I am sooo disappointed. I found out today that this whole line is being discontinued. The store I went to today only had the perfume spray left. SO if you love this line stock up. The body butter is really nice. I love, love, love the smell and so does my fiance.

I like the scent in this a little bit better than the actual fragrance spray because it is a tad bit heavier, so the basil note I dislike isn't as apparent. Something in the cream smells spicier, maybe the tuberose. If you layer this cream with the fragrance spray, it really helps the scent last. The smell of the cream itself is very rich in the beginning, though it's never been overwhelming to me. It is a bit greasy in texture, but all "butters" I've used are like that. When I lived in LA, I only used it on my hands and feet at night. In Denver it's much more arid though, so I use it all over my body. I think I like it best as a foot cream, under socks.

WONDERFUL SCENT! But slightly greasy. May take awhile to dry...

Orginins is a favorite of mine. This new product by origins, Shedonism, is quite greasy but smells like a delightful tropical island. This is not something I would use daily but more for special occasions or when I want to pamper myself.

I purchased this when it first came out and was totally in love with it. Then it became cold and gray out and I completely forgot about it, until this morning.

This is the most hydrating and long lasting body butter I have ever used! I put this cream on in the morning and now, hours and hours later my arms and legs are baby soft!

AND THE SCENT, OMG. It is something that I can only use in the warmer months (or in anticipation of the warmer months!) because it is so tropical and beachy for me. It is scented with creamy lucious tiare flower and even notes of coconut. It is a bit heavy when you first put it on, so if you are sensitive to heavy smells, you might not like this.
Also, the scent lasts and lasts - which is so rare for a body cream! I love this stuff, I highly recommend it.

from the site: "No guilt here. This lush, deeply hydrating body cream transforms into a diaphanous veil of skin-silkening oil. Skin welcomes the lavish blend of Sweet Almond, cocooning Coconut oils, hydrating Shea Butter without hesitation. Suddenly, your whole body becomes a sublimely, softened silhouette. And the treasured aroma of Tahitian Tiare delicately dashed with evocative Jasmine, sweet Petitgrain Mandarin, sparkling Bergamot and Basil enlivens your senses."

Head over to origins and ask for a sample of the cream!

Ok, I have quite a few Origins body souffles, lotions, shower stuff, you name it. I have had Shedonism for awhile and I usually get tired of it because I'm not much of a floral girl. Anyway, I just dug this one out because I wanted to feel beachy and sunny in this gloomy, end of winter dullness. Well, it did it. I think I may be in love with it. It will never replace my Ginger or APW, but it sure will be my hg of florals. It has tiare flower along with other exotic florals and not only is there shea butter to rejuvenate my dry, wintery skin, but coconut oil as well. In fact, after a few hours, the floral scent fades to the smell of distant beaches in Hawaii and then a faint scent of coconut wafts in and out. What a nice scent to smell when you're locked indoors with your children looking out at the slush and gloom!

Comes in a nice tub like TBS body butters. Very hydrating and very nice jasminey scent. Scent lasts all day. This worked best for me on a hot summer day, sitting through football scrimmages. Instead of feeling dry and parched at the end of the day, my skin felt hydrated and toned and had a wonderful aroma like a tropical island!

Love the smell of this! It's flowery, like jasmine or magnolia. The scent is strong but not overpowering, and I'm usually turned off by things this strongly scented. It is very thick at first but then it settles into your skin quite nicely. I put this on last night and when I woke up, I still felt moisturized and could still smell the scent. I might buy this again - when I'm feeling rich, because it is rather pricey.

Hospital scented Crisco. It left my skin oily and gross and smelling like County General. Luckily, I just got this as a sample from Sephora so I have no guilt just chucking it.

Love this! My friend and I were walking by the Origins store and wondered what smelled so wonderful-the Origins associate brought us over to this. I had just purchased a body souffle at another store a second before, and really didn’t need this but I couldn't help myself! I bought it on the spot and I am so glad I did! The creamy, satiny texture is awesome- it's not too heavy like some butters/creams. It is a little oily when first applied but it does absorb rather quickly. The tropical floral scent which drew me to this in the first place is great- I get the primary smell of the Tahitian Tiare with hints of jasmine. If you want a scent that lingers all day, this will do it. Oddly, I layer this with Donna Karan Gold EDP and it seems to mesh really well (Gold gives a warm, floral dimension (lilies) to this- totally sexy together.) In December, I am completely out of season using this, but I just can't wait until summer!!

Got this yesterday-used it last night and this AM-I really like this body butter alot. Better that the ones from The Body Shop. Its not so hard to rub in. It soaks in quickly and the scent is very clean smelling. Not too strong on me, after several hours the scent is actually faint. I also use the shaving mousse, bath syrup and shimmer oil. Love them all!!!

Absolutely amazing! The first time I tried this product, I was not fond of the scent... The next time, I fell in love with it. Try this one more than once before buying, to see if you like it, as the scent is so unusual and fragrant. You will get many compliments on this one!

ugh all i smell is gardenia, jasmine - very very very strong flowers... it is overpowering and the smell stays a long long time... if you like that sort of thing this is for you. it was headache inducing and obnoxious to me. quite greasy too- but the smell is intense.

UPDATE: On my 3rd tub of this & can't live without it. Just leaves my skin so incredibly hydrated and beautifully scented. Can't say enough good about this one!

My new favorite. Tahitian tiare, jasmine, ylang ylang, sweet mandarin, and bergamot...divine!! Mostly what lingers on me is a very soft, true, jasmine with a touch of ylang ylang and gardenia. Scent comes from essential oils and not from chemicals so the scent is true and perfect. Unfortunately it only lasts for a couple of hours on me :( but it's a great scent for summer. I usually shy away from 'butters' as they normally leave me feeling greasy, but not this. Probably because most of the hydration comes from oils and not shea butter. Rich and creamy without being thick. The texture is like silk. Super hydrating without being greasy. Leaves my skin so soft all day. Spread it on and the heat from your body and hands disolves this into an oil like texture that absorbs completely in about 5 minutes. No shimmer or glitter at all. Just naturally healthy looking skin. Packaging is the usual plastic tub, but it's nicely done and looks great on my counter. $32.50 for 8 oz, but it will probably last almost the entire summer. Another incredible body cream from O.
