So far, this is the best mousse I have ever used. It holds really well on my super curly fine hair. After it dries, it will be crunchy so I scrunch out the crunch and it looks soft and moves freely.
Do NOT add water to your hair after using it. Once it's dry and you have your look, leave it alone and don't try to add more product or water on top of it otherwise it'll just frizz out.
There is no "second day" hold though. And it takes a while for my hair to dry before it's scrunch-ready so I do not consider this a style-and-go product. I always have to wait for it to set, the hair to dry, and then the scrunch for my hair to look decent.

Very lightweight, left my hair so incredibly soft and smooth, smells really great
It's probably just because my hair is so thick and heavy, but it didn't hold the scrunch very well. Maybe I just need to use a stronger holding product. It looked great when I left the house, but by the end of the day it was basically straight with a little bit of wave. Still so soft though and not crunchy at all!
I will probably continue to use this when I want my hair to be kind of relaxed - not straight but not completely scrunched either, just a relaxed wave!

My go to mousse! I love this mousse, it smells amazing and makes my curls look good, not great though. Still, it is cheap and I don't want to be disappointed by another product so I'll stick with this. Try it, you will probably love it.

FINALLY an easy way to get my hair to look curly and shiny.
I have naturally confused hair. Sometimes it's wavy, sometimes it's straight. But i have a hard time getting the bouncy curls that I want. Of course a good curling wand helps but that just takes too much time.
I shower (or wet my hair), towel dry it a tad, and then scrunch this stuff into it. I've tried other mousses that claim to do what this mousse will but never had much luck before. Either the mousses (and some of them were EXPENSIVE) would make my hair hard and crunchy or it wouldn't do anything to curl my hair. But this stuff is soooo light and works into the hair like a dream.
After I scrunch it in, I then blowdry my hair on a medium setting with a diffuser. For the longest time i was skeptical about using a diffuser because I have long hair and it seemed like it would take forever to dry my hair that way. But i finally gave in and got one when my stylist told me i should.
First of all, it somehow magically dries my hair faster, and second of all, it leaves me with incredible bouncy, soft, shiny curls. And lastly it gives me volume I have never been able to achieve before. The combo of the mousse and the diffuser is a dream. And it is so easy that even I can do it and i am normally a retard when it comes to my hair.
I highly recommend this mousse. It feels so light, works so well, and smells so good. Plus even without a diffuser, it still does nice things for my hair, gives me nice beachy waves!

I have really curly hair, so I have spent probably 2 or 3 years searching for products that make it look nice. This is definitely one of my favorites! I use it on a daily basis, and it makes my curls not look frizzy and unruly. If you're looking for something that makes your hair soft, this product isn't it, but it's perfect for scrunching! I just shower, wait about 10 minutes to air dry my hair a lil, scrunch a few handfuls into my hair and walk out the door. BONUS: It's really cheap! $3 at Wal-Mart! :)

Pros: wonderful smell, cheap, bottle delivers the mousse efficiently and is attractive
Cons: doesn't do what it's supposed to do, did nothing to my hair except that it became stiff without curling even with the scrunching

the only reason this awesome stuff gets a four is because of the smell. i think it smells pretty funky (as in, not so good!), and a few of my friends said they couldn't stand it. however, if you don't mind the smell, the product is great. when i want beachy curls without the beach, i dry and straighten my hair and bangs, and then use two handfuls for each side of my head. i use it on the bottom half of my hair and leave my bangs straight and tease the top a bit - super cute look. it also works super well for scrunching if you use a lot of it. overall, really good mousse for a great price!

This mousse gives me the exact results I want...curly, soft, and just really really nice. It even makes it smell good. I think some of the result depends on what type of hair you have because I have had friends try it and do exactly what I did and have it not work at all. If you have naturally stick straight hair, it isnt going to work. My hair is thick and wavy and all I do is shower and scrunch it in my hands and it makes my hair extremely curly and bouncy. I love it!

