There is two versions of hot pink. One that is light pink with sparkles with a super gritty texture ( based on the tester in the store ) and a second one which is actually hot pink with a semi matte finish and a silky smooth finish.
I own hot pink with a matte finish, the batch when they were still made in S.Korea and not the new batch made in China ( p.r.o.c. ). I really love this eye shadow, it has a smooth texture, blends super easily and its very well pigmented. I bough it to replace mac sushi flower. Next to sushi flower, its less pigmented and less flashy, but I think I prefer hot pink over sushi flower for these reasons.
Hot pinks looks great on the creased paired with a lighter pink or neutral color.
I give this color 4 lippies instead of 5 for 2 reasons. The new batch made in China is less pigmented and has a super gritty texture ( based on the store tester ) and this product has 2 different colors with the same name which makes people super confused.

Not "hot" pink but a nice shade of pink. Looks nice as an outer lid colour when you put a lighter pink on the inner lid. It blends nicely like all NYX shadows. There are some prettier pinks out there but this one is pretty good, especially for a drugstore colour.

It is a vibrant true pink, but not necessarly "hot" pink, with a slight sparkle. It goes on smooth and evenly. I love NYX shadows.

Not the best pink product out there, matter of fact very unpigmented. Base or not. I don't get why its even called hot pink, it should be called soft pink or something along those lines. I prefer (ds) elfs quad in punky. Now thats a hot pink and Bright! Will never get again. Pass.

I adore this color! It's such a bright and vibrant pink.. .it's unreal. Goes really well with their pink jumbo pencil as a base.

I find it odd reading these other reviews and hearing people say its not pigmented because on me it just takes one swipe and its the same color on my skin as in the pan. I am really fair so that might be why and I've also heard that NYX shadows in palettes are not always as good as their single counterparts. But I seriously love this shadow. It is very bright so you have to be careful how you apply it, but that's true of any pink. It looks like a satin almost matte finish. Because its such an uncommon color I don't forsee myself running out but in the event I do I will totally repurchase.
Edit: I figured it out. I went to the store today and was searching throough the nyx stuff, they have 2 eyeshadows called hot pink(#96 is not hot pink at all but super pale, #59 is crazy pigmented and the one I have) hence the mixed reviews. Stupid why would would a company name two different shadows the same name?

at first, i was very disappointed. the shade of pink really brought out the redness in my eyes and made me look either sick or stoned. it is very sheer unless rally packed on and for a long while it just sat in my drawer occasionally being used for experimentation or artistic looks. i was very close to giving it to my friend when i tried it out with a few bases, and i love it with a brown base! the fact that it is sheer creates a beautiful brownish-pink colour that is not too dramatic but not too boring. i find myself reaching for this shadow when i want a more pretty look, and not so much my more common dark dramatic looks. it's good for anyone who wants a sheer wash of pretty pink, but otherwise you can skip this shade. :)

In the pan: Bright cool pink with some tiny blue sparkles.
On the eye w/ primer: Barely there wash soft cool pink.
Well, I guess this is ideal for people who want a soft wash of pink. If I use this as a crease or outer v color, I need to put many layers on to see any color show up and then, I'm still meh about it. I'm not impressed with this NYX e/s the pigmentation is not great and the texture is a bit grainy. I will not be repurchasing this one.

I found this color to be not the sorta pink I personally like maybe for a very glammed up look with other shimmery shades it might work. I do think that its a little more chalky than another of the NYX shadows that I own. Some say they use it as a blush. Anyways i'll probably try to use it sometime somehow but wont repurchase.

If I had just gone by the name and the awful color swatch on the NYX website, I would never have bought this. But thanks to the wonders of internet searches, I found actual swatches of the product and found the color not THAT hot a pink. On my C3 skin, it looks more like a pink-peach or soft coral. Quite pretty actually, and makes my eyes look refreshed. Very good pigmentation and goes on smoothly - as is the case with three other NYX eyeshadows I've tried. This will be one of my go-to products if I want to do a look involving pink shadow.

This product was a disappointment. I got it because I was looking for a vibrant pink color. What I got was this chalky, dull, hard to use eyeshadow. Seriously this has got to be the worst NYX product in terms of pigment. When I gathered some of the shadow onto my make up brush most of it just flaked right off. When I applied the shadow to my lids it caked on rather than going on smoothly. On top of that it is already starting to crumble in the pan!
I have been forcing myself to use and try to work with it...usually this only results in frustration and more issues.
Either I have a messed up version of this shadow or it just majorly sucks.

