I adore every product I have by Laura Mercier. This is no exception and as a matter of fact I think it is the best product I have. This product actually transforms my skin. I have a fairer complexion and use this as a blush, highlighter, but also use the lighter colors on my eyes too as a highlighter, like under the brow bone. I use a fan brush and swirl all the colors together and sweep on my upper cheekbones, up my temples and onto my forehead. The colors are soft and my skin looks radiant (which is a miracle). I am amazed at what a difference one product can make in the appearance of my skin ( I also simultaneously got a correct foundation match for my skin as well at the LM counter so that could be helping too). At first I was weary at the almost $40 price tag, but once the SA put this on, I was sold and didn't care how much it costs, I NEEDED it. I also love how I can use each color individually as well. If you are wanting to try this product, just go for it. You will not be disappointed!

I adore this blush. I'm mixed race and it's the perfect blend of pinks for just about any skin color. It gives me such a healthy glow. It's kind of pricey but I'm lucky to say that when I ordered it online, someone made a snafu and sent me 3 of them instead of one. It was Christmas time so it was an awesome thing to re-gift. hehehe
I won't hesitate to buy it again.

This looks beautiful on all skins. The only problem is that once you've used most of it it will break. I placed my leftovers in an empty loose powder container. It has actually lasted me longer than had it stayed pressed.

I was so impressed with the Orchid Mosaic that I decided to try out the Pink Mosaic as well ........ I find that for my pale NW10 skin, this works as a great blush ....... I find the color a pretty pink that when used with my skunk brush imparts a pretty glow ...... for those who are pale, and want a great pink glow/blush that looks natural and not clownish (as most do on my skin) definitely check out the Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc (just use a light hand and a skunk brush.)

Unbelievably pretty! But expensive...
This compact has four distinct shades - pale champagne pink, bright berry, dusky rose and sparkly beige and can be used separately or swirled together for an overall soft pink glow.
The finish is fairly shimmery but not what I would call frosty (not unless you really pack it on!) and goes on quite sheer. I think this looks best layered over a deeper (matte) blush so it's a bit disappointing that it's better suited (IMO) better as a layering product for what it costs. I think there are other highlighters that are maybe not so cute, but that are just as effective and cost less.

I love the colors of this Shimmer bloc.. I like to sometimes use the paler ones and other days I use all of them together...I love the glow it gives, and when done right is not overdone at all.....
BUT I have bought this product about 4 times now and Every time it ends up breaking not even half way through the product!!!!!! It is so frustrating. So beware do not even drop it once because it will break and be a mess everywhere! I think they should make this product stick together better.....I end up using all the broken pieces til I run out, because the stuff is too expensive to just throw out...

The nly thing I dislike about this product is that sometimes it can feel like its stinging my cheek slightly. I love the color the shimmer and everything else. It is used as a blush but I also use it as eyeshadow and it works really well. I would buy this again. I recommend you try it, but beware lol.

LOVE this product. I actually bought this to use as an eye shadow quad. It also looks great as blush, too...So definitely multi-purpose. Another reviewer stated that there wasn't enough "color." I completely disagree...there is a lot of pigment. I'm thinking of starting my own collection of all these blocs. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best make up products that I have bought in a long time. I use this on my eyes for highlighting and on my cheeks. It leave such a delicate finish. A little goes a long way so it is definately worth the price. When I wear it on my face I do not wear blush.

Eh, this left me looking too shiny and made my pores look huge. I was looking for something to replace the Clinique LE Black Honey Mosaic powder from a couple years ago, but sadly, this isn't it.
Also, i can't believe how expensive it was. SO not worth $40

When I was getting color matched for my LM tinted moisturizer, my MA put this on as a blush and LOVED how it gave that "glowy" look. A week later, I gave in..and I'm glad I did. It's absolutely gorgeous!

This is truly an all over color for me. I use the stila double ended brush with this and use the lighter colors on my eyes and swirl around for my cheeks. I usually only wear this in winter though as I usually just stick to bronzer in summer, although I can see a darker girl getting away with just this or both. Although there are many people who say that you should wear pink blush with bronzer (and may bronzers sold that way) I find I look like I have a fever if I do both. I am a huge Laura Mercier fan and this product meets my expectations for these products, I just wish I could wear it more often. My skin has major pink undertones, and while the shimmer bloc looks kinda pink in the compact, I can attest that it is not "too pink," even for me.
As an aside, every time I take a plane I am always afraid that I will get stuck in an airport for three days so this is always in my carry on because I can and have just used this as makeup and nothing else. Then when I wash my face before landing, this is what I put on, again courtesy of the Stila double-ended brush. It's the first time a product marketed as "multiple" looked good on my cheeks and my eyes and to date the only "multiple" that truly worked on me. Another product from Laura Mercier that is "à la hauteur de mes attentes!"