I love the smell but other than that it sucks. I bought this hoping it would give my hair extra waves, but my hair just stayed the same texture. It didn't really give my hair any volume either. It's pretty cheap so I guess I'm not too annoyed that I wasted money on this.

This mousse sucks. It basically evaporates in your head before you can even spread it on your hair..it has no substance or creamy foamy quality its just like air disguised in white foam. You have to use so much of it to even get it through your hair.
It hardly has any hold and I use it for scrunching and to give my hair some body, and hold my waves and it doesnt work at all. It also is just kinda sticky, doesn't add any shine or softness, which a good mousse does.
I had more luck with Dove original mousse actually, which gave my hair so much body and softness.

This made my hair SOOOO hard that I had to wash it out immediately after applying it. I tried to scrunch the hardness out to no avail, and I swear I lost a small chunk of hair- most likely due to it trying to escape the suffocating environment I had made for it.
The only good thing that I can say about it is that it smells absolutely delicious and I wish that I could use it because I would love to smell it all day long. What a shame.

I have naturally curly hair that I do not straighten or blow dry. I figure if I am damaging it with color I will give it a break on the heat styling. I use this mouse on my damp hair after I shampoo and condition then I let it air dry. The mousse defines the curls, curbs the frizz, and de-poufs. Since I only pay $2 for it I spend the rest of my hair care funds on good shampoo and conditioner.
Edit: I see why others have had some crunchy hair. I used too much one day and had this experience myself. I still like the mousse when I apply it lightly, but it has to be rinsed out if applied too heavily! I lowered my score for it due to this. I have used cheap Suave and had no crunchiness even with heavy application. I don't think moussing should have to be an exact science.

Like many, I used to straighten my hair until the damage due to heat got really bad. So on my search to find products to make my curly hair managable, I found this 3 dollar product. IT IS AMAZING. I wet my hair in the morning, apply it, then blow dry it with the suggested finger styler defuser. Bye bye frizz and hello beautiful curls! I am constantly getting compliments on my hair.
My hair is naturally wavy, and this product adds curls and volumn. I will use this mousse forever.
It also smells amazing. Just thought I'd add that(:

It's a good value for under $2 that really gives some volume and manageability to the hair. Might not work for everyone of course.

I have naturally frizzy/wavy hair. For years i straightened my hair because it was impossible for my to de-frizz and somehow manage my all over the place waves. I bought this product not expecting it to work, as ive tried so many other products of the same type. Let me say, this mousse works amazing. It somehow de-frizzed my hair, left it smooth and bouncy, but the greatest thing about it is that it gave me lovely waves. When i get out of the shower i brush my hair, apply the mousse, and then let it dry. The only downside is that it does take a little while to dry, and in the process your hair crunches up a bit, but once completely dry, it is amazingly soft and bouncy. Ive been through 3 bottles of this stuff and I must say, it is wonderful to not have to straighten my hair everyday!

it was an okay product for the price i guess, i only paid three dollars for mine. but...i have really curly hair in the front and wavy in the back, so i look for a product that evens it all out. it is also very frizzy and since i live in texas that doesnt help much. this mousse makes my hair actually frizzier, if possible. also my hair is very crunchy after using it. the only good thing about this mousse is the yummy smell and purple packaging ;)

I really disliked this mousse. It defined my curls no better or worse than any other cheap mousse, but it made my hair hard and crunchy. My curls were so hard they looked wet. My hair hasn't looked this shellacked since I first tried dippity do at the age of 12. All the scrunching in the world wouldn't get my hair touchably soft. The only thing that would soften my hair was brushing it, and that would wreck my curls and ruin the whole point of using the mousse. I disliked the looked enough to rinse my hair in the sink while at work.
I tried again, thinking I must have used too much product the first time. I used a tiny quarter sized amount and got slightly better results. My hair was a bit less crunchy, but also less defined. It was 'better' in that it was closer to what my hair looks like without any product than what it looked like when shellacked into hard, wet looking curls. I don't know what I'll do with the rest of the bottle, because I'm sure never using this again.
It does smell nice, though. I'll give it that.
