My eye definer includes a smudge brush but I am disappointed with this. It smudges very easily and I do mean very easily and does not glide on well at all. For an eye liner newbie, I do not recommend this at all and am still on the hunt for an easy to use eye liner for myself.

This eyeliner is great.I have one in burnished amber. I use it everyday for work because its very subtle and perfect for office. Its simple and glides on smoothly. It makes me feel glamorous yet not too bold.

This is my everyday go-to eyeliner. I got this as a free gift with one of my Body Shop purchases, and I love it. I understand that for some people who want an intense look, this isn't the best. But for people such as myself, who are after a soft, natural look, this is AWESOME. I pop this into the corner of my eyes, and people don't even notice that I'm wearing anything, but they DO notice how big and defined my eyes look.
I'm glad I got this as a free gift, because I wouldn't have found it otherwise :)

I hate this eyeliner! I used it once and got quite disappointed. I have never got a eyeliner smudged as fast as this one! It's incredible! I don't understand the positive reviews of it but I would ONLY recommend it when you want to do very smoky eyes like Taylor Momsen. ^.^

I bought the white one and the idea was to use it in the waterline. Worst eyeliner ever. It hurts my eyes when I apply it.
Maybe it's the worst idea from me, but now I am using it to highlight under my eyebrows (usually I make white eye-shadow), and comes actually great with great blending - using my fingers.
I love The Body Shop products, but this is awful.

Yeah, I'm pretty irritated with this thing.
The smudger tip is hard, the pencil is waxy and doesn't deposit any depth of pigment, and when you try to smudge it you are basically wiping it off (even when you use your finger), and then you're playing the game of reapplying and "smudging" and reapplying over and over again. And it really does like to travel throughout the day to other parts of my eye area...
I do rather like Body Shop products, which explains why I tried to give it a shot, and now can't return it. I may still try. Because it straight-up sucks. Even the caps don't like to stay on.
Bought the eyeliner from Aveda to replace it. VERY PLEASED.

This is just crap. I got black and white pencil a year and half ago. Fist I liked it but I realized this eyeliner is terrible.Hard to use, because it won't came out. Especially white one you cannot draw your line.

I have this eye definer in vibrant emerald. Compared to the eye definers without a metallic finish, this has a much creamier consistency. The typical black or white eye definer is stiffer and needs to be warmed up on the hand before applying. However the vibrant emerald is easy to apply and doesn't tug on my eyes. I usually only apply it on my lower lash line for a pop of color. I wear this eye definer without a base or primer and the color lasts all day until I remove it at night.

I have to agree with many other reviews on this product. It deposits very little color and fades quite quickly. I also find it difficult to apply because it does not glide on smooth so it tugs at my skin and feels kind of harsh. The color I got was white; I figured I could use it as a brightener. I can't stand to throw products away so now I use it as an inner corner highlight when I actually do use it.

I bought this in black, and got the one that has a smudger. The smudger was bad, but the eyeliner was worse. I had to really rub the get the colour, and it didnt last, I constantly had to reaaply. I much prefer my kohl pencils because they always work, and only some eyeliners do. I will definitely give this a miss.

I have this in black.
I really don't get why it gets so much negative reviews!!
This products is just awesome! It does what it says and doesn't smudge, stays all day until you take it off, and is easy to work with. Even though it's not waterproof, when it rains it does stay on well (except heavy rain).
I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for an intense black eye pencil.
Good to know: according to the website cosmeticsdatabase it isn't very hazardous, since it get's a score of 2 out of 9. (the lower the score, the less hazardous it is).

I bought this in Slate, hoping that it would work when I wanted to create a lighter smokey eye. It's been sitting on my vanity for a very long time and probably because of it's poor staying power.
I have discovered a new use for it since then. On days I feel that I need to look a little more put together I lightly brush it to define my eyebrows. I'm Asian and have dark brown hair so this works perfectly.

I bought this in Brilliant Blue. I was hoping it would work on my waterline, but it doesn't show up very well there and does not have good staying power either. When I used this liner on my eyelid, I found it to be very crumbly.

This eye definer in Taupe was included in my major haul at TBS because I wanted a brown eyeliner in my small eyeliner collection. It runs fairly smooth but smudges for my throughout half the day. I personally wasn't expecting miracles but it was a nice taupe-brown in-between for me. I can live without it.

I got two of these, Olive (green) and Amethyst (violet) when they were on 50 % sale. It was waste of money, since these, at least shades I got, do not deposit enough color, and the staying power is horrible. They smudge as I line and totaly wear off in max. 2 hrs. I put some eye shadow in similar color on top of it to make it stay, but then the color turns in to something else. So no luck with these. I will give them to my teenage cousin. Shame though for The Body Shop usually makes pretty decent make up products.

Let me just start off by saying that this is my HG black eyeliner!
I really don't understand how people here on MUA can dislike it so much, I think it's pretty much perfect. It's very well pigmented, creamy and incredibly easy to apply, it doesn't smudge and it lasts for ages. Literally. I've used mine almost every single day since I bought it 3 years ago, and I still have a little more than half of it left. If I, for some reason, want extra staying power I just apply some translucent powder on top of it and it works a treat! I seldom do that though because it never goes anywhere or smudges even if I don't. It stays put all day, jet black and lovely. Love it!
Will definitely repurchase when I run out.

I have this in Taupe. I was especially looking for a taupe pencil, and this one had a nice colour. It is indeed very flattering when applied, if you are fair with blue eyes like me it's a great alternative to deep brown/black. I don't have any particular complaint about the consistency, it doesn't crease or get too soft on me, but it's nothing special either.
The main downfall is that is has ridiculous staying power: I would say 2 to 3 hours in normal conditions.
I won't repurchase, and probably buy MAC taupe eye pencil instead.

This is the second eyeliner I've gotten, bought it in slate and I've been using it quite frequently.
Pro: It's quite creamy, which I like using it on my waterline. The colour also stays on til the end of the day, but it smudges.
Con: I highly recommend not using this on your eyelids, especially when they are oily like mine. I use it on my waterline and it still smudges really easily leaving me with raccoon eyes by the end of a couple of hours. My biggest peeve about this product was when it came to sharpening it, I lost 1/4 of this pencil when sharpening it since the pencil is pretty creamy, therefore, the tip was never sharp and comes off easily.
Conclusion: I won't buy this eyeliner again, and for this price, not worth it.

The only good things about this pencil is the colour itself and that once on it is a gorgeous one. I got it in a taupe colour that balances between grey and brown just beautifully which makes it the perfect everyday or natural look shade. With a primer underneath, once you have managed to apply it, it stays the whole day. Another plus is the packaging. It is a beautiful pencil to have in a glass.
The problem is that here the good things stops. In the store, it swatches a bit dry but still pigmented. Now, I thought it was because the pencil had been laying without a cap and that a new one would be much better. Wrong. It is very, very, very hard to apply because it is rather dry though not hard by any means. Warming it does not help much. I have to use a sketch motion when applying this, going over the area over and over to get a good result. This now, does not disturb me that much. I could live with it, because the result is, as said, beautiful and very natural looking. However, I bought this just two days ago and have already sharpened away a fair share of the length of the pencil. The reason is that it is impossible to sharpen it to a fine point (which I prefer working with, because I like my lines thin). The pencil tip keeps breaking off when sharpening beyond dull. This is why this otherwise beautiful colour gets a three from me: it is hard to work with, and really expensive considering how much is wasted just on trying to get a tip you can work with.
