What a disappointment. I bought two Redken hairsprays, neither of which I had tried before. I thought they would be good, based on the brand (and the price). Utter junk, in my opinion. The smell is hideous, and it doesn't go away a few minutes after using it, like many hairsprays. And the hold? Not much of that at all. Would never waste my money on this again. And I am done trying Redken hairsprays.

I waited for quite some time before i actually decided to write a review for this. First and foremost,i really hate the scent of this.It smells like one of those mosquito repellent coils. As to whether it holds my hairstyle..nope. I find myself using more than i needed to. Mmm..i guess i'm gonna stick to my PM hairspray.

really really bad for this price. Doesnt hold hair and weighs it down.

This used to be my favourite hair spray by far. I flat iron my hair and with other products could feel old hairspray even after a fresh hairwashing, but this one holds great and then washes out without anything left behind.
Unfortunately my latest bottle has 'fragrance added' on it, and it smells like bathroom freshner. Terrible! I could handle it except my allergies have gone crazy from it. Please, please Redken, drop the nasty fragrance and bring back the original version. This would have been a 5 but the smell's brought it way down.

I flat iron my hair and love how it looks sleek and chic. However, sometimes I want a messier look - not teased, but maybe a little tousled. I tried this hairspray and it just did not hold. I sprayed and sprayed, but the best I could get was for the ends of my hair to get splayed and tangled. The only style I could see this working for would be to hold bangs or similar.

I hardly used hair products before I recently got my hair cut with layers. My stylist showed me how to "tease" my hair and I've been hair product crazy!! I tried to use cheaper alternatives of what she used, but my hair fell flat and looked unnatural. I caved in and bough this spray along with another Redken product that was used. It took me a lot of practice to learn how to tease my hair and sometimes it doesn't always look the best, but this is the BEST hairspray I've used for teasing. By the way, I have naturally straight, thin hair.. but lots of it. This hairspray is fairly expensive. I bought it for $19 at CVS but you can find it at hair salons and stores like Ulta. It's totally worth every penny though. I didn't like the smell at first and now I've grown to really like it. It's quick drying instead of being extremely wet. I can't tease wet hair. It's so hard to find a HS that isn't wet when sprayed! That's the main factor. It has great non-stiff hold as well. And if I do use too much, it's easy to brush out without ripping all my hair out! Would I repurchase? Absolutely. I've also tried Bedhead's Hard Heard hairspray, but this one is still better IMO.

Best hairspray I've ever used. Dries instantly and holds great while remaining brushable. The nozzle sucks though. Wish Redken would fix that : (

I love this product!! i just hate how the nozzle always gets clogged. it makes my curls stay and I can layer it and it doesnt get crunchY! I actually love the smell because it doesnt smell like alchohol, and it smells fresh.

I recently purchased this product at my local salon, as they were having an amazing 30% sale, so how could I resist!
This product comes in a sleek, silver can, and sports the lovely #23.
First off, let me say the nozzle can get clogged very easy, but what else is to be expected over hard-hold hairsprays?
Now, from a person who previously used hairsprays like Got2b, Garnier, etc. I figured this hairspray wouldn't be any different in a sense that it would make my hair hard/crunchy. Boy, was I wrong! I will never regret buying high-end hairsprays anymore! My hair is actually BRUSHABLE, which is amazing, because even after combing it, it hardly moves an inch. This hairspray is freaking amazing! I needed a higher end hard hold hairspray, as I already have the texturizing spray from CHI. This product is great, and I will repurchase again and again!
Edit: I simply can't stand the smell anymore. I use this as a bug-spray now, lol. Also, the nozzle is kind of difficult to press to disperse the product. Brought the lippies down to a 3.

I was given a sample of this spray at my local salon... and i am pretty faithful to my HG (joico travallo) which i have been using for like 10 years (my hair likes it & i love the smell) BUT... my hair has changed in texture lately... along w/the new "strays"... so switching things up... is a great thing sometimes. i would not have tried another spray (i have a stash that's not going to be depleted anytime soon) and i'm glad i did... this stuff holds really well. the smell... eehhhh... it aint great but it doesnt linger. i like the smooth feel of this... there's no sticky... no tackiness. it holds very well... and lasts well also. it's not cheap... so while i will definitely be purchasing more... i will stick to sample sizes... and only when there's a real need for it... like going out... morbid weather... that sort of thing. My spray nozzle also got stuck... very irritating.

I like this pretty well. You do have to spray it directly at the roots of you're using it to keep volume in your hair, otherwise it just makes your hair a big mess. But it does hold all day, and keeps frizz away if you mist all over. The smell didn't really bother me, I didn't notice it lingering. Also, I find the nozzle got clogged pretty often, and even though that's hard to avoid with such a strong hold hairspray, it was still irritating

I have to agree with other reviewers regarding the smell. It is horrible and it lingered all day. For this reason I would not buy again. Also had some trouble with the top where it has to be turned in order for the spray to come out.

Love this spray! It does exactly what you want from a hairspray. It provides control without the sticky, stiff feeling. Love the scent as well. The downside is the price, it is very expensive, even bought online.
Age: 44-55 Skin: Very Dry, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Blue
Love love love this hair spray. It provides awsome control without being too sticky or stiff.
I have dry medium hair and it doesn't make it look drier. It also continues to provide control in humidity, when my hair normally would go hay-wire.
Don't leave home without it.

I just tried this out and it's exactly what I was looking for in a hairspray! I live in FL so it's very humid and hard to keep my big curls lasting all day. But this stuff really held them well! It's awesome and not sticky at all! It doesn't make your hair crunchy no matter how much you use and I use a lot. The smell isn't bad but I did notice it. The only downfall is the price but its well worth every penny since it does what it's suppose to! I def noticed a difference between this and the cheaper hairsprays I have tried in the past.

I really like this hairspray. I have never been offended by the smell. It gives good hold, although I took 1 lippie off because I do wish it was just a little stronger. (I like extra strong hold on my bangs).
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
I don't notice the smell of this hairspray. For me, it fades away quickly and does not bother me at all.
This is the only hair spray I will buy- what did I ever do without it? I have fine, thin hair that i curl with a large curling iron every day to give it some loose waves. This hairspray keeps my curls all day and does NOT feel crunchy at all! What more could you want from a hairspray??
Age: 36-43 Skin: Normal Hair: Brunette Eyes: Blue
I don't know why Redken would choose citronella for the scent in this otherwise decent hairspray. I like to smell citronella bug candles on my deck in the summer--NOT IN MY HAIR!
Will not repurchase and I can't wait until I use it up. It was so expensive that I hate to throw it out!

one of my hg hairsprays! everything i look for in a hairspray. the scent is very unique too... in a good way.
