What, only a dollar? This lip gloss is a sheer deep magenta shade and gives my pale lips just enough color to make it look natural. It's easy to apply and I love to wear it on my everyday look! It feels slightly sticky, but nothing I can't handle. I would purchase it again!

There is some glitter in this despite what some say so just be aware but it isn't big chunky glitter and isn't easy to see on on the lips. This gives your lips a nice reddish tint and isn't sticky and lasts quite a while.

Good pigmentation, nice glossy consistency (without shimmer or glitter) and the brush makes it easy to apply. I can't stand the scent though (although it is more bearable with this shade than the others) and you get very little product.

I uploaded a picture of this gloss. I wish I could caption it, because I included other colors. But if you see the picture above, it is the swatch ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. It looks very bright on my hand, but it is actually a VERY SHEER RED on the lips. It goes very beautifully over a red lip for nights out. I love the texture of E.l.f. glosses. You could never tell that it was only a dollar!

I already wrote a review for all of the glosses on the appropriate page (gave 'em a 4 out of 5), but I figured I'd review this color separately.
This one is nicely pigmented, but it's not as red as I'd like for it to be on my bare lips. It's a gorgeous finishing touch to top off any red lipstick, if you're looking for something with lots of sheen to it.

I just picked this up the other day and wore it for the first time yesterday. In short, I really like it. It's a very sheer red that is very natural looking. The shine is decent, but it's not HYPER. It lasts fairly long. For a buck, I'd buy again, no question.

The color of this lipgloss is nice- very red. The color payoff isn't bad and can be opaque enough that you get your $1's worth of the color. The packaging is normal, nothing outstanding. What I don't like is that it tastes and smells like really cheap overly sugary candy. If you're 10 you would probably like it. Or if you like that type of candy. I am in neither of the 2 categories. ELF describes it as a grape vanilla or something to that effect and I don't like it. For that reason I won't use it. I wouldn't repurchase because of the issues of taste and smell and for me, since its on my lips that's an issue. Otherwise it isn't a total waste of a $1. :/

I actually bought this product a couple of years ago and forgot all about it until recently when I tried it on again. I was pretty impressed with how this product looked on my lips! It gave me a high-gloss shine with a smidgen of pinkish-red color. It made my lips looks fresh, sexy, and oh-so glossy. For only $1, this is a great gloss! I don't know how the other Hypershine Glosses look but this one was absolutely perfect on my lips. I think this product can actually be worn by itself; over lipstick, it looks a bit too bright. I think Vixen is a fitting name for such a nice, sexy gloss.
I wasn't crazy about the packaging and this lip gloss tends to wear off somewhat quickly, so 4 stars for that.

I LOVE this gloss!!! THis is the good ol standby gloss that I use when I run out of my Betty Buxom... for one dollar you cant beat the beautiful color it gives. I am tan and I like the just bitten look so I layer this on a bit and my lips stand out :) WHat I really like is that it lasts a long time on the lips.. I can have it on for a couple of hours and it still looks great.
WIll keep buying!!!

Really like the color. The smell is ok. Not to happy about the whole brush applicator You have to click it alot of times to get a descent amount of product out. Feels nice on the lips once you get past the thickness of it. Can't beat $1!

I actually really like this gloss despite my hatred for most lip products. The packaging is a little annoying but the colour of this is beautiful and it doesn't feel sticky on my lips. Plus you really can't beat the price!

ok, lets begin. first of all, i got this product a couple of months ago but never got the chance to write a reveiw on it. so ok. i bought it at cvs in the pack of 3 which came with Vixen, Flirt (my favorite one), and VaVa Voom. so Vixen is a really pretty cranberry reddish pinkish color in the tube but on ur lips it gives a light dramatic look with cranberry but it still manages to look very natural. the packaging is ok, i ussualy use this in the winter cuz they r super moisturizing, i put it on bfore i go outside and u know, play in the snow or take a walk and when i come back, ussualy 2-5 hours, the lipgloss is still moisterizing and it looks fresh!! its an AMAZING product for just 1 dollor and i would obviousley buy this again!

