This color is just awesome, I just need to apply two layers to cover my nails perfectly and it doesn't dry too fast or too slow. It's a little expensive in my opinion but it looks awesome.

I'm absolutely in love with this colour!! It's so fresh and just perfect! I do generally love Essie's colours, but this is my favorite. With a base coat, two layers of nail I really love this, and wouldn't give it less than 5 stars!

Essie's California Coral is my go-to pedicure polish for the summer months, and something I usually reserve until mid-July. It's very flattering with a nice tan, particularly on toes. The color is rich, juicy, and not too orange (unlike many of the other corals I've come across) and applies opaque and evenly with two coats. It's fairly glossy in its own right, but a topcoat will help with the fact that it chips easily because the formula is somewhat thin. Essie is a bit pricey, given the hit-and-miss quality of their products, but I think this one is worth every penny.

Looks really nice on the toes especially during summertime. A good, solid coral, makes your feet look tan and clean.

I liked this polish a lot, but I got rid of it since it's an exact dupe to RBL Coral. I prefer the RBL because the brush is better and the formula applies better, but if you're looking for RBL Coral and don't want to pay the high price, get California Coral instead.

Perfect shade of orange/pink . Looks great on my toes and perfect summer color. It applies opaque and is very glossy.

California Coral is a pretty shade more on the warm side so for me it only works when I have a good tan. Im giving it 3 lippies only because I noticed that after 3 days the color turns dull and matte like, it looks good only the first 2 days after application.

Under incandescent light, this polish appears to be obnoxiously orange-red, but that's because incandescent lightbulbs put out a very yellowish light, bringing out the orange undertones of this polish. Even then, I wouldn't peg this is as an orange.
In reality (and under natural sunlight), this is a cerise color with some orange and yellow mixed in. It does paint on a bit darker than the bottle color, so keep that in mind if you see this on the shelf and expect it to have a slight pastel quality-- it doesn't, really.
I LOVE this color! It looks adorable on toes and very vibrant on fingers, a timeless summer color. Geranium was way too intense for me, but California Coral is just right with just a hint more blue and a shade or two lighter. The formula is surprisingly opaque for an Essie polish, with plenty of pigmentation. Depending on how adept you are at painting with the tiny Essie brushes, this is a one-coater, but two coats wouldn't hurt.

This polish was bittersweet for me. I had been looking for a dupe for Essie's Click it or Ticket, a gorgeous metallic coral color. Needless to say, I fell in love. I only had a sample size and soon ran out. I couldn't find a full size of this polish. So I looked in Essie's permanent line to find a dupe for it. I saw this polish in my local salon and loved it. It's a gorgeous pinky coral, just what I wanted. When I put it on my fingernails it was a totally different story. It looked orange. Orange, matte and just looked awful on me. I was so disappointed. Of course it had the great quality and pigmentation of Essie nail polishes, but it wasn't what I wanted. But it still makes a nice neon toe color. I wear this on my toes cause it's bright and bold. I won't be buying again though =/

I picked this up along with another shade when I found it in the clearance bin at Trade Secret. I am a huge fan of OPI, but figured I would give Essie a try. The color is pretty, but nothing remarkable, and I just don't love the formula as much as I do OPI. It took 3 coats to build this polish to an opaque look, and it chips pretty easily. I don't see myself repurchasing Essie.

I bought this on sale at Trade Secret, I hope that doesn't mean it is discontinued because I love this color! It's a gorgeous deep, bright coral that is more pink than orange. It is one of the few Essie nail polishes I own that only requires one coat, as it applies very rich and pigmented. I just painted my nails with this and it made me so happy. I know I will be loving this color this spring and summer!

I bought this polish just so that I could get free shipping on an order I was placing. At the time I had never before tried Essie polishes, so I had no idea as to what I should expect. I am a Chanel polish devotee and can be quite snobbish about what I put on my nails. I have to say that Essie makes some pretty good polishes, and this is probably the nicest out the Essie polishes I've tried. California Coral is bright orange with just a touch of coral in it. It is a cream. I wore this on my toes the whole summer in 2009. I don't like the color that much on my fingernails, but I do like how fun and bright it is on my toes. The polish applies evenly and doesn't chip quickly.

I love Essie California Coral on my pale warm skin and also in the summer when I'm tanner. It is a bright, happy coral leaning orange with a hint of pink. It's deeper/more orange than Carousel Coral which is my other go-to for softer pinkish coral. Application is great and wear is good for me.

This is not an orange coral and not a pink coral either, but more warm than cool. A bit like those muted coral polishes/lipsticks you sometimes see in Mad Men.

I love this color! I can't get enough of Essie polishes, and just added California Coral to my collection. With my skintone, this is the perfect shade of coral. It's great for summer on my toes, and also my fingernails. The ratio of orange and pink is great! I prefer Essie polishes over OPI any day, and with a top coat, this lasts for quite a while!

This is my first Essie polish and I have to say, I'm impressed. I really love the color. Oranges don't usually work on me but this one actually does. It looks perfect with two coats and there was no streaking at all. I got it on clearance from Ulta so the price was great at $3.99. I'm glad I got it and I would repurchase but probably won't need to :)

This is a really nice coral nailpolish, but not the perfect one I was looking for (I haven't found it yet). Funny, a previous reviewer mentioned that this appeared too orange on them. I have the opposite problem - it's not quite orange enough, and too pink! I was really hoping for just a tad more orange (which I was able to achieve by putting one coat of NYC Times Square Tangerine over it). Still, it's a very nice shade that applies smoothly, doesn't streak, and lasts without chipping (a little more rub-off at the edges than OPI, but still high quality). Great for a summer pedi, and flattering whether you are pale or tan. If anyone has any ideas for my "perfect" coral, shoot me a PM!

I have this on my nails right now. It does come out pretty orange but it is an awesome summer color. No streaking and no chipping. I love Essie!
