A nice purple colour that is the right amount of glitter for my liking. I love O.P.I,, and this polish is no exception.

Very reddish-toned purple with shimmer. Opaque in two coats for me. I found the application not as nice as a lot of OPI's; it went on a bit thick and streaky.

I never thought that I would ever own a purple nail polish considering I'm a hot pink and red nail addict. But Plugged-In Plum is such an amazing fun purple colour. It has kind of a metallic shine which makes it look unique on its own. It takes 2 coats to make it opaque and I've had lots of compliments about this one!! Absolutely love it!

Such a pretty plum! There isn't any noticable shimmer to it, but it's super shiny and wet looking. Two coats seemed to achieve full opacity for me. I got tons of compliments, and it only started chipping after 6 days and I didn't even use top coat! Will buy again for sure.

I bought this when I really wanted a nice summery plum. It kinda reminded me of Essie's Bermuda Shorts which I've been dying to try. It took 3 coats to get my desired look, but I really love it.

Wow! I think I found my OPI version (although somewhat different) of Essie's Viva La Vespa. Lately I have been on a purple pedicure kick - and Plugged-In Plum is PERFECT for a bright (red-toned) plum-purple. I love it. So purty and bright yet dark (not goth, not vampy - just rich, rich color.)

LOVELY.

I looove this color!!!! Reminds me of china glazes flying dragon but doesn't dry matte and no dull useless glitter. Very pigmented purple and its opaque w 2 coats. dries quick. This is a great color. I'm surprised at the buy again % (60% before I reviewed)
I normally don't care for darker shades on my tips but this is fab. Would def recommend!

Being from Minnesota, this color gets "Vikings" remarks. But it is lovely on my toes. Its dark.. but not too dark. The WIDE brush should be used in all bottles. Its prettier for fall or winter.

As below reviewers have said, I would describe it as a brighter dark purple with red reflects. Very pretty!
It took me about 3-4 coats to get it to my desired look, but I would think you'd need at least 2. I didn't use a base coat or top coat, and it stayed on w/out ANY chipping for about 5 days. I saw a few minor chips day 6, but hardly.
Great polish overall, just not such a big fan of the nearly $10 price tag.

Thanks for reading! :)

beautiful bright plum color. slight shimmer which adds subtle depth. it definitely has that "lit from within" look and is a great bright darker color.

it takes three thin coats to get the full depth of color, plus a nice coat of seche vite (polish dries a little satin). i've had average tip wear for an OPI.

Love this colour! It's such a pretty colour which looked great against my pale skin. I did start chipping after about 4 days but I don't mind because the colour is gorgeous.

I got this on sale for $5 otherwise I would have never bought it haha. It's a nice plummy colour with some red shimmer. But it is definitely a red based purple which I'm am not so much into. I prefer pink or blue based purples. Nice colour and I don't have anything like it but I did noticed that Zoya nail polish that seemed more up my alley so I am definitely going back for that ;)

I agree with MICROMIN the color does look better in the bottle. I am about NC50/55 and I did not like this on my nails and how it made my hands look overall. It is a shinny plummy color it's a hair lighter than a real plum. The color is very flat it does not pop. OPI is hit or miss with me in color selection and in formula/consistency.

This is one of the colours I would say looks better in the bottle. In the bottle this colour looks like a hot purple with a hint of shimmer. However on the nail it seems to have more plum in it… so it looks more muted on the nails.

Collection: from OPI's 2006 Brighter by the Dozen summer collection

Application: I found it took 3 coats to get the desired look.

Durability: lasted ages.. I had it on for over a week and only removed it to change colour. Didn’t seem to crack or chip, however as all polishes it needed a top up with top coat to bring back its shine.

Final thoughts, I would buy this again, I got lots of compliments on this colour. I would not say this is a brights/hot colour so if that’s what ur after I wouldn’t go for this one. Would I buy it again…. Um maybe

This is a great color for toes if you like purples. Its a medium plum with a touch of irridescence to it. The coverage could be a little better, but on my toes, it was fine after 2 coats.

A purple shimmer with blue/muted fuchsia tones, from OPI's 2006 Brighter by the Dozen summer collection. It is quite similar to China Glaze's On the Prowl, only a little bit less blue-toned and a wee bit lighter. I much prefer On the Prowl; Plugged-In Plum seems a bit too sedate for something described by OPI as "electric".

Click for my pic.
