I would most likely like this a lot better if I got a good color match, but
unfortunately the SA talked me into 11 and it is about a shade too light for me.
I don't blame the makeup, I blame the SA and myself in particular, as I am a perfect 115 in the HD and putting 11 and 115 side by side in the store, they were not very close. When the SA put 11 on me, it seemed fine. Well, put a small amount on or blend, blend, of course it will look ok under store lighting. I actually will be returning this to get the HD again, or I might look at color 1, to see if it is a better match... this was the color I went into Sephora to purchase until the SA said to use 11.. For reference I am a very pink NW20.

As far as the formula goes, it isn't anything really special as far as "lift"
goes, but it does blend well and is nicely emollient for my dry, mature skin. As it is getting harder and harder to find pink based (not PEACH) foundations for dry skin, without any irritating SPF, IF I get a good shade match, this is worth $44. Without a match, I suggest if you are dry skinned, get the HD and put an emollient moist. or SPF underneath, as I have been doing.

Love this! My skin is really dry and tight..it sometimes feels unbearable. This moisturizer is very moisturizing. It is the first dewy foundation I've tried that hasn't broken me out. It looks extremely natural, and gives I'd say medium coverage. I only put on a small amount, so can't say whether it would provide more coverage with more.
The only thing is because of the pump packaging, you end up wasting a lot of product since more comes out than intended. Also, I hate the glass bottle..as I'm always afraid of it breaking.

This is a really nice and natural looking foundation that give a very fresh and clean looking complexion. I was surprised at the consistency of this foundation, I expected it to be a much thinner formula. I still find the best way to apply this is with your finger tips, which is how the website suggest you apply it. The foundation has a matte finish despite the fact it claims to be a dewy. I find this foundation to be medium to full coverage however it really does give a natural look. I feel It makes my skin look very youthful. Compared to the HD formula it is much more matte and I find there is a better color selection for my skin coloring

The best foundation I've ever tried...but also the most expensive!
I never tried the MUFE HD so I can't compare. But I have normal skin with some dry patches and this is perfect for me. It gives a dewy finish and I sometimes will powder my T Zone. The color selection is not so great in my opinion and mixing two shades could get really expensive.
The packaging in this can be really tricky to travel... I don't really know if I would travel with mine, just cause it looks it might break a lot easier than other type of bottles. And it's expensive so... I prefer just leaving mine home, where I know it's safe haha :D
So if you have normal, dry, combination or mature skin, and if you are willing to spend $44 on a foundation, go for it.

For reference, I am NW10 (hard to match!) and no.11 was a perfect shade match. The next palest shade is #1, and it is significantly more yellow. That said, I have mixed feelings about this foundation. Applied carefully, I get high medium coverage, very evened skin tone, and barely the need for concealer. The finish is actually more matte than dewy, which is interesting because this formula has the reputation of being moisturizing. MUFE F&B is lighter coverage, lighter feeling formula with a more dewy finish. Surprisingly, Liquid Lift is just okay, but not great on dry skin IME. It is best applied over my regular day moisturizer. Also, I have no problems layering this over my SS either. It is quite tenacious and lasts all day without even a setting powder. Okay, the cons: Application is tricky and the formula is not actually very buildable. I would like to apply more to my forehead, however you can't use more than a little bit (I'm talking drops) on any given area or you will look truly cakey. Forget the dotting on all over with a q-tip and then blending all at once method. I've found I have to work quickly and carefully by facial area. This is because the foundation immediatly adheres to any texture flaw on your face, from peach fuzz to a dry patch. So in using this on my forehead (where I have some skin discoloration), I can only apply a small amount and I have to work very quickly with my fingers to spread and blend, which seems to warm up the formula and make it more workable for a short time. I have to be careful to not apply too much or I will end up with it quickly caked in my hair line or any stray light hairs above my eyebrows. It also dries and looks streaky if you don't blend super fast. The final finish is not what I hoped. It looks a tad mask like in fact. No dimension or glow. Because of this and the difficulty in applying, I won't be repurchasing. I think I will experiment with with Koh Gen Do's Moisture formula in 001 next. This will not be for a while though because a 1 oz bottle of liquid lift will last a very long time.