This is the only Hypershine gloss I have tried, and I am very satisfied. The applicator is annoying, but it's far better than a messy pot with finger application. The color is a sheer red tint, noticeable but natural on my moderately pigmented lips. I like the formula too--there isn't much in the pen, but it's applies thin and sticky, not tacky, but not slippery and "glossy". Lasting power is good, which I attribute to the light stickiness. For $1, the piddly amount of gloss in the pen is acceptable.

On my search for a healthy feeling lip gloss and a nice plumper, I kept meaning to try E.L.F.'s products for a long time but kept forgetting. Until I walked by an amazing display of gift sets at Target earlier today. I picked up a 3 pack of these and one of the plumping glazes. The first thing I did was try Vixen... I was FLOORED.
I have no idea what the heck happened but this stuff seriously plumped my lips. I had some Blistex Lip Massage on first and I dunno if the 2 just reacted with each other or what but man my lips were gorgeous. They even tingled (in a non-painful or burning way... it actually felt like Lip Fusion) and I had to check the box 5 times to make sure it didn't say anything about Lip Plumping because I was so freakin shocked. Especially since I am obsessed with lip plumpers and it is nearly impossible to find one that works and here was one of the best ones I've ever had... and for a dollar. The color was stunning, my lips were soft and plump, and it didn't feel too gooey or sticky. I mean am I missing something here? How does it not say Lip Plumper anywhere on the package? Or maybe it's just my lips that reacted to it or like I said maybe the Blistex helped. I have no idea. All I know is... I went back to K-Mart a few hours later and bought 3 more because my experience was so awesome. This gloss even worked way better than their actual labled Lip Plumper.
I only gave the packaging quality a 2 though. While it is light and therefore easy to carry in a purse, it is a pain in the butt to sit there and twist a billion times to get the stuff out. Normally I would also complain that there's not much product there (which you can tell by looking since the container is clear), but since it's so darn cheap I can buy 20 of these things at a buck a piece and have a billion times more product than I would for one 20 dollar lip plumper.
I am in love. E.L.F. has captured my heart.

I was excited to try this but I got disapointment.I love the color, its a sheer red, and with 4 coats its perfect, thats why it got 3 lippies, but i slightly dislike the packaging, because Its time consuming, but I love the brush applicator, its so much easier, but I hate the formula. It's a "jelly" formula, and instead of being creamy like the super glossy lipshines, its sticky and jelly like. I wont buy again but Ill save it for my Alice Cullen look.
P.S. I dont smell a overbearing smell, I actually like it, and Im thinking about buying other colors.

I have a few of these. Blossom is a nice barely noticable sheer pink color, like YLBB. Sugar plum is a sheer purple. Flirt is basically sheer. Vixen is a pretty sheer red, and has the most pigmentation of the bunch but it takes a bit of gloss to notice the color.
PROS: Feels moisturizing and plumping. Subtle shine (YLBB). Sweet unoffensive taste. A little sticky but that seems to help it last longer on my lips.
CONS: Smell is okay (All of them smell like a strongly plasticky pina colada except Vixen, which has a less offensive and slightly fake cherry smell)--it didn't bother me much at first but now I'm liking it less and less. Not super shiny (which is the claim!). The applicator which is kind of annoying in general (not specifically a problem with ELF's applicator b/c I'm not crazy about Stila's click-pens either).
The product is worth $1, but it's just not the right product for me and I'll probably end up chucking a few in the trash b/c of the scent, although I will probably save Vixen. Overall, don't think I'll buy this product again--I prefer ELF's Candy Shop glosses, or Bonne Bell.

This color looks bright pink-red in the tube but goes on without much color. It has no shimmer but is very shiny. (see picture above)

For a cheapie gloss this is such a bargain. It is a sheer cool toned pink with a touch of red, a little like Juicy tubes Fraise but without the glitter.
It wears okay and the packaging is click pen style so it is not too bad.
Overall a very pretty, extremely glossy formula, that is amazing for the price.

I LOVE this
It is a very pretty sheer rose/ pink color that doesn't overpower my face. It is super shiny as well, without looking costume-y.
It smells good as well, and doesnt slide around my face after I put it on.
I do have to apply it more often then I do other lip glosses, but that doesn't bother me, b/c it does last longer then some lip glosses and looks very nice while it is on
