BEST TREATMENT EVER FOR ACNE! I had severe acne, meaning about 60-70 highly inflamed pimples, which included dozens being cysts. And with three months of following the regimen outlined in detail on acne.org I was completely clear. Amazing. Check out the site, you will not regret it. I am still 100% clear almost one year later!

This is the only Benzoyl Peroxide in 2.5% that comes in large packaging and an easy to apply creme consistancy. I tried Neutragena's spot treatment that also has 2.5%, but it's thicker and doesn't spread over my skin and absorb clear like this one. This is the only thing that keeps my skin under control. I've used this since November last year (7 months).

I like Acne.org's treatment because it is made with ingredients that really target acne and does not have added 'fluff" as i like to call it. Dan's regimen suggests that you apply ALOT of treatment onto your face, the more the better. I have to disagree because everyone's skin is different. With that being said, i enjoy using this treatment and i have seen dramatic results in my skin complexion. Acne has reduced and there is less redness. No complaints here.

Love it and I wish I had tried this 20 years ago. Just try it and FALLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Dan Kern has you tube videos to explain about irritation and how to put it on.
The only thing I will add is that it doesn't work over night. You have to give it about 6 months. At first your skin is dry as balls. It's a major issue to work with actually. I never used the oil and that might help, but after years of breaking out I didn't trust it. I compensated by not using make up and putting the lotion on about 5 times a day. After a few months the dryness calms down and you slowly start to glow. I only use mascara now and get all kinds of compliments.
There is something called the "Acne.org mindset" and I agree with that. The mind set is mostly another word for patience. It takes time but it can work great if you stick with it.
I think sometimes (and I do this, I am a gall who LOVES new products) you want to try every thing and before you know it your skin is a big mess and you can't tell what's bad and what's working.
Give yourself 6 months of a gentle wash (I used cleataphil before I switched to the acne.org cleanser) The BP 2 times a day and a good lotion. (I used ceval and hated it. I use the acne.org lotion now. It's a great price and super gentle.) And don't pick at your skin! I was self conscious so I would touch my face and before you know it, a big zit.
Good price. Love the gel texture. Easy to use.
Only down side is that it will bleach your clothes if your not careful. You need to wash your hands before and after you use it. (You never realize how much you touch till you have bleached finger print stains on it.)

To put it simply, I didn't like this at all. It was too runny and I didn't feel like this was effective at all. I bought it for my body acne and it didn't prevent breakouts or get rid of the active ones. I'm disappointed since I had to order Dan's products online as I'm in the UK but Atleast I gave it a go! I still have loads of this bp left so I guess if m desperate and I have no other spot treatments to turn to, I might use this. I prefer drugstore brand bp by oxy that works way better than this!

I've been struggling with acne for about 6 years. I have tried everything from proactive to accutane and nothing worked for me. I not only have acne but i have acne scarring from constant breakouts. I have tried every product under the sun and was starting to accept the fact that i would probably need a laser treatment to not only clear up my skin but the scars. ( luckily my scars are not very deep, when i have makeup on you can't tell that i have scarring) I had read online a little about acne.org products and decided that it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I ordered mine off of Amazon.com ( they get it directly from Acne.org but you don't have to pay there crazy shipping.) WOW. i've only been using this stuff for a week and i can't believe how great my skin feels/ looks. My skin doesn't look as red and my zits are completely dried out. It looks like my acne scars are starting to get more skin coloured as well. I will continue to use this product and so far am very happy. I've used Benzoyl Peroxide for years so i do have to say that my skin is not very dry( i also have crazy oily skin), Every night i've been using the cream along with Bio Oil and that's been helping as well. In a couple weeks i will write another review to see if its still as amazing.

