I'm not sure if I would purchase this one again.. I don't have sensitive skin or any breakouts at all but for some reason this really burns my skin sometimes. It goes away soon after a minute, thankfully. My skin feels and looks really nice after and I follow with Kiehl's Ultra Creme. Overall I think this does a great job, but because of the burn, I probably won't repurchase. I may ask for a few samples of other Kiehl's toners before I buy next time (this was my first time using their products).

This did a great job purging my skin after cleansing, and it also did not leave residue like other sensitive skin/non-alcoholic toners on the market. But after a few days of use, I broke out pretty significantly in my t-zone. I'm not sure what is responsible for this, but I would not recommend this product for sensitive/acne-prone skin.

I like this toner because it always removes a bit more makeup even when I think I've cleansed really well. It is non irritating and calms down my facial redness. Not sure how much else it does, but then that's all a toner is supposed to do ... Get your face extra clean and soothe your skin. No it doesn't make pores smaller, no toner will do that. Once a pore has filled and stretched it cannot get smaller, but by keeping them clean then pores will appear smaller.
Try this toner if you have sensitive dry skin.

This is just an average toner.
It haven't done anything bad to my skin, but it didn't do much to improve it either. it didn't do much beside removing access stuff on my face which my cleanser left. it not hydrating either. Overall, not purchasing this again.

I do NOT recommend this toner. It dries out/irritates my skin, the smell if foul, and most important, it doesn't work. I won't be buying this product again.

I first tried this product at a friend's house and loved it. It really had a elegant after feel which was very pleasant... so I decided to get one on my own but strangely it didn't feel the same way it did when I first tried it. Though it's alcohol free, It stung my face a little bit but it didn't break me out or anything.. other then that I don't really have much to say about this toner. I put it aside for now but I will be trying it out again in the near future to decide if it's good or not.. but from the first look of it I don't think i will be repurchasing this one.

I returned to the toner fold a year or so ago. Prior to this, all I did was cleanse and towel dry my face before applying moisturizer. Then I was given a sample of Kiehl's Cucumber Herbal Toner and after using it, I noticed that my moisturizer sank into my skin much better and I've been a toner convert ever since. Probably on to my third bottle of this product.

Pros:
- didn't irritate my skin at all
- fragrance free
- no stinging
- moisturizer seems to sit better on my skin, I use the toner both morning and night
- overall better texture to skin, no flakiness.

Cons:
- none really.

I've only used this toner during the summer when I have a very oily t-zone. I tried it out numerous times thinking it would help balance my skin, but it actually left me a even more oily mess, borderline slimy. I never experiences any stinging as mentioned by other reviewers. I now use this only on my chest and upper back for any acne that might flare up from reactions to hair products.

Fortunately, I found this toner at a reduced price at off saks.

I have to agree with many other users here that it bloody stings! If it didn't say on the label that it does not contain alcohol, I would absolutely believe it did. Also, my skin turned really dry. I do use a heavily mattifying facial cream because I have sensitive but very oily skin and occasional blemishes and in this combination, meaning toner AND cream, my skin got really, really dry. It's nothing a good moisturizing mask couldn't cure but yeah - I'm not happy. The toner did help to make my skin look really clear and radiant. It's definitely beautiful to look at but it doesn't feel that way. So what can I say? It's expensive, the skin doesn't feel all that great after using it but it's working. Still though, I will use up this bottle but won't buy again. My skin is just way too sensitive for that.

I was disappointed with this toner, I have oily skin that is not sensitive and at times I found this stung a little around my nose and mouth. I used the product up as I did not want to waste, but I found it ineffective as a toner.

My skin usually loves cucumber so I hoped this would be a good soother for blotchy, sensitive days. This didn't make any real difference. For a toner this is relatively moisturizing. It didn't dry me out, but it didn't do anything else, either. I gave it an extra lippie for its lovely, mysterious deep green color.

This toner is suppose to be alcohol-free but the smell is strong is smells like a bottle of alcohol!!!! I only apply it on my t-zones because it dries out my cheeks too much. Overall, I would not purchase it again because I really can't stand the bad smell.

I have been using this product for years. I love it! I'm not sure from the other reviews what kind of skin it is being used on but I have sensitive skin with some ruddiness and rosacea. My sking is also just a little dry on the cheeks, slightly oily t-zone.I find this very soothing after cleansing. I don't ask much from a toner, it just needs to make my skin feel good and this does, it refreshes it.. I actually stopped by the kiehls store on my way home tonight to get some even though I was dog tired because I thought I would run out!. I can tell the difference in how my skin feels if I don't use it. I've tried other cucumber toners and they are not the same. I also like that it takes off that little bit of makeup residue that I miss from cleansing. The price is just a little off putting but I buy the big bottle which is a better value. I do wish that Kiehls would put a better cap on it. A few times the hinge on the flip top broke and I had to transfer the toner to another bottle

This product was terrible. I got quite a large sample of this, and I used it for two weeks before dry patches started appearing on my skin. It was TERRIBLE. I couldn't even cover up with concealer, it was so dry and gross. Once i stopped using this and went back to my previous toner, the patches subsided. (Whew!)
Note: I have dehydrated and sensitive skin. Oily T-Zone.

I think i like this product. It is a gentle toner does what it should. It cleans, and it balance the water/oil level on my face. I just like Kiehl's, i guess.

I purchased a full size of this. But absolutely think that this has done nothing on my skin. The only good thing is that it doesn't produce any allergic reaction. That's all. After 2 years, I still have half of this left, so I throw it away. Will not repurchase for sure.

Very disappointed with this product. It pretty much burnt my skin when I first applied. After about 2 minutes, my face bacomes extremely dry again. Don't recommend this product for sensitive skin.

This made my fore head break out with itchy baby acne. I have an oily Tzone and extremely dry face and this didnt do much for me.

The toner is not exactly soothing - it does have an astringent effect, which is good for my sometimes oily and breakout-prone skin. It isn't the best for my sensitivity.
