I meticulously apply sunscreen already so this is not a sunscreen review - the SPF15 is a nice addition though. I use this moisturizer after I get out of the shower (at night) as my skin is normally very dry after showering (otherwise it's combo/oily).
This provides a good base for makeup, especially mineral makeup that would otherwise appear too powdery on your skin. The consistency is nice and absorbs quickly without feeling too heavy.
I am not a fan of the scent but it doesn't linger for long.

For all of those who love this moisturizer-- I just picked it up for 2$ at Dollar-rama (in Canada)! I also bought the face wash. I figure that Dove is usually a pretty safe brand, and if I hated it I would only be out a few dollars.
I was a bit hesitant to try it because I found that the energy glow body moisturizer left streaks, but I'm happy to see so many positive reviews.

My biggest beef with most sunscreens, especially facial ones, is that they tend to leave this rubbery film on your face, which I hate. This was the first product I've tried that didn't. I initially thought it would be too heavy for summer, but it wasn't, which was a pleasant surprise.
As for the sparkles some have mentioned, I initially had no idea what they were talking about. I eventually discovered that if I held a blob of it on my hand up to direct sunlight, there was a bit of a glimmer, but I certainly saw no such thing on my face, no matter how hard I looked. Maybe there's a difference in formula between countries?
In any case, I would be more than happy to re-purchase, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I'm experimenting with substitutes, but have yet to find another without the rubbery residue issue.

My biggest complaint about this product is that you run out so quickly, and you can't 'scrape' the last little bit out of the container! I really like this moisturizer as an every day moisturizer with spf, on a day when I'm working and I don't need a heavier spf, it feels wonderfully soft and sinks in, even my 16 year old daughter wears it under her makeup and getting her to put sunscreen on is a major feat. The cost here in Canada is $13.99 and you don't get very much product for that. That being said, I would buy it again, it's good stuff!

I remember using this a lot up to last year. That was when i decided to try something new after someone asked me why my face was so sparkly. It was true! My face had tiny sparkles on it but i though it looked nice until other people started noticing. Other than that, this product is nicely moisturising, feels nice and smooth when you put it on. Only other complaint is the packaging because the lotion ran out quickly and I felt as though there may be more in the bottle which i can't get out. Otherwise, this is good stuff and I think i'll start using this again.

i'm already on my 3rd bottle of this stuff.it's one of the more affordable facial moisturizers, and since i use dove soap on my body as well i knew i would have good results. it's non-greasy and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight. i love how soft it makes my skin feel too. dove makes amazing products so i would recommend this moisturizer in a second!

I really like this lotion. I noticed, after using this, that my skin looked better and I, unlike others, do not even notice the "sparkles" ... like, in the least.
The only downside to this product is that I can't find it ANYWHERE. Only the Energy Glow products (self tanners) are stocked in the stores in D.C.-area. So, I've taken to purchasing this online.

This is my favourite moisturizer! Love that it has UVA and UVB protection and yet it doesn't make me break out. I like the subtle shimmer and the light, Dove scent. Also, the hygienic pump is great. I'll buy this again and again.

I like this product because it works well with my combo skin, and doesn't migrate into my eyes like some lotions tend to do. I have never really been bothered by the sparkles on my face but they are there in the right light. It is thick but does not cause breakouts, and the hygenic pump pack is a plus as well. As much as I agree with the marketing strategies Dove takes for their products you may not know that Unillever is also in charge of the Lynx range of young mens toilietries that have advertsing that isn't exacly promoting the acceptance of all female body types. Still, all politics/marketing angles aside, I have bought this one again and again.

This is a pretty good lotion, although it's a bit rich for my combo skin. It smells great and I love the broad spectrum sunscreen. I even like the slight shimmer and the classic Dove scent. What i hate and the major reason why i am not repurchasing is the pump. Yes, it should be good in theory but mine never dispenses properly even when it's totally upside down. I'm left with 1/4 of the lotion that I can't get out. That really irritates me. This is the second one to have done that to me as I reurned the first one cause it did that as well.

I got this based on the rec from Dr. Baumann (Skintype Solutions I am a DRPW)At the time I bought this my skin was dry, flaky and had breakouts. This helped with the dryness and flakies and did not break me out. Great Moisturizer for my combo slightly dry skin. I love the pump. I didn't have a problem with fragrance or sparkles with this. This moisturizer is a little thick but went on my skin nicely without a heavy or greasy feeling. This will be a staple for me. Love it.

I purchased this moisturizer b/c it recd some great reviews. I was very disappointed when I used it b/c #1. The fragrance was overpowering and #2. The "shimmer" (glitter) was overpowering. As a result I immediately returned for a refund. I should say though that the packaging was very top quality and sanitary.