I love this product so much that holy grail seems like an understatement. Without it, I really would break down and cry. I have been using this since 2008, and nothing has ever come close to it. For the heck of it I have tried other BP treatments throughout the years, from Oxy, Clean & Clear, etc., and they all dried out my skin instantly and broke me out more. I've learned not to stray from this, because it just doesn't fail. It is a miracle in a bottle if you are consistent with it. The gel is light and gentle on my skin, I know it is varies with everyone but personally I find any drying to be very minimal with this product compared to others, and I use it with a strong BP cleanser (X-Out.. and which isn't recommended for the regimen, whoops :P), and I still have little to no dryness combining it with this treatment. The amount of BP is perfectly effective without being overboard and I'm thankful for Dan Kern's help on how to properly cleanse and treat your skin too as he instructs on their website. I have learned a lot from his method, and while my skin isn't completely and flawlessly clear (diet and hormone related acne, typically), this helps control it unlike anything else. When I routinely use this, I never have to worry about about some sudden, massive breakout. If I slack on using this, it is a totally different story and I know this is what makes the difference.

So I have been using this product consistently for about 4 years now and have not looked back!! BP is pretty much the only thing that keeps my face clear. I have very sensitive skin but BP is so affective for me that I only need to use about a dime size amount for my whole face. Dans recommendation of how much you need to use is in my opinion WAY too much, your skin would be so dry. I find dryness alone causes my skin to break out the most. So you really should only use a little (dime size) keeping that in mind I ALSO use a tea tree oil. So I will apply the BP and after it dries about a minute I put a gentle tea tree oil just over my problem areas (not over my really sensitive areas) and this keeps me almost perfectly clear minus during my period sometimes I will have one or two small blemishes. If you suffer from acne like I did for years this regimen will cure you NO DOUBT! Read below:
gentle face wash
apply dime size BP
once dried apply tea tree oil (young living essential oil is the purest and the best)
then apply a fragrant free moisturizer (preferably organic)
And your done!! This has kept me perfectly clear, no joke, but also find a moisturizer that is heavy but oil free to clear up that dry skin.
ALSO I don't eat any dairy at all. I avoid it like the plague because of the hormones cause me to break out so I am allergic I guess but I don't miss it much! I know this to be true because I went to the dermatologist and was tested and he also recommended me BP so thanks be to the skin specialists!

I am 27 years old now and I started getting mild acne after giving birth 2 years ago. I tried the proactiv and it worked wonders on my skin but after awhile of using it, my skin became immune and it had no effect to new hormonal acne which would appear once or twice a month. I tried using benzoyl peroxide + erythromycin cream which was given to me by my mom in law. together with retina and that helped clear up my skin except for my forehead. I had tiny bumps and they were really stubborn! I just couldn't get rid of it. I wouldn't say it was that bad but I really just wanted my clear skin back. As in 100% clear skin which led me to try acne.org regimen.
I have to say, this was probably one of the bad decisions I have made. :( it seemed to clear my forehead at first (at least that's what I thought). But acne started appearing all over my face! On my cheeks and chin mostly. It's just awful! The cleanser was very mild but the treatment stung a bit and the moisturizer...that's the worst. It made my skin burn! I have never experienced such an uncomfortable feeling on my face ever. It's also weird since my skin is so used to benzoyl peroxide that I would be experiencing burning. It also made my pores big and visible! even my husband who never says anything negative about my skin said they did become big.
Anyway, I will not recommend this regimen for people with MILD acne as I believe this treatment is very VERY strong. Now my whole face feels rough. :( this product worked miracles on other people but it's definitely a No no for me,

The countless different methods I have tried to get clear skin and I always come back to benzoyl peroxide, because it WORKS.
I was using the 10% generic Walgreens version for a while, however 5 dollars adds up when you consistently go through a small 1oz tube every couple of days.
I was nervous not having used a lesser percentage of benzoyl peroxide but the bigger size and price point were looking better and better, and eventually I just ordered it and ugh thank god I did. It is SO much less irritating with literally the exact same benefits; clearer skin!
I just turned 20 a couple weeks ago, and I still suffer from acne. Its much less agressive now but when it wants to come full force, it will without hesitation and I think we have all been there.
The trick with using this, specifically, is that you do need a generous amount. Ive used this for 4 nights now, and not being a stranger to benzoyl peroxide, I did just that! And the big size lets you use as much as you want without worry.
Yes it dries your skin out, and yes it it makes you peel, thats just what it does and thats how it works.
Personally I don't mind the peeling because it rubs off fairly easily in the shower and my skin is so smooth and fresh looking afterwards.
The breakout I was having subsided after the second night! Remember use a GENEROUS amount, you will be glad you did!
Really, though, this is the best bang for your buck, and your skin. You do need to be consistent with this but honestly slathering your face with this every night and dealing with a bit of dry skin (hello moisturizer???) is just a small price to pay for better self-esteem and self image which can be severely damaged because of acne.
Just order this, it works. seriously.