I finally plunked down the dough for a bottle and while I think $44 dollars is quite steep, I could easily spend as much in a fruitless effort fto find a cheaper alternative. So, even though this is the most I've ever spent on a bottle of foundation, it's also the best one I've tried. First, I have dry skin that needs lots of moisture. Liquid Lift is a moisturizing formula that feels good on all day. Second, I break out from most foundations, but somehow this not caused any pimples or clogged pores. Third, I'm pale (NW15) and color matching can be difficult. Shade #11 is spot on. Now, let's talk about the formula... it's medium to full coverage with a natural finish, easily blendable with fingers, sponge, brush you name it. The best part is that it looks completely natural, like my skin but better. No obvious pores, streaks or cakiness. Yup, I'm pretty happy with this one, I think it's a keeper and I see myself buying it again and again. Thank you MUFE!

Finally I found my HG foundation.
1. Perfect colour for my too pink to be yellow and too yellow to be pink neutral skin. The MUA chose #2 for me which I thought would be too light bc of the name (ivory) but it is perfect. For reference I am NW25 or NC30 in MAC. It has not oxidised on me so I don't look like I am wearing a mask. (I love MAC foundations but I always end up looking either too orange or too pale).
2. Looks amazing on your skin. I tried the MUFE HD and hated how it looked (in my opinion the HD sits on your skin, makes pores bigger) Not this, it looks beautiful on and your face just looks perfect. Not completely matte or dewy -somewhere in between. The website states it lifts and is suitable for 'mature' skin - I agree as it smooths out fine lines.
3. Coverage: medium to full. Very buildable. I personally do not like putting it on very full but you definitely can.
I think this is also the foundation that Kim Kardashian orginally named on her blog. Liquid Lift was discontinued for awhile but they have brought it back.
I love it and if you are having a problem finding the perfect foundation, run don't walk to the nearest Sephora and get a sample. You will not regret it.

I really like this product!I have dry(it is really not drying my skin,it's hydrating and it doesn't crease or look cakey) sensitive skin with acne and a bit of redness and discoloration.I have tried many foundations but this one is the best of 'em all!It gives me natural looking effect, like I am not wearing any foundation it,blends great with my skin,it's light-it doesn't feel heavy on my skin.It doesn't break my out or irritate my skin. It gives me medium coverage,it evens out my skin tone covers most of my redness and acne,blemishes...It's lightly scented which is not so bad since people always compliment how I smell nice(even when I don't have perfume on).If u have skin like mine I'd totally recommend u buy this product(I don't know for oily skin though),you will just need to put a bit of primer so that it does't come off and it stays on longer, and looks even better and after it a bit of concealer on bigger acne, acne scars or redder areas.

This foundation is amazing. I have been using this for the past 3 years. Unfortunately they discontinued the No. 6 which was a perfect match to me. Apart from that I now use No. 5 and blend giorgio armani sheer fluid no. 3 to give that dewy look.

I got this about a week ago but I already LOVE IT!!!!! I am extremely pale and I could never find a color light enough for me but I finally found it with this foundation!!
This foundation is amazing!! I've got tons of compliments since I've started using it!
I would say its probably light to medium coverage. I use about 3-4 pumps in each use. (More than I would like but I'm working on using less!)
If you like a lot of coverage or you have a lot of acne this may not be for you. But if you have a good concealer this for your problem areas its still perfect. Its exactly what I have been looking for. Not tons of coverage but enough to cover my redness! If i have a pimple or two I will just use my concealer!
This has not broken me out at all!!! Which is awesome!! of course!
The price is 41$ which isn't horrible but I wont be using it on the weekends and on breaks (unless I'm going somewhere nice!) The price is definitley making me want to use 3 pumps MAX! but I have to work on that!!
Love this foundation! Definitley will repurchase!! :)

