I love the smell of this and its feel on my skin. Sometimes I wear it during the day as well, as I can't find a really perfect day cream. I don't notice any additional skin benefits with any of these creams. I just think it's about how your skin feels while it's on. The packaging is OK but could be better. It's an awful lot of money, so I think Lancome could do better on all of the packaging of their creams.

I love this night cream. It's texture is silky and absorbs fairly quickly. The fragrance is beautiful and really relaxing after a night time shower. It moisturises my skin very well, doesn't clog my pores and has never caused my skin to break out. I highly recommend it.

Paraffin, petrolatum and the same old parabens... I would never put this stuff on my face. And they even named it "Primordiale"... This cream has the same composition of your average 1981 drugstore cream and delivers quite the same results at 11 times the price, so please, dear Lancome, bug off.

I like Lancome face cream because they really deliver results.

To be honest, I am a lazy girl! There would be 2 or 3 weeks that I did not put any cream at night, resulting my skin a bit dry.

But when I use Lancome face cream, within a week, my face feels hydrated and supple. But i feel the cream is a bit rich, cause having using it daily for 3 weeks, my t-zone starts to shine.

Overall, i think lancome face creams are good! =)

This night cream is awesome. It smells wonderful!! When i first used it I was afraid it would be too much, but it caused no break outs at all and my skin wasnt left greasy. In the morning my skin is very soft and clear. I think this is just great!

This product did not bother my sensitive skin and always delivered for me. It is the first face cream that I've actually used all the way to the end of the jar, because it did not cause any breakouts or problems. When I had my driest bouts after being on the ski slopes, the skin was smooth by morning. The smell is not bad, just reminds me of an "old lady" face cream smell, but you get used to it.

Basic cream. There's not much positive I can say about this. Did break me out quite a bit and I really hate the smell (is that barley or something?). If you have dry skin you might like this, but I prefer to use the day cream or Hydra Zen instead of this. Will not purchase (I got my jar in as a free sample).

I was captured by all your good news about this product...so I finally decided to purchase. I just got it yesterday and of course tried it the same night. OhMyToosh...this product is horrible! I woke up and was shocked to see my face! I had tiny pimples breaking out all over my forehead and my face looked sooooo oily! I have oily skin already and this product made it looked even worst! My bad news didn't end there. I went to work and all day my face kept breaking oil...more than so! I usually blot my face only 2-3xs during work but today, after using lancome optimum, i was literally blotting up 5-8xs!!!! I later found out Primordial Optimum Night has been discontinued. Maybe this the is the reason why i broke out so bad! It's been sitting on the counter for "who knows how long" and got contaminated. I'm too scared to purchase this product again! I'm going to return it.
(UPDATE:) I was not able to return this item because they claimed i had an allergic reaction..."what ever"...I know my skin! O-well. Lesson learned! After my skin broke out so horribly because of lancome "PON"...it lasted about 2 wks! I was SO sad! I decided to find a solution, instead of jumping in to buy new products bcuz i'm so tramautized...I decided to look for a cheaper and solution. I went out and bought "clean & clear astrigent for sensitive skin", it's supposed to help and prevent pimples...after a 2 days of use, my skin was more calm and so were the pimples! Then i decided to drink LOTS of water along with using clean & clear. I drink about 55oz of water per day at work, come home and wash my face, use C&C astrigent at least 3xs per day as directed. WORKED FABULOUS! It's been 2 weeks since my disaster and my face is CLEAR and FLAWLESS again! Water is the true "holy grail".

After using a drug store night cream for awhile, my skin was looking dull (and the stuff wasn't "cheap" either). So I took a chance, an expensive one at that, on this. I love it! The pores on my nose are not even noticeable now and my skin has a nice, healthy look to it. It is definitely worth the price.

I'm 23 yrs old, asian, with combination skin and I've never used night creams before since I break out from just using day creams, but I think I've found my HG for my night care routine. After having used it for over 2 months, it's really cleared up my skin and I do notice a certain glow in the mornings. It's supposed to reduce the first signs of aging, but I can't really say if it's done anything for the wrinkles that are starting to form around my eyes. But because it keeps my face clear and well moisturized, I'll definitely repurchase this product after I finish my first bottle. I'm probably about 1/4 of the done with the tub, so a little does go a long way. It's $64 here in the US, but you can find it cheaper on Ebay. The smell is overpowering, but I've gotten use to it over time. The benefits outweigh the costs!

I love this!

I'm 22, and I have oily skin with lots of comedones that annoy my because they're not "visible" enough for most people to acknowledge it as acne, and yet enough that you definitely can't say that I have great skin despite the even tone.

A long time ago I raided my mom's sample "bar" and found this. I used it that night and my skin cleared up almost overnight. No comedones, even skin tone, glowing, vibrant. I received tons of compliments on it.

Then alas, it ran out.

I went to the Lancome counter in a local departmental store and balked at the price. It comes up to about 256 ringgit (local currency) which is well, not out of my budget, but still a sizeable hole in my monthly expenses. I turned to a lot of cheaper creams, trying to find an alternative to my HG. None worked. Himalaya Herbals, pure sesame oil, pure jojoba oil, pure grapeseed oil (I'm on a healthy skincare kick), Eucerin, Origins, Oxy even.

Went to Manila for Christmas and New Year's and flying made my skin break out worse than ever. When I got back, it just got progressively worse.

Finally, I gave in.

Used it last night, and I'm glad to say, that RM256 was worth every cent. It's not totally clear yet, but it's just about halfway there with one application. I agree with the other reviewers... the smell is somewhat overpowering, but well. Can't have everything.

This product claims to address 'the first signs of ageing'. I'm 34 with no lines except under eyes but my skin is generally dull and a little dehydrated. I've been using this for a few months and I love how refreshed my skin looks the next morning. I think it's helped to restore a little vibrancy to my complexion too. The thick cream absorbs well and isn't to oily. I'm not crazy about the tub packaging, which I don't think is hygenic.

I have used Primordiale Optimum Night off and on for years. I have oily/combo skin, and this does NOT clog my pores or feel heavy at all. It is light, absorbs very well into my skin, and I find the scent soothing and nice. I always wake up with smooth, soft skin. It does what it claims it will do - it reduces fine lines on my face and around my eyes. It leaves my skin very soft and comfortable. I alternate with other night creams because I am forever on the look-out for a holy-grail-type-world-shattering-life-changing-miracle-cream that will transform my skin back into that of when I was 17 years old ..... but since I doubt I will ever find such a cream .... I always end up coming back to my Primordiale Optimum Night. But hope springs eternal, so I am sure I will keep on with my quest! haha! But as for Primordiale Optimum Night ... it is a very good, light night cream that is very effective and I would highly recommend it. :)

Lancome sells this cream for $64 US and states on the website: "Fight the first signs of aging in just 5 days. Developed with Beech Bud extract and Pro-Vitamin A, this daily night cream visibly reduces fine lines while improving skin texture and tone. Skin looks smoother, well rested and visibly younger".

Well, that is what I have - very fine lines, skin looking just not as fresh as it used to. No glow, dull...just blah. I tried a deluxe sample of this and it lasted me 2 weeks. My skin was rather dry so I used it in the day time as well since it really made my skin feel nice. It was rich yet not overly oily feeling, and sunk right in. It feels like a gel-cream. I tend to break out easily and this did not trigger anything.

I used to work for Lancome and really had no confidence in their skin care. So I was amazed when it delivered just what it promised. I actually bought a full jar. I am quite pleased. The only turn off is the intense fragrance - it is a pleasant musky rose smell but it is so overpowering that my SO noticed and says I smell like a fragrance counter when I come to bed :(
