I'll be direct.....this is great if u don't intend to cry. When I first receive this product from swap, the liner was great and I can create a perfect liquid line right at my eye line. If I make a mess I can easily clean up with q-tip before it dries. It stays on well and won't smudge. But the thing is, when you cry, this completely dissolves and you'll become a raccoon. The mess is very hard to clean up unless u have water/oil mixture type eye makeup remover with you in the middle of the day. Well I don't.

I use this everyday and have reperchased several times because its Chanel and i very rarely stray when it comes to makeup.
Its a nice black liquid, nice consistancey....but having recently tried Diors version i noticed some flaws in the Chanel one!
The lid/brush handle is slightly too long which makes getting close to the mirror when applying a bit difficult.
Also, the very tip of the brush looks like its cut quite blunt which makes it very hard to get an effortless flick at the end of the eyelid. It somehow leaves it looking a bit smudged!
The Dior Version has a shorter handle so you can grip it better for more control and the very tip of the brush comes to a tiny point which obviously means the bristles at the end are finer, this makes it much easier to get that feminine feline flick at the end of the line.
I think i may stick to the Dior one from now on, but i wouldnt rule out this completly should i run out.

I bought this product awhile ago in black, but I absolutely love it. It stayed on for more than 12 hours even without a base. Works a little strange and I had to get used to it a bit and it was kind of pricey but other than that I would DEFINETLY repurchase.

I have this in black. It is a good liquid eye liner, but not equal to the price, hence why I would not buy it again. It takes a fair bit of getting used to apply, and the color dries out quickly. You then give it a few clicks to get it going and then you have too much on the pen tip. Very frustrating.

best eye liner i have ever owned but i simply cannot afford it, the brush is perfect you can make a defined thick or thin line, the colour is so dark, i didn't experience flaking at all and i remember it's staying power was great but at the end of the night or feeling lazy i could gently rub it off with my hands which helped when i forgot during the day i had it on and would rub my eyes, i'd just keep on until it all came off. bottle is very small though, last quite a while but come on. I'd buy this again when i can afford it i.e. a graduate with a career lol

this is my fave eyeliner. i wear eyeliners everyday, so i am constantly trying diff eyelines and compare them. this is by far the best eyeliner i have tried. it stays all day and doesn't smudge even after sleeping. the brush makes it easy to draw the line as thin/thick as you want. i like this product better than the other eyeliners which are felt-tip, it provides more precision. it is pricey but its worth every penny, esp when you are able to rely on the product no matter what situation.

I have been using this product for years. It is the easiest applicator I have used. This is probably the reason I like it so much. I can make a thin even line every time. It stays on and does not smudge. I buy the brown and that is dark enough for me.

I've used this for years and years!!! I really love the applicator brush, which is firm yet easy to control. The only thing that has made me look for other liquid liners is that this one is not waterproof, and I always look like a raccoon by the end of the day. Otherwise, I love this liner! One stick lasts forever.

Love this, tried wet n wild bc Dillards was out of the Chanel, and i miss it. WNW is OK, but the chanel liquid is so easy to use, lasts all day, i am really missing it right now!! just waiting on my order. GREAT STUFF

Absolutely the best liquid eyeliner. Easy to use and easy to control - drawing a thin or a thick line. It does not smear either.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
Surprisingly, it did not stay on very long at all and didn't go on sharp enough. I actually prefer Stila smudgepots, which I never thought could be longer-lasting than Chanel.

Oh, too bad. I spent a lot on this product thinking it would be a superior eyeliner, but it's not. It is good, very solid on all fronts, which is hard to find in a liner, but it's neither extraordinarily pretty nor extraordinarily easy. It is easier than most, though. The application, the click pen, is very elegant. The black is quite black. You can control your line. And it does not budge. But if you want something super beautiful, this isn't it...go buy the Dunes quadra, as I should have!

(Me) Fair skin tone-blue/gray eyes/dark brown hair
(Automatic liquid eyeliner in brown)
(Price) $55.00 New Zealand
(Package) Black with Chanel logo embossed in gold
Quite hard to apply-will take some practice-I think the kohl eyeliner looks softer. Leaked out of the applicator after I replaced the lid. Horrible product. More a option for wannabe drag queens, or clowns out there. Way too harsh.

This is a review for the Chanel Liquid eye liner which is NOT the automatic one but the traditional one. I purchased this being new to liquid liners, so it was my first one. I found it hard to use at first and as I have used this about a month...I still find it hard to use with its own brush. I can not make a smooth line, the brush is not stiff enough so I have to use my own separate eye liner brush. Once you get the color right it stays on very well. Also the lid has already cracked, so the packaging surely did not get any plus points. I have also bought Chanels automatic liner and I liked that one much more. But if you dear MUAers know any traditional eye liners with stiffer brush, please let me know.

They still sell this product in Canada! This product really stays put and I've tried a bunch of different eyeliners. The only thing I don't like about it is that it harder to control and put on. But overall an awesome (my HG) product good texture and great staying power! This is so much better than Chanel's Automatic Liquid Eyeliner! The Chanel automatic eyeliner FLAKES! This is the better buy!!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair, Neutral Hair: Black Eyes: Green
This is by far the best liquid eyeliner that I have ever used. It goes on smoothly, does not flake or smudge, and lasts the entire day. The brush, which is very easy to use, makes is easy to draw thin or thick lines. I have only had it in black, and it is a true black. Definitely my HG liquid eye liner.

Discontinued! Argh! This always happens to me... especially with Chanel cosmetics. But took the advice of the counter staff and tried the new felt-tip liquid liner... and it's fabulous. It actaully stays put much, much better than the Liquid Eye Lines. Try it!!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I really liked the defined look this eyeliner gave me, the thin brush also allowed me to make really thin close-to-my-lashline lines. . . it stayed put all day long too!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Dry Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
My favorite liquid eyeliner hands down. I'm on my third tube already. I have it in Onyx and can't get enough of it. It surpasses Lancome's Artliner by far. Dries quickly and the brush is very thin which helps in appliying a quick smooth line.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brown Eyes: Black
I love this eyeliner. I've been using it for more than 5 years and I must have gone through like 10 of them. It's very easy to draw, and it doesn't smudge, but easy to take off with eye make up remover. I believe it is waterproof because it doesn't run at all even when i cry during the movies. haha. I came out with the eye line still perfect. How cool is that. There's no special colors. I got it in black. The price is soo expensive but lasts a long time and it's worth it. I love it so much that i wouldn't even try using another eye liner.
