This review is for the "Linda Evangelista Beige #809", so I am not sure if it's the same beige, but it's one of the celebrity shades. I got this at Walmart on clearance last week for $2.29, which was a steal, particularly because they didn't have it marked(I hate when they do that) so I happened to price check it to discover it was. Anyway, this lipstick was so smooth and glided lovely on the lips. It was not matte at all. I was shocked at how good it felt. However the bad thing is it did nothing for my complexion. Because my skin is already brown this shade matched my skin perfectly, so it made it look as if I just had on a light brown sheer gloss or barely anything at all. I don't want my lipstick to look basic, I want it to have some definition. So I pulled out my faithful dark brown lip liner to see if I could see some improvement in the shade, but there was no hope, it was the same thing. It really looked as if I didn't have anything on my lips. I was sad too, because it was a good deal and it felt great on my lips and it would have been my first L'Oreal lipstick. But this did not work for me. The color was too much of a match.

We all have similar indian skintones...I'm a Bobbi Brown Honey with pigmented lips and WOW this colour works great on me! Its a perfect nude over a good lipliner! I love that its all buttery and makes my lips so soft and shiny like a gloss...its so perfect! I wish it wasn't LE...this would have been my HG nude lippie for ages!! Oh, and my mom n sis..both in love with it as much as I am!! :D

* Me - NC30, darkish pigmented lips
* Review - I seem to have discovered this lipstick quite late in the game but as the saying goes, better late than never ;) This is a really nice natural color on me. It's a nude color that doesn't look like concealer or foundation on my lips nor does it disappear like a tinted lip balm either. It's my second MLBB lipstick, after the Linda Mauve 716 which is my favorite of the Star Secrets series from L'Oreal.
* Cons - Typical L'Oreal lipstick scent. Hence, 1 lippie off the overall rating.
* Price - €3.50 from a cosmetic discounter
* Verdict - I will repurchase another one as a back-up before this disappears forever!

This is my other go to lipstick..especially when i do a dark smokey eye! I love the color and it looks great on me. Always makes me smile. I have 2 tubes and am currently trying to acquire more. I think it's Linda's beige 806 regularly but i want the one with Rai's siggy on it..i like the black tube better.

If anybody has one they'd like to sell me or swap let me know.

Beautiful. Plain and simple. Shows up lovely on my fair-medium skin tone. P.S. I have NEVER given a lippy a five star.

I'll start with a positive, the packaging is nice and so is the texture.

The reason I didn't like this color is because it was too natural and didn't really show up on me at all. I guess it was too close to my natural lip color, perhaps it would show up better on someone that is more pale because I have a light to medium complexion with yellow tones.

Also, in the advertisement for this color, it shows Aishwarya with lips that are very pink and shimmery. Obviously she is not really wearing this color (or a really pink pigmented gloss was layered over it or they digitally added the color). There is nothing pink about this color.

I'm very pale, so I can't honestly say why I picked up a lipstick designed for Aishwarya Rai! But I'm so glad I did. This is a gorgeous rosy nude, everyday, polished lipstick. I have turned several friends onto this color after they saw me apply it, so I'd say it works for a variety of skintones. I haven't been able to figure out if "Linda's Beige" is the same color, but I sure hope so because this is a product I would repurchase over and over.

I was instantly satisfied with this product the first time i tried it.Its the perfect nude shade & i often get questioned about this shade when wearing it.
I love this lipstick & how dewy it is. Its not dry at all. It goes on easily & lasts long.
I bought 3 of these & stock up when i see them as they sell out so fast in most of the stores i go to.

Love this product!

It's the perfect, browny pink nude lipstick that can easily be applied without a mirror and is the perfect smokey eye accompaniment for anyone who dislikes the very pale, dead lip look!!!

It gives the most simpliest of outfits a fabulous polish, too. Worth purchasing before it's gone-I will be.

Just bought this at the drugstore dirt cheap because it's being discontinued. I LOVE it. It's sheer, slightly shimmery, slightly darker than the natural color of my lips. My lips look natural except better! I hope they have a replacement for this shade! I would absolutely buy it again.

