I LOVE this conditioner. This is the only conditioner that I have used that I can actually work my fingers through the back of my hair when wet. I use it as a leave in (pea size), and as a mask. Also it is silicone free which means it will not weigh your hair down, or prevent color from penetrating your hair.

I love this conditioner! I have a very sensitive scalp that is prone to eczema so finding hair products is very difficult. I use this with the no poo shampoo and together they work very well. I like that you can use this as a leave in as well. I will continue to use and repurchase this.

I liked it. I have wavy dry hair and this was a good general moisturizer. It also made my hair noticeably curlier, and effect which lasted even when I stopped using it and switched to a cheaper conditioner. If you're looking for something to condition curls, this is perfect. The only downside is that it's kind of pricey.

This product is a real winner. I have thicker hair which is straight. I conditioner has a good scent to it, and does a great job in making my hair feel really glean. Price is reasonable and I will definitely use it again.

I love this conditioner! It untangles all the knots in my curly hair so easily. I have never used a conditioner this good before. And believe me I have tried basically everything from cheap to expensive. This does not weigh my curls down with silicones or dry it out with sulfates. After I shower I use a very small amount as a leave in conditioner. I just flip my head over and scrunch the product into my hair, which makes it super soft before styling with devacurl AnGEL. More people should use this conditioner because it really works and doesn't just sit on top of your hair weighing it down like other conditioners, but actually moisturizes it.

The only thing that works on my porous 3b hair! I have been using this conditioner for a couple years now, and I buy the giant pump sizes at Ulta. Sure, it is a bit pricey, but a bottle lasts for a long time, especially since I dont wash my hair every day. It doesn't define my curls by itself, so I use a couple more Deva products after (Mister Right, Set it Free, Styling Cream) to get really good curls that last for 2-3 days. It does make my hair at the crown a bit flat, but I think that might just be the weight of the hair itself, not necessarily the product. I don't know what I would do without it!

I think One Condition smells like chalky sweet tarts mixed with synthetic citrus. I think it's supposed to smell spa-like, but not to my nose.
I like how it detangles, adds shine and defines my curls. I hate how heavy my hair is when I use it; it's weighed down at the roots and makes it impossible for me to wear my hair completely down. I end up clipping the front pieces to give myself some height. I feel like pancake head when I use this.
I feel like the company knows this happens, which is why they recommend you buy their $300 glove shaped dryer thing, or invest in their $300 haircut.
But - every time I quit using it, I remember the shine and curl it gave me and go back to it again.
I know there are other products out there and I spent some serious time reading curly hair sites and forums - but I got freaked out by the cult-like vibe and gave up searching.

I've tried many conditioners aimed specifically at curly haired consumers since around 2003 and this is one I keep coming back to that I know works. I like to try new stuff like everybody else for the fun of it and because I like the "hunt" but it says a lot that after a while, I will miss this one and come back to it. It is a silicone free conditioner that helps produce nice ringlets in combination with a few other products and curly hair tricks/tools. As with most things, it matters how you combine and use your products that result in a great effect. Conditioner alone isn't going to give you perfect curls - it's a big piece of the puzzle though. Devachan makes a great light weight gel also.

Scent: I'm not the biggest fan of the licorice-like scent of the scent, but my boyfriend likes it, so it's just personal preference. I prefer the scent of DevaCare's One Condition, which is a tad citrus-y. My stylist (specializing in super curly hair) recommended DevaCare's conditioner when I mentioned the minor scent issue. She said they would work about the same and that has indeed been my experience, having used each for 6 months. So that's an option if scent is your only deterrent. DevaCare is supposed to be a bit more moisturizing, and that's fine for my dry, tight curls, but it might weigh down a looser curl more than DevaCurl. Also, I live in a fairly dry cold/dry hot climate, so humidity doesn't factor into my hair as much.
I finger comb it through my 3c hair until the tangles are gone, and rinse, say, 2/3 of it out. It leaves my hair fairly soft and healthy, and DevaCurl AnGEL finishes it off nicely.
And I love that it's silicone, sulphate, and paraben free.