This is nowhere near as bright as it looks in the pan but it's still a very pretty pink color. I like this a lot for making a pretty, wearable pink eye look. I used the light pink from the Maybelline Mad for Mauve quad all over lid, then this in the crease & outer 1/2. Used a teeny bit of the burgundy for the Maybelline quad so define outer V. Very pretty look

not sure whether I am reviewing the same product considering some people say this color is highly pigmented.
I have ES59 hot pink. dissapointed because the color doesn't show (at all!) on my dark skin no matter how much I packed the color onto my lids.
will not repuchase this color.

I got this in the triple eyeshadow palet alongside cherry and cool blue.
I absolutely love it. Since it's finally spring and so nice and sunny outside, I wanted some "Easter" egg colors. I always think of pinks blues greens and yellows for spring makeup. I got this at ulta during the bogo and i really love this pink. Its not really a hot pink but more of a true pink. When I think of pink I always assume it will be brighter than the baby pinks most lines carry. This wore all day, even in the humidity we already have here in florida. Barely any creasing at the end of an entire day out. I love love love this color and would def. recommend any of you guys to try it if you are thinking about picking it up.

Bought this for $3.99 at Longs Drugs. I've worn it twice. Very pigmented. Lovely shade of pink. I then went to ULTA for BOGO sale but the price there was $4.99 and the service sucked. I'd rather go to Longs Drugs with much better customer service. Hope they have a sale coming up soon. Not as good as Mac but good quality and good price.

This was my first NYX eyeshadow purchase because I was looking for a pink coloured eyeshadow from a drugstore. It was $6.99 CDN which isn't bad and you can probably get it on sale for $4.99.
In any case, I usually use Urban Decay eyeshadows so I need all my eyeshadows to have high pigmentation and great staying power. I heard NYX eyeshadows are pretty good quality for a ds brand and since I wasn't sure if a pink eyeshadow would look good on me, I didn't want to spend $20 CDN + at Sephora for one.
I used this shadow with UDPP and didn't have a problem with fading at all. I did layer the eyeshadow a bit since I wanted a stronger colour but it's not chalky at all like lots of other cheap ds shadow brands so that's a good sign. The colour isn't really flaterring on me but that's just my poor choice of colour - not the brand's fault. In any case, I love experimenting with bright colours in addition to neutrals so I don't regret this. NYX has many nice eyeshadow colours and I will definitely repurchase other NYX eyeshadow singles.

After reading the reviews...um, I'm not so sure there are 2 Hot Pinks. After double checking nyxcosmetics.com, I'm pretty sure. I think the confusion is we trust their description which does not accurately describe this e/s, imo. Anyways, on with the review:
#59. Nyx says this is matte. I think of matte as a dry kinda look. This is more of a satin finish. Not a true sparkle but definately a sheen of some kind is there. Reminds me of my beloved revlon shades (cuz I'm quite partial to satin finishes that are not in your face shine and glitter but not a dry look either.) Soft. Silky. Smooth. Easy application. Blends like a dream. Not truely what I would consider a hot pink, this seems darker than what I expected but fine none the less.
Very pretty.

I agree with the reviewer below me, this eyeshadow isn't really a hot pink. In the pan, it looks like a super bright hot pink, but on my eyelids it goes on a pretty medium pink color.
Like all nyx shadows, it's creamy and smooth in texture, goes on well, has great pigmentation, and blends like a dream. I didn't notice any creasing when I used this, and it's best to use a base with it :)
As far as I know, there are 2 NYX eyeshadows called hot pink (one matte and one shimmery.) This review + picture uploaded by me is the matte one, #59 :)

Very pretty pink. I wouldn't say HOT pink, but medium bright pink. Pretty neutral I think. I usually can't stand pink eye shadows because I'm warm toned, but this one works with my skin tone. This color is fun, and for some reason it makes me happy. Weird... It doesn't get 5 stars since it does fade fast if you don't have a base, and to get it bright I suggest a creamy base.. Also doubles as a subtle blush.

i love NYX eyeshadow in hot pink, bought it at value city and love it, NYX has 2 hot pink name shadows, i bought the one with a hot pink shade but when swipped it has some blue pigmented shimmer to it which makes it look hot, i love to use this as blending and the shadow stays on for hours, you must try it
