Unfortunately this product has been discontinued, but it was a staple in my morning/evening face regiment.
This appears in bottle form now, which is fine.

I have generally good skin, not much pimples or anything but, like nearly evreryone, I have some blackheads on my nose and I noticed that I start to get some on my chin and my forehead as well. Very very tiny, barely to see but I really didn't want them to grow more visible so the last time I ordered stuff from Neutrogena, I stumbled across this product and thought, I should give it a try.
First, I really likd how big the pads are and that they are really FULL of product. One side of the pad is soft, other one has scratchy pearls on it, for a peeling effect. Liked that too.
Although I have dry and sometimes sensitve skin, the foaming pads didn't irritate my skin in any way (used them for about 1 1/2 week every night, rinsing my face with water afterswards and putting night cream on it) - so very pleased with that.
BUT the pads haven'T done anything good to my skin either. My skin hasn't changed in any way, neither good nor bad, blackheads are still there, not more than before but not less either. The usual occasional little pimples occured, so it doesn't prevent that too. Plus, I'm not very fond of the size of the pad anymore. I liked it in the beginning but now I have to add, that it is far too big....you really have to be careful not to get it in your eyes.
So for now I'll just finish my package of them but won't repurchase since they don't do nothing for my face.

I have to say i love this product! I use it twice a week (i also cut them in half- theyre quite large amd this way the pack last longer).
Its done my skin wonders (so far). My black heads are less (i had them on my nose and chin and i have used serevral products the no avail), my skin looks brighter. Yes, the product makes my skin tingle a little, but not in a bad way. I cant see my self using them everyday though, i think theyll be too abrasive.

i dont like the package, but that is ok. the exfoliating side can be a little rough, but helps to get the flakes off my face from using the retinA acne cream. The foamy side feels good on my skin, i have noticed an improvement with my skintone since using this product. i would recommend for oily/acne prone skin.

I have had large pores for as long as I can remember. While I have not had a problem with blackheads, the large pores on my nose have sometimes looked dark & shadowy compared to my fair skin color.
Anyway, these pads are absolutely working. The skin on my nose looks improved with fewer large dark pores. I have been using the pads once a day in the shower, laying off every now and then if my skin seems a little dry in spots.

these are good for travelling because they won't leak so to me that i quite a noticeable advantage :) now onto the actual product, despite other reviews, i quite liked it. they didnt make my skin peel although it did make it tingle at first. it didnt completely eliminate my blackheads but it did make them a lot less noticeable and it definitely helps with them under the skin spots! i wuld repurchase because they're cheap and effective, but i would also only use it 2-3 times a week or when my face is really breaking out. when i'm not using this, i use philosophy microdelivery exfoliating wash :)

These are horrible! Reading the nice reviews, I would think they would work! I have extremely oily skin with blackheads, and I was hoping this would remove them. WRONG! It didn't. Not only that, my skin texture is completely different now. Its all weird and feels like sandpaper. When I put on foundation, it looks cakey because of how my skin is. I used one pad 4 days ago and my skin isn't any better. I'm so mad! Now I'll probably have to go to the dermatologist. This product was so not worth it. Don't buy! They are HORRIBLE! I hope my skin goes back to normal...:(

My sensitive skin started to develop blackheads and it was starting to disturb me so I tried these on a whim. LOVE THEM! I've seen a big improvment in my blackheads and it seems to take make-up off very well. After a few weeks I found the abrasvie side too much so I cut back on using it. I do wish that they were package more like Aveeno's pads - in a jar.

I've been using these for a couple of years now. Love them. I keep them in a tub I got from a different product. Also I cut them in half so they last twice as long! :) I use one every day with my face wash (also Neutrogena usually) and just don't feel as clean when I don't use one. I love exfoliating. Will keep repurchasing.

This has to be the WORST skin product I have used over the years. I only used these pads for 3 nights-just once a day, and my face is so dry that the texture is actally "gritty". I mean my entire chin is peeling. I would never recommend this-not even for the oily of oilest skin types. If I coudl just say 1 good thing-it does smell good. I am going to use the rest of these to clean my bathroom. I wouldn't even give these away-I couldn't be that mean!

HG, but...are these being d/c'd??? Last time I tried to find them, I had such a hard time. When I did finally find them, they were on clearance at Target so I bought the last 2 they had, then I moved onto Wal-Mart where I grabbed the only ones they had left on the shelf. At any rate, I love these! Let me say that I first use Clinique's Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm to remove my Shiseido SS and all other traces of m/u, then I use the nubbier side of these to sorta "scrape" and exfoliate whatever other crap I may have lingering on my skin. They seem to do the best job of any other products I've tried. I hope I can still find them...=(

I love this product. These pads are easy to use and no mess. Great for travelling. Once the pads are wet and used on the face it foams up into a nice lather. The rough side exfoliates the skin, I find it really cleanses my pores, (sometimes with face washes I can still see makeup clogged in my pores but with this I can tell they are all clean,) then use the smooth side to cleanse residue. Because you use the pocket to put your fingers in, it means you have control on the areas and the pressure appllied to your face. These pads make my skin feel really clean and make my skin glow, I have combination skin and dont notice any dryness following use. Its too soon to say if they will eliminate blackheads altogether but they certainly do a great job of cleansing. Will update when have been using them longer.

