I blow dry and flat iron, I also curl on occasion. My hair is processed and is long, about waist length and I don't trim as much as I should so I know a product to protect my hair from heat damage is necessary for healthy hair. Other sprays I have tried have left my hair sticky, crunchy, frizzy or left my hair looking dull.
I use the Pro Mend version and it leaves my hair incredibly soft, light and bouncy and smooth. After using for about 6-8 weeks I have noticed improved health in my hair. I love this product, the spray bottle is great, it has a wide spray that makes coating all of your hair easy.
My only complaint is it is a little pricey and it takes a lot of product to coat my long hair properly so it ends up being pretty expensive. I wish I would have had the same results with the Aussie since the Aussie is much more affordable.
THE best in heat protection and a must for someone who heat styles.

A friend gave me a sample size, so I really can't comment on packaging and price for full size, but I know it's a lot. I barely heat treat my hair, but if I do, this has to come along for the ride. Amazing. It helps protect and seal my hair and it just feels super nice. I really like it.

My hair was super damaged after bleaching it twice. I went to Walgreens to pick up something that would help my hair because I was going to school the next day. After using this ONCE, my hair felt so much better than it did before. I curled it for school and my hair did look damaged but not straw-like as it would've if I didn't use this heat protectant. So far the best and I love it.

I have usually bought and used the TREsemme Heat Tamer spray. It worked well, cheap, and smells nice. After I finished my last bottle, I decided to try Nexus brand of heat protecting spray. It was definitely more expensive; about 3 to 4 dollars more. Well, I was not impressed. I used it for a week, and then went back to my Tresemme. What a difference, the Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray just works so much better, smells nicer and is way cheaper. Leaves my (procesed hair) much more softer, moisterized, and silky. Just goes to prove that expensive does not always mean better results.

After finishing my first bottle of this, I decided to shop around and try other heat protection sprays. This was out of curiosity, not because it wasn't working! I have long, fine hair and all other heat protection products left my hair greasy and weighed down. Anything that claims to add shine just makes my hair dirty. The worst of all was CHI, which I thought might protect better with my flat iron but instead was like hairspray, and caused my hair to be crispy, stuck together, and full of tangles the next morning. Needless to say, I have returned to this product and to my great delight my hair is tangle-free, shiny, and healthy! Oooo...and really really soft!!! If you are expecting a lot of shine or have coarse hair this product may not be for you...but if you have fine hair and you want it to have a healthy shine to it without a bunch of grease weighing it down this is perfect.

Note: I spray a lottttttt of this stuff on and it never makes my hair look too greasy. I think it just makes it softer and I feel like I'm protecting it better than with other sprays where I would have to spray it on my hand first to make sure I'm not putting too much on :)

This is my favorite heat protectant spray that I have tried to date. Previously, my favorite was Organix Brazilian Therapy heat protectant spray which makes your hair unbelievable shiny and works great but once I realized it contains alcohol, which I'm trying to avoid, I was on the hunt for an alcohol-free version that worked just as well. I try to avoid alcohol because obviously it's very drying to the hair. I don't blow dry, heat style my hair often enough to notice if the Organix spray did dry out my hair but I wanted to switch anyways. Sooo...On with the review! This works nice but I miss the shine I used to get with Organix. It's not bad though, I love that this doesn't make my hair feel dry when I heat style my hair like some heat protectant sprays can do (Tresemme). This doesn't make my hair feel like it's full of product, it doesn't weigh hair down and it can still make my hair feel good the next day without feeling stiff.

Anyways you're better off buying TREsemme heat tamer. Its works the same but half the price.
Plus TREsemme smells nice and i hate the smell of this!

I love this product! I have frizzy, wavy, course hair and it really makes my hair shiny and healthy. It doesn't weigh my hair down at all or make it sticky or oily. The smell is very pleasant and not overpowering. I spray it on before I blow dry and in sections when I straighten my hair.

This is a geat product! I have very fine/dry hair and I use heat styling at least 5 days out of the week. I spray this on before I flat iron or curl sections of my hair. It doesn't weigh my hair down or leave any residue. I have less frizzies and my hair feels more manageable. Will purchase again!

I absolutely love nexxus products! I have fine relaxed hair and this heat protectant doesn't weigh my hair down and it leaves it shiny and bouncy after blow drying/flat ironing! 5 lippies!

Love this product! It smells great (not chemical), leaves my hair shiny and soft, does not leave a greasy feeling and does a good job of heat protection. I've been using it for 3 years now and my hair does not fry!
The only issue i have is the cap of this product, I always seem to break it whenever I open it =\ (im sure thats only me)

I tried 3 Heat Protectant sprays this month. Nexxus, Got2B, and TreSemme.

Of all the sprays, when used on wet hair, Nexxus was the only one that left my freshly curled hair soft. The others felt crispy! (Mind u most ppl don't curl wet hair)

Love it. The Light scent is subtle enough to use in an office where perfumes and scents are not permitted.

I was pretty happy with this product; it kept my hair feeling like it's natural texture while protecting it from the heat. The smell isn't all that bad, and I find that it makes my hair even softer. The only thing I don't like is the bottle shape; I find it awkward to hold and spray. Nevertheless, I will still buy it. (:

Everything they say about this product is true.. I was using John Frieda Heat Defeat for a while before this and there's just no comparison. Heat Protexx NOTICEABLY made my hair feel and look healthier within 1-2 weeks of using it, it's now up there with my other HGs, Enjoy's Hair Mask and Joico's K-Pak Leave-In.. With that said, let me advise you that the trick is to use it consistently and evenly over all your hair, sectioning it off is a good idea. The packaging is great, no complaints here. Will definitely be purchasing again. And again.

Pleasant, very minimal odor, plays well with other products, light on hair, doesn't gunk up the iron, and comes in a very well-designed bottle.

I tried this an alternative to Chi Iron Guard, and I am liking it better. While the Chi has the possible advantage of having a shorter ingredient list that doesn't make you feel weird about putting double digits of chemicals into your hair every morning, I just hated the smell - even though it was admittedly light. The Heat Protexx odor is more pleasant and mostly disappears afterwards. The bottle is a nice bonus - nice pump with trigger and a wide, tip-resistant base.

I LOVE this product!

My hair: coarse, wavy, thinning, I've used heat styling every other day for over 10 years.

Not only does it protect from heat it gets rid of frizz and makes my hair soft without making it greasey or flat.

I also love how the spray nozzle comes with a lock too so you can travel with it without it exploding everywhere.

I use this for everyday blow drying, but I use Kerastase on days when I flat iron my hair because it really protects my hair. But for the price this product does a great job! I've noticed when using this my hair gets more straight and it smells great too!

I LOVE this product. I just got it a few days ago and it really reduced the frizz from my hair. I have wavy/curly hair and I've always had a problem with my hair being really poofy or frizzy when i style my hair. Definitely worth buying.

This makes my hair soft and shinny. The thing that just kills me about these thremal protectors is that you really don't know how well they're protecting your hair until damage is done. So far, I really like the way this makes my hair feels, so, I'm assuming that it's working.

EDIT (8/5/10): After two bottles, I think this does an ok job at protection, but nothing great. It's better than using no heat protection.
