I love the smell of this product! If you have tanned skin or tanned lips, the purplish colour of the lipbalm will compliment your skin tone. I hated the sweet lemon lip butter because it made the skin on my lips peel by itself so I was skeptical to buy another one but this lip butter doesn't give me that problem at all. The staying power isn't that great during the day and you'll have to reapply about every two hours but this depends on the amount of product you use on your lips. However, if you use this at night, for some reason it works wonders! Sometimes, I can still feel that some product is left on my lips in the morning. When I sleep overnight with this on, I wake up to find my lips extra plump and moisturised as well as a significant reduction in fine lines. Note: I apply a fairly normal amount at night as I would during the day.

I don't find it quite hydrating and thats major con for a lip balm.
But the packagine is nice and smells delicious, although a bit strong.
I use it only during hot months, since it feels more creamy (in the wintertime it's kinda solid which I detest) once in a while just for the smell.
The pinky-mauve colour is not bad either.
Overall I feel that it sits on the lips for a while, hydrates a bit and smells good. Won't repurchase, there are much more effective lip balms out there.

Bought this on a whimp even before i bought the one in shea butter. It was pretty decent lip moisturiser. Love the scent though. I'm a passion fruit fan. Leaves a nice sheen on my lips.. not too glossy nor too pale. However, i made a mistake of bring it to sentosa beach and after that the texture was pretty gloppy and even after i tried to put it in the fridge to get back it's original texture, it just remained the same. It's not a fantastic lip moisturizer but it's ok. I got caught by it's scent..

I purchased this because of the smell and I have a weakness for 'butter'. It feels great when you apply it, but it's not an amazing moisturizer. I wouldn't repurchase it at retail, but if it was available on sale I may try different scents, just because I do like the smell/ feel of it.

First off, I want to say that I love the body shop's lip butters, but their born lippy line doesn't work for me. It might be the opposite for you, though, so try and experiment between the two in the shop before you buy. Say, one day lip butter, next day born lippy. ;p

This lip butter smells amazing! A lot of people might find it a bit harsh, but it's a matter of preference. I thought the bodyshop's born lippy line was a bit strong and tacky, but not this one. I find myself wanting to apply it all day long, and opening the pot just to smell it, because it really does smell good. It's quite strong though, so if you don't like the smell, I advise you not to buy it, because you're not going to want to put it on.

Unlike the born lippy line, (which I regret buying, because whenever I put any of those on, it felt tacky and sticky, and definately not moisturising) this one moisturises and smoothes well, and feels really good on the lips. It also tones down my red lips into a more flattering pinky shade, which I love. There's also a slight gloss to it, which is pretty much the reason I bought it the first place. It's quite subtle on me. Don't be afraid with the thought of putting purple lip butter on, it does not come out purply looking at all, at least on me, it just tones down your lip colour. I cant seem to taste the butter on my lips, so that's a good thing.

On days where my lips are extremely dry (cracking, peeling, etc) I would need to apply a bit more of this, and a bit more often, but it does really help. Unless you lick the balm off, it could last a good three or four hours on moderately dry/normal lips, and half an hour when it's extremely dry.

A little of this really does go a long way. And when I mean little, I mean really little. Just a small swirl of your fingertip will be enough to cover your entire lips. I've only had this for two weeks now, so I can't say how long it will last, but I can't imagine finishing it in a few months.

It is definately pricey though, which I hate.
Also makes you want to buy the whole lip butter collection.

edit: The constintency changes a lot - depending on whether it's hot outside or not. Sometimes i'd pick it up and it'd be firm, sometimes it'd be... melty. I like it slightly melted, so I usually warm it up with my hands first.

This product did not moisturize my lips at all. Vaseline did a much better job than this. When I first bought this, I liked the scent when I sniffed it from the container. But when I put it on my lips, the scent was too strong. I also don't like the container. I don't think lip balms stored in jar containers is very sanitary. I much prefer squeeze tubes. I will not be repurchasing this.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!!!!!!
I've repurchased it for the 3rd time and I am always amazed by this product.
First of all, it has a great smell. And it has a nice taste. My boyfriend loves the taste as well and is intrigued to kiss me whenever he smells it. Even he loves it!!!
It moisturizes my lips really well and leaves my lips soft, radiant and hydrated. All the cracks and dead lip cells are gone and all that's left are the nice smell, the good taste and the soft feeling of your lips.
This is my HG of lip balms. I have never encountered a better one and I've tried loads....
I absolutely love it and will repurchase it again and again and again....

People seem pretty split on the scent/flavor aspect of this lip butter. The scent is very sharply fruity, not my fave, but I do like it. I don't lick my lips when I'm wearing lip products, so I can't comment to the taste. It's not powerful or gross enough that I noticed it.

As for the moisturizing effects, this goes on smooth and sinks in, so my lips don't stay smooth/slick long, but it relieves the dryness. Find myself reapplying often. Probably not for extremely dry/chapped lips, but just for maintenance of "normal" lips.

I like it. It's not essential. I got it on sale, but at normal price, I'll pass.

I'm so sad to see that this product doesn't have the best reviews. It saved my lips! I was (and still am) an avid Burt's Bees user however since buying this I haven't reached for my Burt's chapstick in over a week. My lips are pretty difficult and it's hard to find a good treatment for them. This is moisturizing, yet doesn't make my lips peel and really leaves my lips feeling super soft. It also provides a nice sheen that enhances my natural lip color. I really don't mind lip products that are in a pot form and I think the packaging is adorable. I can't wait to try the Coconut one!

It smells delicious but didn't do much besides just sit on top of my lips. It disappears after 10 minutes without my lips feeling any more moisturized than they were before I applied it. I thought that maybe I could use it to tone down my bright lipsticks instead, but it just removed them. This is definitely not for dry lips.

I usually love to write long reviews (reallyyyy long... look at my Stila Cherry Crush and Maybelline Mineral Concealer to see what I'm talking about), but this product doesn't deserve my time.

Pros: the smell is UNBELIEVABLE, when warmed the product is very smooth, pretty hydrating at first, nice shine

Cons: Makes my lips more chapped (I think I have some sort of reaction to this product), texture is grainy if not warmed up, does nothing to hydrate my lips, fairly expensive for a lip balm, gross taste, bad container

I might start using it as cuticle cream. I think it might work well that way. I want to find a way to use it just because it smells soooo good My lips react really negatively to it though.

Although the smell is heavenly, i wouldn't repurchase as i find the texture of the product gets kind of grany near the end. Maybe this was just a one off experience though. I did find it moisturising and smooth, though i do think there are better lip balms on the market.

I don't really like the scent. It moisturizes but like the born lippy, it leaves white stuff on my lips.

I started off using the Born Lippy in Passion Fruit, but I bought this one accidently and I LOVE IT EVEN MORE! It doesn't do the best job at giving my lips moisture, but that passion fruit smell is just soo yummy! I would buy it again just for the scent. I didn't get the film mentioned by other users, but maybe that's because I rub my lips together so much that the film just melts.

I actually bought this because I love the weird film effect. It looks really nice on my lips. However this product dry my lips and did nothing to moisturize them, the pot can be a bit unhygenic and you can get better lip balm for a more cheaper price. The only thing that kept me using this product is because of the sheen it gives me and the heavenly smell. I love love the smell. But I probably wont repurchase.
