I really like this mascara, I apply the primer then curl my lashes. It seems to work a lot better for me this way. The only fault I can find is it is hard to wash off, for me.

I used to love this mascara but i think the US formulation is different than the europe one. the europe one was great. this one was really bad. smudges.....

Why, why, does L'Oreal test on animals?
I love this mascara. The few times I have been asked if I was wearing flasies were with this mascara. Super black, super plumping, super lengthening. I only said I would not repurchase because of L'Oreal's animal testing policies. I use this only when I can borrow my mama's. D:

The best lengthening mascara ever, it does a great job separating and lengthening. I use it after the Earth Therapeutics eyelash curler.

Good marks for the whole Carbon Black colouration in L'Oreal's line of mascaras. But that's about all I can say on the plus side.
This mascara however - extended absolutely NOTHING! There are much better mascaras in L'Oreal's lineup. This took forever to get on evenly and as for the flaking...
It did not perform in any of the ways a basic mascara should. This particular mascara is L'Oreal's "Wombat" - ie. a Waste Of Money, Brains and Time. Don't even bother. Even though it's inexpensive, money is money and I begrudge even the modest amount I paid for this useless mascara.

I picked up a tube of this mascara at the drugstore one day because I wasn't in the mood to go to Sephora and drop a lot of money on something new that might or might not work. I like this product! I think the shape of the primer brush is excellent for applying the product in one swoop, and while the mascara doesn't knock my socks off, it stays on well but isn't murder on the lashes to remove. I would classify it as an everyday mascara, because I don't find it creates really dramatic effects, but it's very effective and you don't have to worry about it ending up under your eyes. That alone makes it well worth the price!

This is just okay. I love mascara with primers, but this one seemed very dry, both the primer and the mascara. It was so dry that I could only get one coat of each. It's terrible when you pay ten bucks for a mascara and it's dried out. I don't mind if they are too wet ~ I can always wait for them to dry.
The primer did provide my lashes with some length. Had it been a newer tube, I probably would have loved this. IMO, L'oreal's mascaras are too expensive. I will run this tube under hot water and see if I have better luck. I might try this again, if I catch this on sale...Still on my mascara search.

I use this on my short lashes for going out. Its does the job of making them dark and dramatic but not going over the top. They are still soft. Great nightime mascara!

Meh. I was not impressed with this product. I found it chunky and generally ineffective.
Back in the old days, before they started marketing double coat mascaras like this one, we used to dust powder on our lashes and mascara over that... frankly, the old technique works better than this product.

This is one of my favorite mascaras. I always received compliments whenever I wore this mascara. It elongates & defines my lashes beautifully. Recommend.

I have a lot of mascaras. I have tried a lot of mascaras. This one is in my top 5. It sits next to my Dior Extase which is three times the price of this one and I find myself reaching for this one. My packaging looks different, I think they revamped the new look. But if used right this will give you right out fake lashes. I use the white part first, and I let it dry a bit. Then I go over twice with the carbon end. Insane lashes.

Unfortunately, this mascara did not work very well for me. The formula felt very heavy and very wet, and took SO LONG to dry! I have to admit, though, that the color is SUPER black, which I LOVE. It doesn't keep curls in. I would try the waterproof to see if it's better, but I'm not sure if willing to waste my money. I think that it's the primer/step one that weighs my lashes down. I have tried the mascara without the primer, but the color isn't as black, and it doesn't give the same effect There is definite length and volume, but it makes your lashes look uncurled, which is never good. I do use it on occasion, though, but it's definitely not my go-to mascara.

I used to really love this mascara. I have short Asian lashes. The white base really lengthened my lashes, while the black mascara really volumized it. It was almost HG, except for the smudging. I live in a tropical country, but I am always inside airconditioned rooms but it still smudges. I wouldn't buy it again because I'm still searching for my HG mascara. I got a sample of the Lancome Hypnose and it thickens, holds a curl and almost doesn't smudge.

What a bother. Was sucked in by the TV add which illustrates gorgeous long full lashes. Shoulda known better. The first time I put it on, I was rather impressed. It did seem to extend and thicken my lashes. But that was only the first time. Since then, it seems like the product becomes thicker and drier with every use and now when I put it on its just a big old mess. Spikey spider city. For a cheap drugstore mascara Mabeline XXL is way better and cost alot less. About half the price. Wont be buying this again.

This is ABSOLUTE FAV!!! I am addicted and will buy this mascara forever! I have used evrything EVEN DiorSHow mascara and this is still my far THE winner. i LOVE mascara and put on many coats even with the carbon black. It does NOT clump and make my lashes longer, more dramatic, and absolutely beautiful! I panicked when I thought they were discontinuing this with the tubes stuff. YUCK- I could not layer that and thought my lashes were falling out when I washed it off. I will never go THERE again! THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I love this product I am using my 2nd one now. It stays on forever in waterproof and it gives both lots of VOLUME and LENGTH. Great for dramatic eyes!! but sometimes can be slightly clump but no worries just wipe it off and then its perfect.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Oily, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Brown
I really like this mascara! It gives that dramatic look, great black color, some volume... It stays long enough, and it is easily removed with cleansing milk. I will definitively buy this one again.

Overall, I like L'oreal mascaras in general. Everytime there's a buy one get one free - I stock up on L'oreal.
This particular mascara is pretty good. I apply the primer and then the mascara - it works well.
The only thing - you should put the primer on the lashes from the middle out to the edge. If you go from the lash base - there may be places that will show the white primer. Good buy

I like this mascara, I find for my fine lashes primers work well for me. The packaging is a little clumpy but the two sides are fairly easy to use. The colour is a good deep black and my lashes don't feel too hard. I am always on the search for the perfect mascara, I did love Telescopic then suddenly it stopped working as well. I like the way that even though this is a lengthening mascara, there is still some volume. Some other lengthening ones just give me thin spidery lashes, this gives a fair amount of volume and black pigment. I think I will try the beauty tubes one next to see how that compares.

great mascara just a lil bit to expencive, but you pay for what you get and its defintly worth it, no panda eyes , no clumps and makes ya lashes huge, but u must let the white dry before u apply the black.
love it loreal
