Ok, I consider myself a self-tanner snob. I never buy anything from a Drugstore, due to bad previous orange-tastic results.I usually buy online, or from Sephora (think St. Tropex, Faux Tan by BE etc.) I got this tube in a Glossybox, and decide one night to give it a try, thinking it was "gradual" and I just wanted to test it out. WHOA! I was completely tanned the next day, and got many comments and compliments. Also, it really seemed to last . I then re-applied today after my shower, and I just went to a Cardio Bootcamp. My trainer said "Wow, you look great! Awesome tan!" When I told him it was from a bottle, he couldnt believe it. Guess what? It stinks (literally). It has that distinct "self-tanner" smell. I have yet to find ANY brand that does not smell, no matter WHAT they claim. They ALL smell. Small price to pay for a healthy alternative to sun. I will keep using it. I even put it on my face....awesome, EVEN results.

I had to leave a review of this product because I'm shocked by all the really positive reviews I see for this. It's one of the worst self tanners when it comes to smell... if you even want to call it a self tanner. I am ghostly pale and I found the light to medium formula to be useless so I thought I'd give this one a shot. On the plus side, gradual self tanners like this one are pretty much goof proof. I had no issue with streaks or unevenness and the color when it finally develops after days and days and days is natural looking, but not great if you actually want to look tan. You can't miss a single day of application while the color is developing to the point that you want to be at and as soon as you exfoliate at any point after you start using this, you can kiss your tan goodbye. It's washed down the drain forcing you to start the entire process all over again applying every single day. Miss more than a day of applying and you're blotchy. The new formula still has that penny smell to it and I've noticed that the color reference on the back of the bottle gets lighter and lighter each year suggesting they're using less dha forcing you to apply it for a longer period of time and more often 2x a day to get results yet the price keeps going up. I won't be repurchasing. There are way better instant self tanners that smell better, cost less, and only need to be applied once or twice a week so they're way less maintenance.

Love this stuff. I'm a paper-white girl, who likes to look tan in the summer, without the skin damage. I purchased this to use during the week to help keep the color between my weekend sunless tanning session. I have been very pleased with this product! Keeps me evenly dark, and it has no tanner smell! I tried this on it's own (no other tanner), and I believe it works best as an in-between. But either way, give it a shot! And don't waste your time with the light to medium, unless you aren't looking to be noticeably darker.

I started using this product again during the winter. The promise of a new, odorless formula enticed me, because the smell is what turned me off from this product in the past. Anyway, in the winter, there's no smell-- but that's because I'm not sweating. Spring has sprung, folks, and guess what? I'm spending more time outside with my son, I'm getting sweaty, and I SMELL TERRIBLE. It also streaks, something I don't usually have an issue with. I still use it, because it seems to be the best drugstore every day product, but St Tropez mousse is so much better as a weekly product. I also go through a bottle of Jergens in three weeks. If I could find a cheaper, better drugstore self tanner, I'd break up with Jergens in a heartbeat.

Thumbs up to Jergens, they did get rid of the odor initially. As the day progresses, I've noticed a self tanner odor, but it is not as bad this year. I tried medium to tan formula. I've used it for over a week now, and I'm not seeing much of a tan. I love how there is hardly any odor, it hasn't streaked, it is gradual but not enough for me. Still, a great product.

I finally gave into the hype and bought the new odor-free, firming version of this in the med-tan shade.

Initially it is indeed odor-free, but I do smell a very faint but distinctive self-tanner smell sometimes, usually 2 hours or less after I've used it. However, because it is pretty good for firming (at least for me) and the color development has been DIVINE, I will keep using it!

I am extremely fair and pale - I burn and then go straight back to pale, lol. With this product, I get a lovely, natural-looking tan that builds on the FIRST application. I'm past the point where I try being tan, since the sun is so damaging, but boy, my inner vain tan wannabe sure does LOVE the look of this stuff. I use it every other day, just to minimize the chance of looking unnatural, but it delivers.

I do think it takes awhile to absorb, so I always leave it on 15-20 minutes before getting dressed. No greasy afterfeel. And so far, no streaks or other weirdness I often see from self-tanner, even my beloved L'Oreal Sublime Sun, which I use in conjunction with this, after mid-April.

I do think the firming properties are pretty good, too. The texture of my skin looks improved.

Try it. I was super doubtful of it and I LOVE it!!

I bought this "new" formula that is supposed to have no odor. The formula is much thicker(i bought firming) and while it doesn't smell right away it does later! It has the same effect on me as their older products....I don't notice any less "smell" than their previous products!
I do like the color, however.

I love this tinted moisturizer. I use it year round (but especially in the winter months) to maintain a healthy glow and I get compliments on my nice tan all the time. The only problem that I have is that sometimes it comes off on the insides of my clothes which is annoying but it just rinses out when I wash it.

This year's product (firming version) is very disappointing. I have been using this moisturizer ever since it came on the market. I used the medium tan color which had a nice tint to it out of the bottle and when applied 1x overnight it produced a nice tan. Now the lotion is barely tinted at all and says you have to use it every day for at least a week to obtain a halfway decent tan. The company is using less tint in the product and making you use it every day to reach a desired/decent result. What they are doing is making us have to use more of it and buy more of it. I think that sucks, especially with the economy the way it is right now. The way it was tinted before I could use it 2x a week and was good to go. If I had known about this change in the lotion I would not have bought it. I am going to switch to another brand.

SMELL: It smells like Garnier Fructis Hair Conditioner and Shampoo.. Many people have remarked they can taste the chemical-fragrance on their tongues , just by smelling it......

FEEL: It's a moisture filled lotion that keeps hydrated all day long. (If too greasy, then you can blot the skin with a tissue) The first use gave me a headache from the smell. (I later washed it off after the color developed) The 5th use made my skin sting. (I have sensitive skin)......