I love these! They make my skin feel really clean and remove makeup really well, and they have helped with my blackheads. I would recommend these to people with oily skin, because if you have dry or sensitive skin, they will burn and be too much for you.

I was skeptical about buying this because in my mind I thought "how can a pad clean my pores?". I hate this product. It doesn't do anything but make your face red. I did it exactly how the directions state and nothing. I tried using them in the shower/bath because it opens your pores more and nothing. It dries out your skin like a mother and makes it dry.
I'm thankful I had my non-pore clogging lotion or I would have been miserable.
Not worth the $6.26.

I love these little pads for travelling, or for the occasional scrub at home. I've had my first package now for six months, and the last few pads in it are just as moist and fresh smelling as the first was when I originally opened the package in January. They are big enough to really cover your whole face, with a soft side and a rough side for exfoliating. They remove makeup well and I like the menthol-y tingle--while I expect that not everyone might. Not for every day...a bit pricey, but dandy for travelling! I will repurchase.

These are pre-moistened discs that have a smooth side and a scrubby side. They contain 0.5 % salicylic acid, and they are indicated for the treatment and prevention of blackheads and acne. I also understand that salicylic acid is an exfoliant and helps lessen fine lines and wrinkles. I had previously been using the Aveeno Positively Radiant cleansing pads, but when I went to repurchase the store was out of stock on them, so I purchased the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Foaming Pads instead. I have been using the Neutrogena pads every morning in the shower, on my face, neck and upper chest, for about 5 days now. I noticed today that my pores are exceptionaly small - much smaller than normal, practically non-existant. Which is really amazing because I have always struggled with large pores, and I have discovered certain products that help keep them relatively small (small for MY skin at least). But today I noticed that my pores are almost non-existant they are so small. The only thing I have changed in my routine is the addition of these Neutrogena Foaming Pads. I am very impressed! Yes, I will definitely purchase these pads again! The only thing I didn't like was the packaging of these pads. Unless I purchased a refill pack (not sure), I didn't like how these pads came in a plastic resealable pouch. The pouch is hard to open and reseal with wet hands in the shower. So I just removed the pads from the pouch and placed them in my empty Aveeno container. So that solved that problem. But other than the packaging, I love these pads! They are highly effective and I recommend them to anyone with acne, oily skin or large pores. :) _____ Just FYI for those people out there struggling with oily skin and large pores (like me) .... I have spent probably thousands of dollars on trying all sorts of different products for my skin. I have finally found a few products that, when used together, really improve my skin and make my pores cleaner and smaller. I will give the names of these products to you all so that maybe someone out there can save themselves a lot of time and money searching for the right products for their oily skin/large pores. ... I wash my face with Clinique Acne Solutions Foaming Face Wash in the morning, and Clinique Liquid Facial Soap for Oily Skin at night. Each morning in the shower I also use the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating 2 in 1 Foaming Pads (after the Clinique Acne Cleanser). Then, after cleansing my face, morning and night, I follow with Clinique Clarifying Toner # 2 (# 3 and # 4 are much too harsh - trust me). Then at NIGHT I use Olay Age-Defying Daily Renewal Cream with Beta-Hydroxy Complex all over my face and eye area. For DAYTIME I use Clinique Repairwear Eye Cream, and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (for days I am indoors). On days that I spend outdoors, when I need a daytime moisturizer with spf, I use either Neutrogena Visibly Even spf 15 moisturizer, or Rachel Perry Calendula-Cucumber Oil-Free spf 15 moisturizer, or Olay Protective Renewal Lotion spf 15. I like all 3 daytime spf moisturizers, and I just choose whichever one I am in the mood for that day. They all work well and do not clog my pores. ..... The three products that are must-haves and that I would never do without, are the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Foaming Pads (awesome exfoliating and pore-treatment!), the Olay Age-Defying Daily Renewal Cream with Beta-Hydroxy Complex (amazing stuff for pores and acne and fine lines! Total HG!), and Clinique Clarifying Toner # 2 (amazing toner that so deep cleans without stipping! Love it, love it! It makes such a huge difference in my skin!). Hope all of this long-winded info can help someone else out there to save their money and purchase effective products the FIRST TIME instead of spending thousands in the search! :) _______UPDATE_______ Just wanted to update to say that my husband has been using these in the shower also each morning, and he tells me that these Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Pads feel like they burn his skin when he uses them. He has only used them 3 or 4 times, and he says he is not using them anymore because they hurt/burn his skin. I am surprised at that, because I have been using these same pads everyday and they don't feel like anything on my skin. I don't feel any burning or stinging or tingling or anything at all from them. They just feel like plain soap and water on a pad to me. But it should be noted that although my husband has thicker skin on his face than me, his skin is also normal/slightly dry, while my skin is very, very oily. So the nearest I can figure, maybe my oily skin somehow acts as a buffer or protectant against the stinging of the salicylic acid, while my husband's normal/slightly dry skin lacks the oil to buffer the acid and so it causes his skin to feel stinging and burning. I don't know. That's my best guess. But anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that these Neautrogena Pads MAY CAUSE stinging/burning on some people. Personally, I love these pads and I plan on continuing to use them everyday because they have really cleared up my oily skin and help keep my usually clogged pores clean, tight and small. Anyway, that's all! Hope this helps!