In three days, I will have been using this for 4 weeks. While it did clear up a lot of the cystic pimples I had on my chin, I am still getting new cystic pimples when one goes away. I don't know if I just haven't been using it long enough. I was really hoping that my skin would be "amazing" like most other reviews were saying their skin was by week 4. Also, I've started to get pimples on my forehead and cheek. I've never got pimples there before. I put that I would buy this again because I am going to continue to use this for three months to see if I see any "amazing" result like the all the other lucky people. So I will update in three months or if I'm lucky and get great result, earlier!

I constantly am in a battle trying to find the best products to keep my moderate acne under control. Whenever I breakout from a product, I go back to this and acne.org's glycolic acid product ( AHA products like this are great for treating blackheads and achieving overall smoother skin ). I also use De La Cruz 10% sulfur ointment ( found in Latino sections at drugstores) for spot treatment after I pop pimples ( which I'm not supposed to do because it causes scarring, but can't help it!) The only reason I keep trying to look for other products is because I have very dry but also oily skin...and when using this product you have to use ALOT. It takes forever to soak in and then to counteract the dryness that goes along with it, I have to load on Cetaphil's sticky moisturizing lotion (the only moisturizer that combats my dry skin). This makes my acne and dry skin under control, but it's frustrating because of how time consuming it is. Also, the Cetaphil makes my makeup go on weird. I find that I spend about an hour or a little more every morning just focusing on my face. And...Benzoyl Peroxide bleaches. So it works! But all the sife effects and other products I have to use along with it, is the reason why I keep searching for something different.
UPDATE 3/21
I recently purchased CeraVe moisturizing lotion to try instead of Cetaphil. It does not moisturize as well at all, but if I mix one pump of Cetaphil with one pump of Cerave, it's the perfect combination. It's like the Cerave cancels out the greasiness of the Cetaphil. I'm so excited this works!

Wonderful product! an 8 oz. tube costs $16.52 plus shipping, but it is nevertheless an excellent deal for how much you get. before using this, I started the acne.org regimen with Neutrogena On the Spot, which I found to be too drying. fortunately, acne.org's BP treatment is in a gel form that is not overdrying at all! it also can be used under makeup. I used to use mine twice a day but now just use it every night. now that I use this in my skincare regimen, my face is almost completely clear! but even when I forget to apply it for one night, my skin starts to break out a little, so I must be diligent with it.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. This product works. The whole line. An amazingly gentle, no-frills cleanser, effective BP and moisturizer that doesn't cause breakouts. At 42, I have tried EVERYTHING for my acne. Two weeks before writing this review, I dropped 85 dollars at the derm and left with a bunch of stuff that did nothing more than irritate my skin. I put all of that away, pulled out my Acne.org products and my breakouts began healing in days.
Nothing works like this. I have no idea why I stray because this is it.
Packaging is great. Shipping is fast. No animal testing.

I can see how this could work for people who don't have a sensitivity to BP, but I am sadly, not one of those people. BP, in any amount, ends up giving my skin red patches. I still use this as a spot treatment occasionally when I have a bad cyst or when I have a blemishes on my back.

So.... I'm writing a review to caution people against the long term uses of BP...
Once my skin got used to BP it was like my HG... My skin was amazing... Even my derm was like woah...For about 2 years.
Here is the problem.... NO MATTER HOW MUCH moisturizer you use, yours skin will be constantly dry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This means a)your pores get clogged b)your skin scars easily. AHA also gives you scars of you put it on pimples *FYI.
Really doesnt keep your skin that clear... you think its helping... Its not.
My skin now: Constant black heads that no amount of product for exfoliation with get rid of (only facials, which is so ridiciulous)
Hyper-pigmentation/brown spots
Cystic Acne once a month that leaves scars making me wear foundation for the first time in 15 years
ALL ACNE leaves scars that take 6+ months to go away!!!! With BP your skin straight stops healing.
Good LUCK!!!! Once you used it forever its terrifying to go off but seriously, acne that heals is better than spots and scars you have for LIFE.

