Rimmel Glam'Eyes Quad Eye Shadow Powder Precious Crown:
Bought this @ Walmart San Diego. Noticed that also at CVS, the shadow in the pan looks very pigmented and sultry looking. But when I took it home and tried it on, it was a big let down. All four colors came out light black! Even tested it on my forearm and all the test swatches looked identical! All light black. It cost about 5 dollars. So I digged in the waste basket to fish out my Wal Mart receipt and got my money back. I last bought a Rimmel shadow more than 5 years ago, and remembered it was garbage. And gave them another chance by purchasing precious crown. I know many other women out there are noticing alll four colors of Precious Crown look black. Hope they went thru the effort to return it to the store and get their money back. A rip off.

I have this in 246 Taupe Its a beautiful grayish colour. It's sheer, but you can EASILY layer it up. it's matte, but it's easy to blend. I love it as a wash of colour and some eye liner! very beautiful! The packaging is very cheap looking and feeling. But for the price, i have no problem!

Can't say much that hasn't been said. These are easily the least evolved shadows out there. Poor, bland colors once applied no matter how ok they look in the compact, goes on powdery like chalk, little staying power.. Rimmel, you need to give your shadows a make-over!

Poorly pigmented, extremely chalky, and looks like cakey powdered on makeup. Don't recommend.

I have owned a couple of duos and a single eyeshadow from Rimmel, and swatched a couple more. Compared with both more expensive brands of makeup and with brands that are the same prices, Rimmel eyeshadows are poorly pigmented and low quality. The colours look nice in the pans but the payoff is poor, even for shadows which look very dark.

The color payoff with these is non existant. Do not waste your money. You can get better eyeshadows for the price.

Like many reviews, it is true that these colors look beautiful in the package, but when you put them on your skin they are so faint. You really have to layer it up and good luck getting it to stay on more than a few hours even with an eye primer. Will not buy again.

I bought his product in the dark signature collection for my green eyes. The colors were really pretty and looked like they had the color pigmentation and saturation that I was lookin for, but I couldn't have been more mistaken! These eyeshadow collections are really pretty in the packaging but DONT BE FOOLED!!!, nothing shows up on my skin, unless I really, really, layer and on my older skin that is not a good thing, tends to cake up etc..., do not buy this eyeshadow, it is deftinitely not worth your hard earned money!

I think this is an OK eyeshadow. It's not great but its ok. Alright to start off with if your not great with make up because as everyone has said, the pigmentation is not too strong. I bought the newer edition eyeshadow, in white and black and it had the cute crown in the middle. I must say that the black comes out as more or a grayish colour so I can actually use this in the day time, but don't be fooled by what the colour looks like at first glance. You think they will apply on with a mad pop of colour, but they really don't so... yea...

Price is around $14 per colour tray... I won't rush out and buy this again, but I wouldn't go far as to call this rubbish. Like I said, it's ok...

There's no way I can even see the colour properly. There's barely any pigment at all, even when I keep applying more. If you love basically sheer eyeshadows, you might like these. But I look for actual colour!

I should’ve read the review on MUA before spending $$ on the product. I love love love Rimmel’s Nail polishes and lipstick and made a mistake purchasing the eye shadow.

I really was not happy with this product... the quads and trios look so wonderful in the pan and then when you put them on there is no pigment to them so you really have to layer it.. and after all that layering its ultimatly wasted product as it doesn't last at all!!! Boo! super unimpressed!!

I have 2 of these. The first one is Gold Spun and it looks a lot older than the other. Its a shimmery light golden brown shadow. It feels hard to touch and the shimmer is quite chunky. The color payoff is still good enough for me for day wear - its a flattering shade. I actually really like the effect in the end. Its not metallic, not satin but shimmer that reflects in a very cute way.

Now to the second one: The shade is After Dark. Its a matte black shadow. It looks as if it was one of their recent editions. There is a silver crown embossed in the middle. The silver is only on the surface. This shadow is amazing. So pigmented, so soft and long lasting. Definitely the best black I have used. I always reach out for it to use as a black eye liner. It works great and stay the whole day. Would only buy the black one again.

I now bought two metallic shades with an embossed crown - VIP and Punk Chic. Both are very nice neutral shades and the color payoff seems to be ok. Check them out!

I bought a dark gray single shadow. It looked decent when I put it on as I was leaving to go out to dinner. When I got home two hours later, I looked in the mirror and there was absolutely NO shadow left on my eye. I've never used an eyeshadow that disappeared so quickly. Will certainly not repurchase another Rimmel eyeshadow. I've had good luck with their blush and lipgloss though.

Good thing they have this general thing for eyeshadows, so I can say, RIMMEL HAS THE WORST EYESHADOWS OF THE DRUGSTORE BRANDS! There, I said that. I got a few of their singles and they're absolutely useless. No color pigmentation, maybe leaves behind a little bit of shimmer. I usually like eye shadows that aren't terribly pigmented because they make great everyday shadows, but these are so terribly pigmented that I don't even want to use them ever. They're a frustration and a waste of time.

I got it for free as part of a Rimmel promotional competition, so I guess I can’t really complain about pricing. Anyway, the powder isn’t too bad, it’s a bit more dense without looking chalky. It doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. The colour is less intense than what it appears to be, so if that’s what you’re looking for…i.e. a bit more morning look/everyday look.
It’s a bit hard to build up colour, so once again, if you’re into really intense eye shadow makeup…probably not the best product…
Cute packaging though.

i was looking for an alternative to my Bourjois Les Verts palette that I love but is getting old (Sephora doesn't carry that line anymore, no?) Anyway, I picked up Rimmel's trio in Tempting, a "range" of greens that suit my eye color. Yes, I was tempted, but I should have known better. The pigmentation is virtually nonexistent. I ended up putting my Bourjois on top of what I had already done with the Rimmel. I'll chalk it up to a weak moment in the drugstore. We all have those.

I really hate this product when used on my eyelids.. it's just terrible. The pigmentation is crap.. Thank God I got it on sale..

However, I have the jet black one, I absolutely fell in love with it for my eyebrows! It's the perfect shade and stays put all day long. I actually quite like the packaging too, it's really simple. None of that fancy stuff. :) I'd buy it again just for my eyebrows! HG for sure.

This is for Cream/Caramel duo. Colors are pretty and go on smoothly. Not the most pigmented but I prefer a lighter look for daywear!

Cream is a latte colored light brown that goes on flesh-colored and the Caramel is a chocolate brown that goes on medium brown.
