I LOVE THIS.
Normally I wear my Bare Study Paintpot from MAC, and then put a few natural shadows overtop (so that it doesn't crease, and that I don't just have shimmer up to my browbone).
WELL, let me tell you, this mousse shadow saves me so much time in the morning ! I just put some on my lid, and use a matte cream-coloured shadow on my browbone (two products!) and I'm done. Except of course, mascara. I haven't touched my Paintpot in weeks, whereas before I got this mousse eyeshadow, I hadn't gone a day without it.
This doesn't crease, and stays all day on it's own. It looks like Bare Study, but it doesn't crease. The only thing that I wouldn't mind seeing is more pigmentation, it's more of just a nice shimmer/sheen. But still, I love it.
Looking for an alternative to Bare Study ? Try this. It's awesome.

love love love it!! looks great with my skin tone, it's pretty and shimmery, get for parties and nightclubs but i would not recommend wearing it for day time because it's too glittery. it goes on so light and so easy with the finger tips. it doesn't crease and feels smooth and airy when wearing it and it doesn't fade fast (i use primer though). i wish they kept selling this because i find it fantastic! the packaging is SO pretty and nice and it's not at an expensive price. a little goes a long way with this one so it'll last you a good amount of time. i would totally buy this again and again.

I really love this product but I would never wear it as an eyeshadow all by itself as it isn't very pigmented. My routine is to apply an eye cream all around my eye area (even my lids and browbones) and once that has pretty much been absorbed I apply a light film of Ivory Illusion. I then pat just the teensiest bit of loose face powder over it then apply my powder eyeshadows. My shadows stay fresh all day without creasing and the subtle shimmer this product imparts is just beautiful! I was told a few years ago that women in their 40's should stick to wearing matte shadows and I tried that for awhile but I find mattes to be flat and boring and in fact make me look older while a bit of soft shimmer reflects the light and is very flattering.

I really, really like this. I got a whole bunch of these on sale the other day for a couple bucks each. While I hated some of them, I loved a couple. This was one of the ones I loved. The color is great. I got a couple compliments the first day I wore it. The only thing I don't like about it is it's a bit greesy.

I LOVE the color!
Its such a great one to give a little life to my eyes without messing with doing a full eye. GREAT highlighter!
Although I like the creamy consistency, I couldn't find a better way to apply this than with my fingers and I know that's not particularly sanitary.
The staying power was pretty good. It was GREAT when I used my UD primer.
I wish I could find this in the store again. I settled for a Cover Girl in a similar color but the staying power blew chunks. :-(

when i bought this i was looking for a nice alternative to the mousse shadow in vanilla veil which i use almost every day.
pros:
-its a good eye shadow primer for powder shadows
-it brightens up my eye a little bit and makes me look more awake
-has great lasting power
cons:
-from the name "ivory illusion" i expected some sort of off white creamy color, not a goldish color with pink which is what it looks like on my NC15-20 skintone.
-the sparkles in this eyeshadow are more obvious on me than the ones in vanilla veil-making it harder to use as a highlighter.
it wasn't wat i was looking for exactly, i was looking for a great alternative to my beloved vanilla veil. but since i only spent $2 on it i wud consider it a decent buy.

I bought this intending to use as a highlight/shadow base. And after trying the mousse foundation formula by Maybelline and loving it, I figured this would a winner. I kind of liked it in the beginning, but now when attempting to use it - it crumbles!!! I'm not sure if this is one those products that you have to use right away and not sit for months. (which is a bad habit I have ) but I guess that's the con in getting a mousse/cream product. I want to toss this but will probably TRY to finish this as I will attempt to use as a shadow base. I would NEVER purchase this again!

This was way too shiny and light in color for my taste. I was looking for a great cream neutral shadow. This was very unflattering on me.