COLOR: Showed up ligthly after the first use. (Faster than Clarins) There are a few light mica sparkles with no color also left on the skin after use.

USE... I had the best results after about 3 days for my pale olive toned skin, after that, it became a bit too orangey for me to continue. .....And it began to blotch on my face.. my Face is dry to normal, I will add.

It does stink but i use it at night and shower in the morning. It gives a nice subtle tan, very natural and ive never had any issues with blotchy spots or streaking. Way better than any other self tanner ive used.

Loveee this lotion. Its great to build a tan if your afraid of harsh color in one application like regular self tanners. I like to use it on my hands and feet to give them some color because other tanners look really obvious on them. Great lotion and smells so good!

Love this! I am very fair but this gives me a really natural light tan. I use this only about 3 times a week, though, not daily. I think if I used it more often I'd look orange. Using it about every other day works for me, though. I find that it doesn't streak and dries fairly quickly. If I want more color on my legs (for when I wear shorts) I use L'Oreal's self tanner but I'm not thrilled with their new version...but that's another story. I would recommend this product if you want a little color that looks...well, natural!

Been using this product for 3 years now and I will contiue to buy. It's a gradual tanner so don't expect results after first use. Expect to see more tanner skin after 4 days. Color is great, not streaky and very natural looking. Smells nice and clean at first but after a few hours you start to notice it fading away and the slight smell of self tanner comes out. But don't worry its not super strong and noticable. Again I will def repurchase as long as they make this stuff. I mainly use it on my legs and it works great!!

I have a medium/light skintone, but I use the medium/tan jergens express. I have the entire line of Jergens and colors! I first used the Medium formula of Express, and had a sweet glow! I also used the daily glow lotion in medium and barely saw results! I love how fast it dries, especially if you stand in front of a fan! 5 minutes tops, and DON'T USE ALOT OF THE LOTION, just a drop will do it! I also have the Loreal Luminous bronzer, but didn't have good results with it probably because I didn't exfoliate evenly, or rubbing the lotion in so hard, the light reflecting particles rubbed the skin off...IDK? Well, I bought the medium/dark, and used it for 3 days, and I look like a SUBTLY tanned woman! One shade darker! Awesome! It's NOT TOO BRONZE, but a NATURAL tan. It looks like it COULD POTENTIALLY turn orange if I over do it! I now ex foliate with an old school scrubbing brush in circular motions, PERFECT, you need to try it ladies! Then I apply lotion to my hands, ankles, top of toes, knees and elbows before applying with gloves(ALWAYS GLOVES, I learned my lesson time and time again!) I am going to try the regular daily glow lotion in med/tan, however I notice it contains DHA as the 3rd ingredient, which is WAY more DHA than the express-DHA is the LEAST/last ingredient, which is weird! But 1st, I'm going to try the Loreal luminous bronzer again tonight, after lightly ex foliating my 3rd day results of the express which I will review! Later Chicas!

I think I've tried every self-tanning product on the market at this point and sadly I can count on one hand how many times I've made repeat purchases. What I look for: believable, golden color that doesn't wash of in the shower and doesn't make me look like I have a skin disease when it fades. Jergen's Natural glow provides all of the above for me but unfortunately it made me break out in an AWFUL rash which took weeks to heal. If you don't have sensitive skin, give it a try because the color is gorgeous.

I received a sample of this in the mail in the version meant for your face. It was in the medium-tan color option, which is the darker of the two I've seen. I'm on the pale side, so I was hesitant to actually use this on my face, and I went with my legs instead as a tester. I am SO glad I thought to do this. The tube says it will be a very gradual change, but this is not the case (and probably enhanced by my paleness to begin with). My legs are a few shades darker after one application! They are also streaky, but I always get that with tanning lotion, and I honestly didn't think much change would occur in the color, so I probably didn't rub it in as well as I could have. What was great is that the lotion doesn't have that horrendous tanning lotion stink while I was applying it (which also let me to believe the color would be minimal) and I could really only smell it at the end of the day. That's a pretty big leap forward. When I used the version actually meant for the body last summer, it smelled to high heaven. I would repurchase the facial version for use on my body if it was ever on a good sale or I had a coupon, but I generally prefer the sprays.

i'm fair, NC 15/20. i don't tan, but now that it's summer, i want a golden tan look. I got the reviatlizing natural glow in medium/tan. you are able to put this all over your body, face included. i have very sensitive, acne prone skin, and i've had NO problems with this.

first, i like the smell! it's nice, faint, but feminine.you just apply it like you're applying regular lotion. you don't have to worry about lines. it's very easy to apply and looks very natural afterwards. i apply it at night, it dries very fast. just make sure you blend it everywhere evenly and thoroughly. the next morning, i hav e nice tan glow, very natural. not orange at all!!! not fake looking at all!!! it works perfect. i only need to apply it every 2 or 3 days to maintain. it's a great price too. i got a 25% more in bottle at target for $7.99. i love this! i did notice in the sun it gives the slighest sheen, not glimmery or sparkly, just a nice glow, literally. it moisturizes the skin, but doesn't leave it greasy or too hydrated, it sinks into skin, but you're still able to apply makeup afterwards.

I currently use the FIRMING formula of Jergen's Natural Glow line. I already have naturally tan skin but the skin-tone of my legs were quite different from upper body (I blame the winter season). I have been using this particular formula for the past two weeks and have most definitely seen a difference in skin-tone & texture. The smell of the product is bearable -- not my number one choice, I prefer fresh scents, however, it's quite do-able. I would HIGHLY recommend this product, as long as the CORRECT color tone for YOUR own skin color is chosen.