My fave HG lipcolor! I've almost used up my second tube and will need to buy another soon. If I'm running late this is the one i grab for because i know it will look good and last at least to mid day. a nice day color for the office. nudy beige, satin finish.

Now Linda Evangilista Beige: This one has a little more pink tone. So I use this one in the morning and have the other one in my purse as a backup. updated 12/17

i generally hate wearing lipstick or gloss,but this is my HG nude/MLBB shade.i searched forever for a nude-ish lippie but it was impossible.they were all either too flat,too cool,too warm,too silvery,too shimmery,too pale,BLAH.this is perfect.the only lipstick i've ever actually used up.it's lovely going on,really smooth and moisturizing.i wish it lasted a little longer,but that's my only complaint.i think they recently renamed it someone else's beige,though,at least here in the US.

i'll give loreal thumbs up for the nice packaging of this lippie, but this looks too sheer. This is nice for someone who would appreciate a natural make up look yet I dislike using this for myself. Hope this review was helpful! Cheers! =]

I'm not much for lipstick, because I don't like the feeling on my lips. Actually, anything that "feels" is dumped pretty quickly. I like them when I forget I'm wearing anything on my lips. And this one does that. I've read a lot of reviews saying that the color is too sheer and takes too many applications for anything to show. That's one thing I like about it. I think this lipstick is great for those of us who are makeup "naturalists", if you will. I can't find it anywhere now, and am hoping to come across a good dupe - I'm quite the sad panda over this, and have hidden it away so I don't overuse it. I love the neutral tone of it, the slight shimmer and sheen, the sheerness, what it does to my complexion. :(

Found it again: L'oreal has been changing the model for this lipstick, after Aishwarya, I think they made it Linda Evangelista's Beige (809), and now it's Diane Kruger's Beige (still 809). Going by the number is a safe bet.

I love this lip color. On me it is a somewhat sheer, rosy beige. There is a slight shine to the product. For me this is a "my lips but better" color so I find myself reaching for it often because its low maintenance but definitely adds a polished touch. I took off one lippie because of the fragrance added to the lipstick. The smell reminds me of my grandmother and other little old ladies. Not really a bad smell, but not a sexy smell either. Luckily it goes away (or I get used to it) quickly.

This is my HG nude lippie. I keep it on my desk at work and can swipe it on w/out having to check in a mirror. It's moisturizing and has just enough color to make my super-pale lips look less like I just woke from the dead and more like I just returned from vacation. The color isn't anything dazzling but that's what I want in a nude lipstick.

Basic, boring neutral lipstick with a slight amount of shimmer. When I got this home, I realized it's just like ever other neutral lipstick that I already own. Will probably use this to tone down some of my darker lipsticks. Nothing special.

On Aishwarya it looks so wonderfully pigmented. The real product didn't deliver >.< Have to coat on at least 4x to get any colour out of it. Nevertheless it is an inoffensive colour that is suitable for daytime use and I think anyone can pull it off because it is so sheer. And it lasts enough to go from break to break at work lol. L'Oreal's smell can put some people off, but I can deal with it. Packaging is also much better than the usual gold Color Riche. I don't think I'll repurchase again, but it is acceptable for DS prices.

I got this during bogof and I was curious about it because I've seen it on the beauty board a lot of times before. I didn't have any expectations of how it should show on my lips but it did seem brownish just looking at it.

On my lips it did show up as a warm brown (my lips without lipstick is just right - not too pale nor too pigmented). I think it's a perfect neutral shade for work when I want to look polished. I also like that it's moisturizing. I just don't like the smell but I can live with it considering the pros.

I really like this lipstick. It reminds me of the formulation of L'Oreal's former Colour Juice lipsticks, sheer and glossy. I pair mine with a plummy brown lipliner to add a punch of color. I too have noticed Aishwarya's Beige no longer belongs to Aishwarya. I have since found tubes merely labeled BEIGE and the slot where this shade resides in the drugstore accompanied by a picture of Linda Evangelista. Has L'oreal dumped Aishwarya? Perhaps to set the stage for Frieda Pinto? We shall see...
