worn it several days now.. and i really like it. It feels good, and the color is very nice. My HG has always been Faithful Fawn in the Overtime lipcolor. To me the color of the new Mocha silk is close to it, but a little darker and browner. I will try it for a bit longer and update, but so far, I am loving the new formula. My sister, also a overtime lipcolor wearer tried it this weekend and also loved it. I will wait till the rest of the colors come out in stores, then will try another color (perhaps lighter). Just watchout, some look really shimmery/glittery in the tubes, and be sure to look at the actual lipstick for the color, the little stickers on the bottom are always off.
