Absolutely would buy again.
The color... is a pastel/light shade. Not midtone, but definitely not pale. It is a cool green veering to the blue side of the spectrum, and it is not intense, but soft. The shimmer is microfine and glinty and it is monochromatic with the color. Others may not like this color because it is sheerish. I say, no, this color needs to be sheer. I believe it was designed to be sheer in keeping with the name, Emerald Lake which signifies a misty greenish fairy lake in some sort of a magical valley.
The Application... this is a very runny color and I put it over Zoya Anchor base coat. The combination was good. Though thin and runny, the first coat lay down where placed with slight gloopage, most of which I fixed with a handy implement. The second coat covered any streakage of the first layer. Great texture at this point; 2 coats were needed.
The Wear... minimal tip wear at the end of day 2, Zoya Armor topcoat. I'd recommend, and as for sheer haters, remember some colors are designed to be sheer.

Love this shade! It's a gorgeous teal green shimmer- lighter than CND's Jaded but not a pastel shade either. I'm always impressed with China Glaze's quality!