I just starting using the DevaCurl One Conditioner. I use it after I shampoo with Lo-Poo and then I use some as a leave-in conditioner. I really like the way it leaves my hair--not greasy or heavy. My curls are soft and hardly have any frizz. I want to try the mouse to add some to the top curls.

I've been a curly girl since 2004 and I have the good fortune to visit their SoHo salon in NYC where Keithhas been my stylist for eight years. One Condition is my core Devacurl product. I use it daily, along with No Poo ~ twice weekly. I find this regimen is best for my Botticelli curls. My hair is shoulder length, and I use about three to four pumps of the One Condition. I do not rinse it all out. Depending upon the look I want to achieve, I will either use B'leave in for springy curls or their styling cream for soft, looser curls, and AnGell over both. All Devacurl products are pricey, but don't be tempted to buy it deeply discounted from amazon.com because their products are fakes. I got burned that way once and now I buy it from their salon, website, or Ulta.

After using Dove for a while, I switched to this. Wow, it's made a difference! My hair looks much softer and healthier. I think it's the lack of sulfates that's doing it. Will definitely repurchase.

Works great for my longer, dry, colored, frizz prone, mostly straight hair! I use this and the No Poo as an alternative to Wen/Hair One since they coated my hair and were expensive given the amount of product needed. So glad I switched to this line, my hair has never been in better condition! DevaCurl is not just for curly hair!

I call One Condition "One Magical Elixir". This is a fantastic leave-in or rinse-out conditioner that detangles, smooths, moisturizes, and texturizes. Occasionally I use this as a co-wash (cleanser), and it works beautifully for that as well. For a refresher spray, I dilute this in water in a spray bottle and I spritz it all day long. It adds moisture, shine, and bounce, instantly. All my life, I thought I had bad hair, and I never expected a thing from it. For years, my hair got Suave Strawberry shampoo and I tied it up or cut it short. "Discovering" my "real" hair has been so much fun! One Condition is obviously carefully and lovingly formulated and this quality has does wonders for my hair. Of course, I wish I'd read The Curly Girl Handbook years ago, but I've found it in time to properly care for my three year old daughter's curls, waves, (and tangles)! Here's hoping she never feels it necessary to sleep with her hair wound in soda cans, or with tight ski caps crushing her hair, while dreading shampooing to the point her hair feels wet with grime...Lorraine Massey is my hero. To me, One Condition smells lightly of key lime, but my hair does not hold the scent.

This is one of my two favorite conditioners. The other is Wen Fig, which is even more expensive. It's great for dry, thick, coarse, curly to kinky hair. I use it as a conditioner, as a conditioner wash, and as a leave-in conditioner (it works better for me than the Devacurl Leave in product.)
It is creamy and has a very pleasant, mild, clean smell.

My hair is changing as I'm aging - maybe that's normal, but I've found I don't know how to handle my hair anymore! Enter DevaCurl products, and this one in particular. My hair is normal to fine, getting wavy with a little texture (!). My hair never frizzes and nearly always falls flat in humidity. Conditioners usually weigh my hair down, so I veer toward those that are light and offer little moisture to my dry hair. This is perfect. It moisturizes well and detangles. My hair behaves when I dry it and doesn't act like it's been parched the next time I wash it. I've been shopping around for sulfate-free products and have tried many, but this one, although it smells odd, lands on top in the conditioner category. I bought the travel size to try; I'll be splurging on the full-size soon.

I was very excited when I found the whole Deva line at a local retailer and bought a full sized bottle with the pump.
I'm a big fan of the low-poo, and ArcAngel and thought for sure this was going to be the magical product that was going to solve all my curly problems.
It's probably due to my high expectations (since Lorraine Massey started the CG revolution ) that caused my dissapointment in this product.
PROS:
- Good detangler
- Feels slippery and moist IN the shower
- Sillicone Free (New Formula)
CONS:
- Very $$$ at $45 Canadian for a full bottle
- My hairs feels coated all day when I have this stuff on
- Less curl definition than when I use Live Clean $6.99 Conditioner from Shopper's Drug Mart
I wouldn't buy this again because I can easily find a MUCH MUCH cheaper and CG friendly conditioner at my local drugstore

This doesn't detangle or condition my hair. I like the scent of these products and that's all. Very disappointed with the whole devacurl line.
