This product is OK, it doesnt seem to clean well enough, and I haven't been using products on my hair lately so I know it would'nt work if I was doing that.

Well, let me start by saying that I would have bought this again IF they hadn't changed it. It used to smell different, and the bottles even said "compared to John Frieda". Now, they say compare to Tigi something and it smells entirely different AND isn't near as good!

The new stuff was not as nice, it made my hair incredibly dry and tangled. I wonder if JF pitched a fit or something over the "being compared to"??

If you can find the older versions, snatch it up. Otherwise I'd pass.

This shampoo smells good, but boy does it suck. It did nothing to make my hair color look better, and it dried my hair out so bad, I just had to throw it away.

The smell is unique, but really pleasant. I've been using this for a few months and my hair seems to love it. I color my hair once in a while to hide a few grays. This shampoo and the conditioner have not harmed my hair. Really happy with the scent, gentleness and price. Love it.

I love this shampoo. I love the John Freida products as well, but this does essentially the same thing for a lot cheaper. The smell is the exact same as the John Freida which is amazing. It is a very good deal.

This is my HG shampoo! My daughter and I have bought bottles of this stuff repeatedly. The smell is a slightly fruity, fresh scent (think more like green apples than banana or something sweet). The consistency is much like a clarifying shampoo in that it's a non-creamy, brown liquid. The shampoo lathers well, and it gets my hair so soft and shiny. I was previously using really high-end, moisturizing shampoos, and my hair was a frizzy mess. Once I started using this (with the matching conditioner), my hair smoothed out and got very shiny. I didn't realize how shiny my hair had become until I saw some pictures of myself. Before, my hair was all over the place, and lackluster. Now, it's visibly shiny in pictures, even if I haven't brushed it. My hair and scalp are so balanced. I can't say enough good things about this shampoo. For the price (less than two dollars!), it can't be beat!

I tried this a few months ago and wasn't too impressed....smelled nice other than that it was a basic shampoo nothing special. I wouldn't get again.

I'm very surprised on the good reviews on this product, because personally, I dislike this very much. It dried out my hair so bad and my hair is very unmanageable to deal with. It feels clean, but that's about it. My hair is naturally wavy and thick, so maybe that's why? Nevertheless, it was horrible and I wouldn't use this product again.

My new favorite shampoo! My hair has slightly oily roots and dry ends. I normally use shampoos designed for normal hair and a moisturizing conditioner, but since it's warm outside now, I needed a more cleansing shampoo. This works great. My hair is very clean now but not too dry. I've been using this shampoo with Pantene's brunette conditioner. I may have found my HG shampoo and conditioner combo. Now, I don't know if this shampoo actually does anything for my hair color or not but it does look shiny. Overall, it's a good, basic shampoo and it's cheap.

Liked the smell, but didn't notice it do anything different from the Coconut shampoo and conditioner I use. And it was a bit greasy. I'll stick to the coconut shampoo and conditioner since I use it also as a body wash and lotion. I like products that are multi-purpose.

I've never dyed my hair and have never used any color-enhancing shampoos. This made my hair shinier and lightened my hair for the two weeks I used it. Unfortunately, it also made my skin break into a rash. Too bad, because it smelled fantastic and left my hair clean and light.

I used to use the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and I loved it. I didn't have enough money with me one day when I needed to get some new shampoo, so I tried this Suave Radiant Brunette shampoo. It's exactly the same! It smells the same, works the same... except Suave is under $2, and the John Frieda was about $5. If I'm going to get the same results, I'd rather save a few bucks doing it... I highly recommend this!

I have been using the suave brunette shampoo and conditioner for a few months now, and am amazed how much the products have changed my hair! My unruly, curly frizzy hair is soo soft and shiny after having used this. I can't say I noticed much of a change in my color, but I have dreamed about having smooth glossy hair and this product duo (since I use both the shampoo and conditioner, I can't say whether I'd attribute the benefits to one over the other) has really delivered! Plus it has a pleasant, clean smell and you can't beat the price...I've even seen it in dollar stores, too!

For the price, I can't complain about this product. As advertised, it cleans hair. I don't know that it didn't anything magical for the color of my hair, but it was two bucks, how much are we supposed to expect? It lathers and cleans. I won't be buying it again because the texture of my hair has changed and I'm in dire need of some serious professional repair products. No more drugstore brands for me.

I'm not sure about this stuff. To me, it's a basic shampoo that cleanses hair. I haven't really noticed much of a difference in my hair from using it and I'm not that fond of the scent. But I will use this up and I may purchase it again someday.

I'm somewhat surprised at the good reviews for this product. I tried it and found that it seemed to be very harsh and drying to my hair, and I saw none of the advertised benefits to my brunette hair. (Currently I'm using the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, with the color glaze as well, and I am seeing the advertised color and shine enhancements, though I guess I don't know whether it's the glaze or the shampoo and conditioner that are doing it.) It really seemed as if the whole "especially for brunette" thing was a scam and the shampoo was the same as other Suave shampoos -- which almost always dry my hair out and make it feel coarse and strawlike. It got it nice and clean, at least.

This is fine as a shampoo: it cleans nicely and my hair feels good after using it. However, it stripped my color over several washings. I won't buy it again.

This stuff is NOTHING like John Freida brilliant brunette shampoo/conditioner...as John Frieda is CRAP and this stuff is WONDERFUL.

My hair is so bouncy and so shiny after using this shampoo and conditioner...I have had pretty good luck with Suave shamps/conds...and for less than $2 a bottle, I don't mind trying out new kinds. this one is DEFINITELY a keeper though.

I hate the way this shampoo makes my hair feel. Immediately after I use it I have to slather on the conditioner (which actually works quite well) because it makes my hair's texture like straw. I'm naturally dark brown, but went a lighter brown and when my roots started growing in I dyed it back to my natural color and wanted a shampoo designed for darker hair colors to prevent it from fading, but I think this shampoo faded my color after one use more than my previous shampoo that wasn't designed for colored hair. I've started using a small amount only around my roots to get rid of oil and build-up. It also has an overwhelming chemical scent.

After I run out of the conditioner, I'm ditching this product.