This bp treatment cured me! Please give this a try if you are struggling with your skin. Check out the acne.org website and follow Dan's advice. I strongly recommend using all of the products in the regimen.
At 40 years old I started having severe cystic breakouts along my jawline, the side of my cheeks and occasionally around my mouth.
After googling 'acne' a million times trying to find answers, I clicked on this site that kept coming up and started reading. I was skeptical, but had nothing to lose. If I had before and after photos to show I would! This has been a miracle really, I am so grateful to Dan.
I nave never written a review on anything, but I feel this is so important! The regimen works!

I bought this treatment about 3 months ago when my skin was HELL. I didn't use it right away as I was terrified because it is a very strong product. I didn't want dry, red, flaky skin. I didn't want my skin to become worse. I was feeling so helpless!
Finally, I gave in and started using this treatment. WHY DIDN'T I USE THIS SOONER!?Seriously, it's been 2 weeks and my skin looks AMAZING! It wasn't red, or irritated which I was so thankful for but it is a little bit dry. I know it's because I used a very small amount (much smaller than what Dan recommends). And I would lather a very good moisturize over top. Cetaphil cream rocks!
This treatment is by far the best acne treatment I have ever used. And I have used everything. Salicylic acid, glycolic acid, honey, aspirin masks, and even retin-a! Buy it, you will not regret it. BUT, less is more when applying it!

To anyone who has struggled with acne breakouts in the past, I would 110% recommend the Acne.org range to you. I tried absolutely everything, even natural remedies like garlic to try and stop my skin from breaking out, but until I discovered the miracle that this treatment is absolutely nothing worked. Whilst I suffered from harmless breakouts in an oily T-zone during highschool, my skin started breaking out quite badly on my cheeks as soon as I turned 18. I became extremely self conscious and upset about it. Firstly, this is a treatment that requires a dedicated skin routine - ESPECIALLY when it comes to taking off makeup and having cleansed, fresh skin before you go to bed each night. In saying this, I slightly disagree with others saying that you must meticulously follow the regime outlined on the Acne.org wesbite, as I haven't and still have achieved (close to) flawless skin. I find that applying lots of treatment all over my face dries my skin significantly, so at any sign of dry skin I will simply use the treatment as a 'spot gel', and only apply to affected areas rather than my whole face. Sometimes I only cleanse in the morning, as I find the treatment can affect the way my makeup looks throughout the day, so that can also be another tip. I would warn people who are about to try this product as the first 2 weeks were hell - dry, flaking, itchy, red skin is not fun at all. But in saying that, I stuck with it, and to be honest it has been the best beauty purchase I have ever, ever made. It clears any signs of pimples 100% faster, it still leaves my skin feeling soft and great, and it isn't too strong or overly harsh. I have never been so grateful for a product in my entire life, it has given me so much confidence back, and I now leave the house without a hint of makeup on my face, something I would have never done before I started using the treatment.
I use the treatment after cleansing my skin with the Clean & Clear foaming facial cleanser, and finish up with the Cetaphil facial moisturiser. Despite what the website suggests, I use heavy MAC makeup (foundation, powder, the works) and haven't had any problems with breakouts, I just make sure I remove every trace of the stuff before I go to bed! To anyone with acne problems, you will not regret buying this at all, just stick with it and trust the process! x

It took a long time, but this really works. I started taking birth control in August, and it made my skin EXLPODE. I've had moderate acne since I was 13, oil and bumps mostly, but with bc I had big, deep pimples forming every day, scabs all over my face. I desperately searched the internet for an answer, and read that benzoyl peroxide is one of the best over the counter medications. This lead me to acne.org, and I've been on the regimen for 5 months. My skin is now smooth and clear, thanks to this stuff, though a bit dry and irritated in the harsh winter weather.