I love Dove’s Energy Glow Brightening moisturizer SPF15. I've been using it for over a year now and haven’t really had a problem with it. I like the texture and it really does make your skin glow (in a good way)! My only complaint is that I didn’t find it to moisturizing during the winter months in Canada. I find this moisturizer is better suited for spring, summer, and fall. I have combo/acne prone skin and find it so tough to find a good moisturizer that won’t make me breakout, but this one I would have to say is pretty good.

I looked for quite some time for a product that provided moisture and sunscreen without being greasy or breaking me out. This is it! I love that it gives me a subtle glow. I bought this on a whim, and I'm really glad I did. I love the packaging. It is very hygenic. I really love the results!! My skin is much clearer. No breakouts whatsoever! I do find it slightly expensive, but it will last a good while. I will definitely repurchase.

I used this last winter but then stopped because Unilever (Dove) test on animals. When i used it, it left a nice little shimmer on my face (which could be annoying if you didn't want to shimmer)- but it was good and light..very easy to use, provides sun protection. No brightening qualities unless they consider the shimmer a brightening effect..but it's cheap and Dove so don't' expect much. if you're looking for an everyday cheap sunscreen moisturizer then it's probably a safe bet- as long as you don't mind the ethics of the company!
Frankly, I'm still annoyed that Dove uses curvier women to advertise for cellulite products and then pretend to be all about self-esteem improvement for real women, well then..enough said.

Overall: 5
Price: I don't know how much it really is, I got mine free from my cousin-- she works for Dove's marketing department
Packaging: 5

I tried this because I didn't want to bring 2 lotion bottles with me to the gym (lotion, spf) so I thought I'd bring this instead, since it was a moisturizer and had SPF too. I normally wear SPF30, but I figure these days I'm not outside much anyway, so the SPF 15 will do.
When I first felt the texture, I was worried it would be too oily and greasy for my normal-combo skin. This lotion is said to be for normal-dry (on the box) and has a semi-thick weight to it, but I was pleasantly surprised! It actually absorbed quite easily, and left me with a matte finish! It didn't feel heavy or greasy-- it's moisturizing enough for my drier winter skin, but not so much that it makes me feel weighed down.
I'm acne prone, so I always look at the ingredients-- this lotion actually doesn't contain any oil. I tried the first Dove lotion +spf that came out a while ago (white bottle, blue cap) and I hated it because it has sunflower oil and made me a greasy mess. This stuff is SO much better, and has a very cute bottle shape and pump, which I really like. It prevents mess and oxidation, and the small size (50 mL) makes it convenient for travel.
This product contains a little bit of shimmer, but I actually can't see it on my skin until I get up really close to the mirror- normally I hate products with shimmer because they make me look greasy and enlarge my pores, but this stuff is amazing! It just gives me a brightened, awake sort of look, and makes me look really fresh. There is also a slight scent to this lotion, but I don't feel that it is aggravating at all. In fact, I think it's a very nice light, fresh smell.
I feel this is a great lotion + SPF for winter time usage, since I'm barely outside, so the SPF 15 is enough. But, in the summer I still prefer to wear at least SPF30. Overall, I would repurchase for winter time (but I already still have another new one in my cupboard-- gotta love freebies!)

love this. my new day moisturiser, because it saves me putting on moisturiser then sunblock! sun protection is so important to have two steps into one saves so much time. I looked at this because paula begoun gave it a good rave on its antioxidant ingredients. at first I was sceptical about the texture – it seems really thick and greasy – but I have found that it absorbs really easily to a good smooth matte texture – so it is perfect for applying any makeup over the top (some days I mix it with a small drop of rosehip oil, and this makes it slipperier and easier to move around). the shimmer doesn’t worry me – maybe in Australia we have a different or finer formulation. I mean, I can see it there if I put my face right up to the mirror but I don’t honestly think it’s an issue. especially if I’m wearing makeup. finally but most importantly after the SPF, my skin feels perfectly moisturised and hydrated too. a great day moisturiser that I will be buying again.

Good news - this is almost an exact formulation of Dove's discontinued Fresh Radiance Anti - Aging Lotion (which I LOVED - see my review for it), right down to the identical container. BAD news: for some reason, Dove decided to load this product up with shimmer. The Fresh Radiance did have SOME shimmer to it, but definitely not as noticeable as the shimmer is in the Energy Glow. When I wore Fresh Radiance, I could only see the shimmer if I wore the moisturizer alone - when I put makeup (foundation, powder, etc) over it, I could no longer make out any shimmer. However, when I put makeup on over the Energy Glow, I can still make out EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL PARTICLE OF SHIMMER. I'm still glad that they're making this formulation, but I wish they would rethink the shimmer.

Although I love the pump and the price I can't say I'm a big fan of the texture. Even after letting this absorb it feels very sticky on my skin, and when I put on my foundation it feels like I'm trying to spread it over fly paper. Olay's feels better than this.
