I'm sorry but this pigment sucks. It is so hard to blend and the color is weird. I am happy I got this as a sample in a swap.

I'm honestly surprised to see any negative reviews of MAC Rich Purple pigment! This color is stunning, and I can see this looking great on a variety of eye colors and skintones. I'm an MMM/NC40 for reference, and on my brown eyes this looks amazing! Rich purple is more of a dirty plummy eggplant shade, and while it is a matte pigment which isn't their best formula, this one just works better than most of the mattes. It applies smoothly (I find it works better if I push it into the brush) and goes on with amazing pigmenation and blends incredibly well. I love this paired with golds, even pretty with peach shades (MAC jest comes to mind) and equally gorgeous with soft pinks. One of the pigments I reach for more than the rest in my stash!

The color name rich purple isn't really correct. It's hard to describe the color. Its not quite purple, it does look like burnt burgundy. I hoped it would be a really purple color. Also the color didn't stay on very long and was really hard to blend.

I'm surprised at the lack of reviews and the negative reviews, because this color is amazing. It is a deep purple/plum color and looks amazing on my warm medium/dark skintone (more medium than dark). I usually wear NC30 in MAC, but am kind of NC35 or higher with my current tan. Anyhow, this color went on deep and rich and gives the most perfect base for a smokey purple eye look. It is a matte, so if you don't like mattes, then you won't like this pigment. But any fashionista that knows how to work with matte make-up will love this pigment!!

::edit:: I just wanted to add that I love this color the more I use it. I did a purple smokey eye yesterday and it added a richness to the crease and kept the smokey eye from being too boring!

Ok so got this my goodies I ordered from the MAC Pro Store (they tracked down so much stuff for me it pays to be nice to the MA's!). I am so unhappy with this as the texture sucks and it is clumpy. Also, looks just like Fig 1.

Gorgeous deep purple! More of an eggplant shade and is matte. Looks great as a crease color or as a liner. Not sure if it is discontinued.
