I have been using Bronze Goddess by EL for 10 years... Maybe longer.

I have used the loose and the pressed. I stick with the pressed to use as an option for blush on my face during winter months. My skin is fair but warm based so this blends wonderfully with my skin tone. During the summer the loose powder is fantastic on my arms and upper chest area when I don't want to get a tan the natural way. I like the gentle glow and it stays on me not on my clothes. Well... lets just say I do not put this on while wearing a white top.

EL is pricey that would be my only con everything is great in this bronzer.

Pros
Works great with my now dry skin (i used to have oily combo skin and this worked fine then too)
does not change color. Some bronzers turn yellow orange when they mixes with the oils in your skin. This does not. Stays true to color.
Colors lasts (I would say it is almost an extended wear of color)

I continually search for bronzers that do not look orange on my fair complexion,or oxidize after a couple of hours. This fits the bill beautifully! It is in a lovely huge compact (that lasts for ages) and is a very pretty shade on the skin. Really warms up my face without looking dirty.
I have the "soft shimmer" version, as I like a little shimmer...but it is by no means over the top sparkly,just nice and glowy. Very lightweight, buildable colour that stays true all day. A must for all seasons for me! Highly recommended.

Best bronzer I have ever used!! Its long lasting and a great shade for my very fair skin, not orange at all. I think it has the perfect amount of shimmer also. Despite being a little on the pricey side, there is a lot of product, and I would repurchase!

Love this. Perfect for light skins; it is sheer, easy to layer, foolproof.


Good natural bronze tone without any orange. Great also for contouring. No shimmer.

This is a great bronzer! Very big at 21g! Good price ($40 CDN). It is a nice non orangy bronze. Will repurchase!

I love this bronzer! It is one of the few bronzers that gives me the natural sunkissed glow, not the orangey color. I love how it is such a huge compact too. Also it stays on all day! :)

LOVE this product! Its nicely packaged, wears beautifully, naturally and easy to build. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear in Wheat and finish my face with this soft shimmer Bronzer. It never looks bad on anyone and never has that 'dirty' finish and is very matte. It will last about a year depending on usage. I finish my 'look' using the M.A.C 187 fan brush...You cannot go wrong with this Bronzer.

My mom got a sample of this, which I immediately stole. As soon as it got low, I ran to the store to get more. The full-size version is like a huge sun dial! Not the most ideal packaging, but this is THE BEST bronzer I have ever used. Totally natural glow without any crazy shimmer.

This is my HG bronzer right now. It gives me such a wonderful glow without making me look like a pumpkin. I have fair skin with yellow undertones and find that this works better than most bronzers I have tried.

* this is for the soft matte bronzer * I really like this bronzer, but I doubt or I should be using bronzers in general. This was my first one. I had searched everywhere for a matte bronzer because I hate to have glitter in everything. I basically wanted it for shaping. I really like the tone but I'm not sure or bronzer is for me. I look fast overdone. The shade is perfect for pale girls; not too orangy or sparkly or muddy. Just nice, sheer but buildable. So I have mixed feelings about me using bronzers, but I do believe this bronzer is a very good one. This one will last me forever and packaging is great. Nice brush.

Definitely the best bronzer for me. It isn't too shimmery at all and is very versatile to use either as a contour or all over face bronzer. The colour is gorgeous on my skin tone NW20.

I absolutely love this product. I sold Estee Lauder a few years ago and got hooked on it. We put it on everybody and never came accross anyone who looked bad. I use it to contour and I have very fair skin, and it goes on light and is buildable. It is not sparkly even though it looks glittery in the compact, it goes on with a natural finish. Great bronzer. I use it every day. Lasts forever, too! It took me almost 2 years to go through one compact.

Ok So here is my problem. I initially bought "soft shimmer bronzing powder" and LOOOVED the colour but didn't really how shimmery it was until I brought it home thinking I had bought the matte. The colour was perfect on my fair skin but I really didn't want shimmer so I swapped it. Then I went and bought the "soft matte" which looked slightly darker but I wanted matte so gave it a try. The colour doesn't work quite as well and guess what...IT HAS SHIMMER! why oh why would a matte bronzer have shimmer in it! I wish I had kept my initial purchase bc the colour looked so much nicer on me. So now I'm out $80 CAD and still don't have the perfect colour. ARG! I'm tempted buy the shimmer one again but I really don't want to spend that kind of cash

*This review is for the Soft Matte Bronzing Powder* I guess the name of 'soft matte' means that it's not completely matte, if you see closely you will notice very fine shimmer in it, but it doesn't transfer to your skin once applied. So that's good. Unfortunately it didn't work for me, I'm a redhead w/ fair skin and brown eyes. I think the color turned out to be way too cool on me, giving me a dirty/muddy look :( But the worst part is that it accentuates my freckles! It makes them even darker! WTH! Never had a problem like this with any bronzer before! Not at all! That's why I'm giving this a low rating. I really wanted to like it, I tried different brushes and techniques, but nothing worked. Still the dirty/dark freckles look. Thumbs down.

THIS IS FOR THE SOFT-MATTE BRONZER. This is suchhh a nice product I love it! It's not completely matte, there's a really small amount of tiny shimmer, but once applied it's not noticeable at all. I have really pale skin, and usually bronzers look way too obvious and ridiculous on me, but this is so natural, it really does look like just a subtle shadow shaping your face - sooo lovely! but it's also very buildable I've noticed, yet still looks natural. NO ORANGE TINT! also the packaging is super cute, and I like how it doesn't come with a brush. love it!

After trying the body shop shimmering waves bronzer and now this I'm just having the worst luck - both products are great - the bronzer is really good at defing cheek bones and overall contouring as well as adding some colour after applying the double wear foundation I use - it's perfect for my olive skin tone and doesnt make me look orange....but it first started with a crack in the setting and now the bronzer has completely crumbled....its so annoying!!! I love the product but I can't stand this since its the 2nd time so will use up what's remaining and look for a stronger replacement :(

I love these liquid bronzers. I have bronze goddess in luminous liquid and Gold. The bronze one is nice on my pale skin for all year round and the gold is nice for a highlighter.Too bad they are LE.I would love to have Pearls too but I dont think we got it in Canada.

My HG bronzer. I love this stuff! It's a beautiful golden brown that gives you that perfect sunkissed look without turning muddy looking later in the day. I hope they keep making it forever!

I'll just start off by saying that I rarely would take the time to come on here and rate something but I gotta say this stuff is great! I have tried every bronzer out there from Victoria's Secret, Bare Minerals, and every drug store brand out there. They all look orange or just not "right" on your skin tone. I'm a darker olive with a Greek background and this stuff looks amazing on my skin. Like I said, it isn't orange and because it's not shimmery, it's not too much or obvious during these winte months. It goes on sheer so you can build up how much color you want. The compact seems durable enough to withstand abuse. For the price you get a ton of high quality product. I would try to buy it during gift time and wha-la you have an entire new makeup set so it kind of justifies the price! I highly, highly, highly recommend this stuff.