Pink Mosaic works really well on my NC 25 skintone and dark hair/eyes. I blend the darker colours to use as blush or the lighter colours to use as a highlighter. It works well as both - applied sparingly the shimmers appear as a slight glow. It's a beautiful finish and it looks gorgeous in the compact. It's quite a large pan in a sturdy compact, but there's no brush included (which would have been handy for touch-ups). Lasted for most of the day, and the lighter colours can be used as highlighters on the brow bone or on lower lids to brighten up the eyes.

This is very pretty. i am not a shimmery makeup girl at all, with my oily skin, the last thing i want to do is add shine.. but i find i use this (sparingly) and i'm pleased with the results. this is a finely milled very high quality compact. i use the lightest pink in the inside corner of my eyes and instantly look awake! i also use the darkest pink just on the apples of my cheeks over my blush and it makes my face POP. i like this product.

I'm pale and cool-toned, and this product has replaced most of the pink blushes and highlighters I've owned. I've had difficulty wearing LM's regular blush shades because they'e so intense. Her bright pink shade, Opera, is especially unflattering on me, accentuating the ruddy tones in my complexion. The Pink Mosaic shades, by contrast, are sheerer and more silky, and they show up well on me without clashing with my skintone. I also like the fact that many of LM's products are shimmery without featuring all the aging, shedding glitter particles found in Bobbi Brown and so many other brands. However, I would not wear these particular shades as e/s, as I would with the Mosaic and Golden Mosaic colors, so this collection is not as versatile. But LM already offers so many beautiful, cool-toned e/s shades (Fresco, Princess, Mauve and others), I'm okay with that.

I have to agree with the other reviewers on this. It reminds me of the BB pink shimmerbrick. Not enough color. ITs just a very soft amount of slightly pink shimmer. I barely see any color when i use this as blush or eyeshadows. Maybe on someone pale, but i am an nc30 and it barely gives off color. Now if you just want a highlighter on your cheekbones and brow bones, this will work but there are a lot cheaper products that will do that. THis is a pricey $38. Nothing special here.

This is one of those purchases that I bought on impulse. It's not great and it's not horrible. The price was ridiculous--$38!! I did notice that when used as a highlighter, it has just enough shimmer in it. It doesn't look TOO shimmery. Since it's 4 colors, you can really use it over anything. Today I swirled my brush into pink mosaic and then into blush (stila heat), and it looked pretty good. as far as an eyeshadow, i think it sucked. the MA put it on me, and then as the day went on, it was clumping/creasing on my lid. When I did it myself and used an e/s primer, it did the same thing (whereas my MAC shadows do not). (edit: the last time I wore this, I applied with a small, flat brush and I patted it on instead of dusting it on and it did not crease.)I'm sure there are better products at cheaper prices out there.
edit: my new favorite way to wear this is with MAC Dame blush. I swipe my brush into Dame, and then Pink Mosaic, and Dame gives Pink Mosaic more of a base color to go with the sparkle.

I bought this at Nordstrom's when LM was introducing her new products for Spring '06. This retails for $38.00, which I think was a bit pricey. (But then, all LM products are on the expensive side to me.) The colors in Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc are mostly shimmery pinks and shimmery taupe-pinks. This is my first ever shimmer block of any brand, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I do now know for sure that I am really NOT a "shimmer block" kinda gal, especially after wasting my $$ on this one.I really was looking for one of Laura's regular blushes, and the MA at the LM counter kinda pushed me in the direction of this shimmer bloc. She told me it was really nice and versatile, because it worked well as a blush OR as eyeshadow.Well, it depends what you like in a blush- and an eyeshadow. I have used this as both, and I found the color payoff a bit disappointing as a blush. I didn't really notice the shimmer on my cheeks, but then I didn't really notice anything special about this when I used it as a blush. So, after letting my $38+ investment sit unused for about a month, I decided to try using the colors as e/s. It turned out to be as equally disappointing as a shadow as it was a blush! The shimmer this provides around my 43+-years eyes made me look older! It is hard to describe, becuz I didn't think it was "frosty," but more like a "gritty, chalky, shimmer." [blech] I tried to soften the effects by applying a little MAC Vanilla Pigment over it, but I think that just made it worse! It just seemed to accentuate the grittiness of the shimmer- it was not a nice look at all! Last time I use this as a shadow...I would recommend the Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc more for cheek use (highlighter over blush or bronzer), or maybe even for other parts of the body during the summer when more skin is exposed. Unless you are young with nice tight eyelids, I would NOT recommend using this as an eyeshadow! The colors are very neutral, so without the shimmer, this probably would make a pretty decent everyday eyeshadow. But with all the chalkiness in this formula, this did NOT work for me as an e/s.Overall, I would say I am a bit disappointed in this product. :o(