I wanted to try a MUFE foundation, I had intended buying HD foundation as I had heard good things about it, however when I told the make up artist that I had very dry skin she recommended this one to me. She also colour matched me and although I am quite pale (NC 20) the colour she choose for me was too pale and too pink (the number came off the bottom so Im not sure which colour it is) so right from the start this foundation looked a little funny on my skin, My second problem was that althought this foundation was given to me because of my dry skin I found it didn’t help at all and just sat on my skin and it clings to dry patches. I do not think that this foundation is long lasting at all, I wore it to work today and it had worn off by half one. I have to say for a product of its price I was disappointed.

This is my first foundation, and I'm happy to say it didn't break me out like I'd feared.
I used to be thinking potential HG, love the consistency, coverage falls short though. It's smooth but not way too thick, It doesn't feel caky, but then again I don't build it up a lot.
I'd recommend building it up in layers, and not using a lot per layer, as it can go blotchy pretty easily.
Great longevity, stays on my face all day and is easy to wash off at night. Love the packaging, the pump is a great way to control how much your using.
I'm a #9, ivory, and the color fits my face perfectly. They have a great range of colors.
If your looking for matte, this isn't the foundation for you. Without setting powder, it's not matte at all, and with it only lasts a while.
The coverage is okay, it won't cover my freckles, will cover redness and make your skin even toned. Settles into smile lines though, which is annoying. I'd buy this again, but it's not perfect to the point where I'd stop looking for new foundations.

I bought this because I had read so many reviews and raves on multiple websites (not to mention KK said it was her fav). I shelled out the $40 @ my local sephora and although I like it, I don't LOOOOVE it. I got it in #127 and since it has a yellow base, it cancels out the redness around my nose and chin. I apply it with a sephora brush for coverage, but I have to say, I need to really work it on in order for it to look right- I think i will either use my fingers next time or just a cosmetic sponge. As far as the coverage goes, it does a good job covering up MOST of my imperfections, hyperpigmentation and red spots, but I still need to use a concealer for my darker spots on my cheeks. I don't like the fact it tends to flake by the end of the day, although I use not only a primer, but also a powder to set it. I may need to play around with it to see what combo works best for my combo/dry skin. I love the pump feature and wish all of my foundations come in a pump.

Love this foundation.
It's very easy to apply. I generally use 3 pumps of it for my whole face and neck but I do realize that I could use just 2. It's a creamy texture that glides on super fast and evenly.
The coverage is very good, I have loads of pinkish acne scars on my chin and this covers them perfectly without having to cake it on. If I get a new pimple (which is darker red) I just dab a teeny little bit more on like you would do with concealer. I also add a bit more for my faint under-eye circles.

The SA said this was good for dry skin. I don't really know where I stand on that. Generally I apply plenty of moisturizer before putting the foundation on but some times I'm too lazy to moisturize and I feel that the foundation is a bit harder to apply, it doesn't glide as easily, but you still get good coverage and it doesn't cake. It just takes a bit more work.

The colour is quite natural although it's not an exact match with my skin colour (they don't have the correct colour for me.. boo *snif*) I think it's a tad too dark and slightly too pink but no one seems to notice it and a lot of people tend to think I'm not wearing foundation at all (in a good way!-- I hope)

The packaging: it's a bottle with a pump on top. There's plenty of product in it (30ml--1.01fl.oz). My bottle lasts several months and although it's quite expensive (IMO) there is more product than the YSL foundation I used to buy so overall I'd say it's cheaper...
I'm on my 3rd bottle right now.
So the main reason I gave this a 4 is there is no exact match for my skintone and you def need to moisturize before using this (well you should anyway no matter the foundation). Other than that, a great foundation.