I like this product, and I will buy other shades of the Dream Mousse. I found this on sale and it was only $2, so I decided I couldn't pass it up. The shade is very natural. It brightens up your eyes with just a little bit of shimmer. I didn't need much product at all to get the look I wanted with this eyeshadow. It feels very light on my eyelids, which is another plus. Overall, this is a nice, natural shadow that really brightens up your eyes.

I purchased this on my search for the perfect neutral cream eye shadow. Unfortunately, it was anything but perfect. I like the color, just a neutral shimmer, but I could not get over the texture of this product. I'm generally not too into anything that I have to dip my fingers into, but this was just terrible. Most of the product just crumbled up and was very hard to apply. Overall, it's a nice color and was good to use as a base for other shadows (especially ones with glitter) but definitely not something I would ever repurchase or recommend.

This is a beautiful neutral shade. I had been looking for a neutral cream shadow and BAM I ran into this. It is subtle and looks so nice. Perfect for summer. I use my finger to blend it. I got it half off at CVS, I was so excited for that. Woohoo!
Love it.

I bought this mainly based on the good reviews here. Its quite a nice little eyeshadow. It subtly enhances my eyes and looks natural. However, I found it just a little too subtle...so subtle you can't really notice it. I also find it really hard to apply. Putting my finger in the pot once is not enough for an application. Then I try putting it on thicker and I get these little "globs" of eyeshadow on my finger which are really hard to blend in...I'll keep using it however I wouldn't buy it again.

OOH!! perfect e/s base! first i should tell you that i got these BOGO at Walgreens, so it was an amazing deal. i specifically bought them for e/s bases, so i bought the ivory illusion and vanilla veil to highlight. both are wonderful... the ivory illusion is a simple beigey color with tons of shimmer. the vanilla veil is a white with the same shimmer. not glitter, but pretty shimmer that catches gorgeously in the light. after applying fdn to my face, i use this color all over my lid and then use the vanilla veil to highlight under my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes and below my lower lash line. both colors are very sheers, but easily can be layered and i have to trouble blending them! they feel so amazing on, like silky smooth powder... i love these and, as another rec for using them as e/s base, i put this on at 6:00 am, went through a day of school and studying and now it is almost 7:00 pm... NO CREASES!!! that 13 hours girls! amazing....

This product does exactly what I want it to do for a fraction of the price that Benefit or MAC cream shadows do. For a lady 'of a certain age' who likes an all over subtle eye brightener without a lot of sparkles I find this to enhance the eye, stays on all day (doesn't crease but I have dry eye lids) and has a slight shimmer that is age appropriate yet would certainly look nice for any age as a casual, daytime natural look. I also have this in the mint green, a color I never would have thought I could get away with and it is beautiful with my almost turquoise eyes. A light application gives a 'wash' of neutral shade in both of these colors. If you want real color these are not for you.

I was always curious about this line and recently had the opportunity to buy it at a warehouse sales for just a few dollars. I am really pleasantly surprised how much I love this shadow and how it's quickly become my "go to" in my morning routine. It wakes me up and gives me a glowy look which I love. I really like the mousse texture for my "older" eyes, it stays fresh looking throughout the day. I would def. repurchase...will look great during summer months.

So...i'm almost out of this :-(
I usually use it as a highlighter on my brow bone. I also use it for a base for UD's midnight cowboy (a reviewer below mentioned this) and it keeps the glitter in midnight cowboy from flaking off.
I am almost out of this though and it is annoying to scrape it out of the little pot. A tube or wider dish would be better packaging.

I picked this one up when it was on sale since I'm in love with the mousse blush!! I thought this color looked so pretty and since I usually use powder shadows I decided to get something I can use as a base. This worked out perfectly!! I use my index finger to barely touch the top of the product and then gently pat into my eyelids up the browbone. I find if you dig your finger in, you have too much product and you end up with a chunky mess! It only takes a hint of product and you're left with a nice glowy sheer color. It really lightens up my eyelid without add noticeable color. If you're looking for color pay-off this isn't the one for you, it's a perfect long-wearing base shade for me! I'll definitely re-purchase!!!
