This nail polish is awesome! It's more on the runny side, but thats what I like because it's easier for me to apply. It dries pretty quickly too. I only had to apply 2 coats to get a really nice color. This nail polish is really great quality for the price.

I'd tried the NYC Quick-Dry polishes and was impressed with the smooth application and rich color, but wanted a different shade. I found Purple Pizzazz in Target at the lowest price I'd ever seen for a major brand, so I believed it was a great bargain. Wrong. The Quick-Dry polishes and the Long-Wearing Nail Enamels are of different formulations. Purple Pizzazz looked cheap, streaked, and just plain tacky; nothing like the other polish under the same brand. The color's hold is still under review as I've only worn it for a day.

My friend told me that she uses this line of nail polishes because the quality is decent to good at a dirt cheap price.
I picked out this color because I had too many reds and pinks, and I want to slowly branch out into other shades.
I had to put on a lot of coats, but the color turned out so beautifully. Under direct light, it looks more blue, but normally it looks like a deep purple.
It took a lot of coats, but I wasn't surprised. Once you build up to the color that you want though, I think this product really pleases.
It's been a week and it still looks like I just painted my nails! I can see it lasting for much longer, and I'll probably just let it run its course.
Definitely good value.

I like it alot. It's a great price and a GREAT color. I always use more then one coat. So if that is a problem for you. I don't know of any polish I use just 1 coat. But this is a great color for your hands or feet for the summer.

I purchased this mainly because it's dirt cheap..man was I dissapointed! I put this on the night I purchased it..took a shower and it already started peeling off! & this isn't my first time with NYC nail polish..i would use it a lot when i was a young teenage say around 12 or 13. Definitely go with Sinful Colors instead. It's only 2 dollars and it works way better than NYC

I love this color; it's a gorgeous reflective purple with some frostiness to it. I took off a lippie because it can be a wee bit sheer and needs 2-3 coats for in-the-bottle color, but I've worn it twice now and am over the moon for it! No issues with chipping, but I don't have chipping with most of my polishes because I use a good base and top coat. And at only 99 cents per bottle, what's not to love?!

I love this n/p...I use about 3 coats- it's lasting and goes on well! The color is really cool and pretty...a metallic purple but with the blue duochrome (when the light hits it you see the blue). Very unique, fun, and eye-catching! Great quality for such a great price!

I was on the hunt for an inexpensive purple polish when I found this color in Target. It was just what I was looking for, but I really expected the worst in terms of application. I was seriously pleasantly surprised to find that it only took 2 coats. I really love this color and would definitely purchase it again (it helps that it's only $1.25 lol). I love how it has a nice pearly iridescent finish to it--really nice, but not overdoing it.

I just recently tried nyc nail polish because it's only 99 cents. The color is still see-through (sheer as everyone else has been calling it) but there is no problem if you put another color under it (i know a hassle.) I used cover girl's magenta under which gives this purplish bluish nail polish a tad of red, very nice and metallic like :]

I love the color - but it is very thin and streaky so use at least 2 or 3 coats. I put the Scandalous Blue under it first - very unique looking.

love. i seem to be saying that a lot when it comes to NYC nail polishes.
like another reviewer said, a little sheer, but that isn't a problem after 4 coats or layered over black or another purple. it is definitely purple, but almost metallically so, with flashes of blue in sunlight. i've had no problems with the formula on these babies, and for a buck, they're perfect for someone who wants to experiment with ott colors. actually, they're perfect for anyone who likes nail polish =]

I guess it's a hit and miss for me with this NYC line. I dont really like this color on my nails. I feel like it's too sheer. After a couple of coats, I can still see my natural nail color! Maybe I just got a dupe, but it doesnt look like the one pictured above at all. I wish it did. It's a bit disappointing, but then again it's only a dollar so it's not a big waste.

Bought for 99 cents at a Rite Aid.
A nice, deep blue-based purple with some understated shimmer. I did not have applications problems- three thin coats or two thick coats gives you pretty much the color in the bottle.
As with all NYC nail polishes (indeed, all cheap nail polishes), get a great, chip-resistant top coat, and you won't have to worry about a thing!

Like the reviewer before me, this one streaked like no other polish I've ever seen. In the bottle, it's a gorgeous shimmery purple with hints of blue, and I had high hopes for it, but alas.
One coat looked awful. I'm not a nail tech, but I've been doing my nails for a while, and I found it impossible to get even coverage. Something in the formula was off with this one. Still, one coat isn't the measure of a polish. Unfortunately, where a second coat usually evens out the color and solves the streak problems of a first coat, that didn't happen here. A third coat didn't help, it still looked terrible. I did a fourth coat on one hand, and it didn't look good enough for me to bother finishing the other hand. I ended up just taking it all off and switching to another polish.
I've had NYC polishes before, and none of them did this. At first I thought that I'd just gotten a bad bottle, but since someone else had the same problem, it might be the color itself.

This is the first time I feel as though I have wasted $1 on a nail polish from NYC. :( This color, while really pretty in the bottle, streaks beyond belief. Yes, I expect a certain amount of streaking from a sheer polish (which you can see if you just open the bottle before buying), but the second coat should be an improvement over the first, it shouldn't make the first coat look worse...*sigh* But I really wanted the bottle color, so I applied a 3rd coat (usually I never need more than two coats), and still, this polish looked AWFUL. All streaks. I did not have the patience for a 4th coat.
One good thing, the formula somehow dries really fast, because I was applying normal coats of polish, and by the time I was done with my left hand, my right hand was completely dry, even with two coats of polish on.
But since this is so streaky, I cannot recommend it. :(

I LOVE this color. It actually comes out looking like the bottle. I use two coats. One coat gives you a sheer cute bluish purple, but two gives you bottle results.
It's amazing, and doesn't fade like similar colors (different brands) that I've tried.
With a top coat, it lasts for days.
It's my HG because it's so unique. My nails catch me off guard sometimes, when they're painted this color.
I <3 it.
EDIT!
You MUST use a color underneath this one, to make it work. I use a hot pink express dry Maybelline NP and, boom, solves the streak problem!
This polish simply can't be used alone. Just pick a color, any color, to use beneath if, and you'll be fine. Use 2 coats of Purple Pizzaz over the bottom NP though.

This a very cool purple color with a blue shimmer flash. It did take at least 3 coats to give a good cover. It was streaky with only two on me. You can't beat the price 99 cents.

133A Purple Pizzazz is a deep, yet bright, violet-purple shimmer. Slightly cool toned and not the best purple for my warm skin, but nonetheless this is a pretty purple that can be bought for a great price!

Great colour! It's a very vivid purple with blue shimmer and looks very unique. This is also a fairly good quality nail polish for such a low price, it lasts quite a few days on my super-strong fingernails without chipping. Sally Hansen, Lancome, Revlon, they all chipped after like 1 day, but not this dirt cheap stuff. New York Color also has a great colour selection so you can afford to buy a shade to match your every outfit. Good stuff:)