God damn it! I wanted this to work. It didn't.
HD foundation showed up and made new flakes on my face, so I brought it back, stated my complaint and was told this would be better for dry skin. Nope!
Flakes and pores ahoy!
I use it once a week or so, just cos its there. Number nine. It's a bit yellow, but what the hey, I temper it with powder.
It's a bit Mac scupt (also makes my skin flake) in texture. A gel-like quality. The pigment level is medium and a primer helps.
But why I should NEED a primer? A foundation used to be just that - the foundation, the canvas. Needing a primer doubles the price of your base.
The right base should have a perfect texture for your skin, right?

I bought this because I heard it's Kim Kardashian's foundation and I absolutely love her make up.

Pros:
Medium to Full Coverage (if you need that kind of coverage, gives a very finished look)
Long lasting (You just need to touch up with powder after 6 hours, and you will seem refreshed)
Photographs well

Cons:
Too much coverage (I'm looking for a light coverage foundation)

Note: I've tried mixing 1 pump MUFE Liquid Lift + 3 pumps moisturizer and I have a sheerer, better, lighter coverage foundation which does not look like I'm covering my face with a lot of make up. Although I really like it, I wouldn't repurchase it because I'm still looking for a natural looking, long-lasting foundation that photographs well. :)

I didn't start wearing foundation until my 30's. I started to get uneven colouring, perhaps from my pregnancies or because of eczema. I absolutely adore MUF F&B but wanted to also try something with more coverage. This worked great. I love the pump on it...which I wish F&B had and it does not dry out or make my eczema noticeable. In fact, with both this liquid lift and F&B, people would tell me that my skin looked great and would ask how I cleared up my eczema. My only issue with this is finding the correct colour. #4 matches my face perfectly but is lighter than my forehead. And now they've gotten rid of MUF counters in Sears Canada so I'll have to find it at the very limited Bay stores that they have or go to the US.

EDIT: I've actually tried #5 and that works perfectly.
---MUA caused me to panic when I read that this has been discontinued. It is NOT discontinued. In Canada it is only found at limited The Bay stores and Sears Canada no longer carries MUFE. Sephora does not carry the liquid lift foundations, but I've never actually ever seen it there. That's where probably the confusion lay. I frantically called and went to my Bay store that carries it and they were confused about where I had heard it was discontinued and assured me that it was not and that they had added more colours to the line so as far as they knew it was not going to be discontinued. Phew!

Update: Spring 2011: They have removed MUF counters from The Bay so I can no longer purchase this anywhere in Canada except for the MUF counter in Montreal. That's just too far of a treck for me to regularly go. It's probably for the better anyway since I am trying to go with more natural or safer ingredients in my make-up now.

all I can say about this product is I LOVE IT! reason for it because its applies on very smoothly & look's very fresh & dewy so if ur oily skin I dont recommand it! this foundation stays on for a very long time and I used the 180 mac brush to apply to my face. I did have to combine the 2 colours to get to match my skin #4 & #5 mind you the packing of the colour is not even labled on the bottom of the bottle. but overall of the item GREAT product!

i have just started using it being "seduced" by my friend who adores it. well, at this point wouldn't say it's worth such a high price, or perhaps it just doesn't match my skin-type. In areas where my skin is normal to dry, it looks pretty decently, but the T-zone gets oily fairly quickly and also the pores, spots and all other "beautiful areas" are not masked evenly. The texture works much better when you moisturize well before applying, otherwise it's too creamy and can cake up in some areas. i don't mind the smell at all, and the bottle is good too (a little heavy) but the pump is perfect. i have porcelain skin and number one is almost a good match, number two is already too yellow

i will give it a try because there WERE days when it looked very nice on me; however, i can get similar effect from a cheaper foundation (beauty for all season for e.g.)

I called the New York store and they said it is not discontinued. Everybody has called in to order thinking it is discontinued and so they are waiting for more stock from France. So you can still get it. You just have to go thru the MUF stores.

I love this foundation. I am not liking the new HD foundation. Anyway, this foundation gives you a dewey, clean look. Not powdery. I hope this stays around. I always get complements on my skin when I wear this. Not my makeup. That says alot.
