I have very oily, large pored, acne prone skin. I started trying this because I wanted to switch to more natural products. I am happy with the results but this isn't a miracle product. I do see a reduction in redness and pore size in the morning but as I go throughout the day my face goes back to it's usual self. I think what I like most about this product is it makes my skin look half way decent before bedtime which is a big plus bc I hate the way my skin looks without makeup, especially right after the shower because it makes my face look even redder. So all in all I am not as embarrassed to be around my boyfriend without makeup on.

Firstly, the puff was nice but got messed up after using it for a while, so I don't even bother with that. I use a soft brush and just make sure a little gets all over my face. I got mine in tan to match my skin tone, and my skin looks soft and airbrushed in the morning when I wake up after I applied it the night before. Maybe that happens with any powder, I don't know. I do like how my skin looks after using this and I haven't experienced anything negative. It does give your skin a softer look when you use it, but as for long-term effects I am undecided. Other than temporarily making your skin look softer and airbrushed, I can't say it's done anything extravagant or that noticeable. I don't feel the need to put this on, and most times I forget about it. So for that I wouldn't purchase it again. Who knows though, maybe it does make a difference, I just can't notice it.

This product is my saving grace. I bought this in a moment of desperation and a sale at Ulta and I'm so glad I did! I've been using this for about 3 months now and I can't thank myself enough for purchasing. It's cleared my face of all those icky little under the skin bumps, almost all my redness is gone, I can actually go makeup-free for the first time in years and when I do wear makeup (Bare Minerals) I use way, way less than I've ever needed before.

For all you trying or wanting to try this: it takes time to work!! Like anything else for your skin, it doesn't work overnight or in a month. I think it took about 4-6 weeks for me to see a dramatic improvement in my face. Unless you're allergic to the sulfur I highly recommend this product. I think it's 50% off right now too because the company is redesigning their RareMinerals line.

One thing I did have to do though was take off the annoying little puff and apply the product with a small brush. It works SO much better that way. Hopefully their new stuff will have a better designed applicator.

I picked this up on sale. I liked the idea of being able to put this on before bed to help my otherwise disastrous skin look a little better, especially if I happened to be with someone I liked. ;) And if it actually does improve my skin... well... Bonus! I can't speak to how well it actually "treats" my skin because I am using so many serums and treatments prescribed by my esthetician already, I don't know which product is doing what. But it isn't making me break out, so that's a good thing.

Alas, I'm single again, so I nixed this as a nighttime "treatment," and I'm using this as a loose powder over tinted moisturizer instead. I wouldn't call it HG, but I do like it because it's not too heavy, nor does it leave me feeling like I have an oil slick on my face a couple hours after I apply it. I hate the other BE products for those very reasons. I also like that it's not super matte, which tends to really accentuate my acne and adult chicken pox scarring. However, it is pretty easy to overapply if you're not careful, but when that happens, I just spritz on some Mac Fix+ or the Rare Minerals Facial Mist.

The applicator is really idiotic. It seems really wasteful and unhygienic, so I threw out the sponge part and use it with a powder brush instead.

I have super oily, acne prone, red skin. Because of the redness in my face, it makes the foundation I wear look like it's the wrong color. A lady at the BE boutique suggested the Rare Minerals night treatment to help with the redness. I'm SO glad it was on sale, otherwise I probably wouldn't have purchased this! After only a weeks use I can see it has drastically reduced my redness, and curbed my oiliness. I also have very large pores, but haven't really been noticing a whole lot of difference there. Maybe that will take a little longer. But, just to get rid of the redness in my face makes this totally worth the price, plus it hasn't broken me out. I love this stuff a LOT.

As to the packaging, I ripped off the puff and sponge so the product wouldn't be trapped in it and wasted, and just apply the powder with my own brush. Much easier.

Just recently purchased this, as I was looking for something to wear overnight that would cover my redness and acne and not break me out. So far, I really enjoy the natural finish and the comfortable wear. My skin feels softer and looks more even-toned in the morning. And best of all no break outs yet!

I have been useing the BE line for over 16 years and I for sure thought I would love this product. I was not happy about the price for such a small product but thought I would give it a try. I first noticed that the puff was rough on the skin. I gave it several days to get used to it but it still felt very rough to me. Not soft at all. And as for the product itself, I did not see a big change. In fact, it dried out my skin. I do unerstand that everyone reacts differently to products but for the price and the whole puff thing I was not going to use this product and further and returned it.

Love this product. It has been so beneficial to my skin in less than 2 weeks - I am excited to see what it does with more time.

I started looking for something to tame my crazy skin after I stopped taking BC. My skin had been perfect for so long and was flaring up with pimples, red spots, oily spots, you name it. I had heard good things about RareMinerals and figured I would give it a shot and it has truly done wonders.

I have read complaints about the applicator but I love getting into bed with clean and toned skin and rubbing the sponge all over my face. I did it one time in front of the mirror to see if it was applying evenly and it wasn't a problem. So like the instructions say, right before bed, I apply it all over. It doesn't cloud up for me unless I tap it on my face (which I do to cover little crevices by my nose and eyes tha are hard to get into.)

The smell doesn't bother me either - I did notice the sponge had a "chemical" odor when I first got it but that quickly went away with use. The price at $60 is expensive but you really don't use a lot, I imagine it will last me a long time.

I think on it's own it's not a miracle worker, but in conjuction with a proper skincare routine it is very very helpful. My skin is more oily now so my routine at night is to remove makeup with a cleansing oil, and then a toner and then the RareMinerals. I forgo a moisturizer because the RareMinerals is moisturizing in and of itself. I have not experienced any dry skin at all.

Love it!

( light & clear )

I bought this product a second time despite the fact that I wasn't particularly thrilled with it the first time I bought it. The product claims to improve your skin etc etc but it didn't do much to improve my skin - but it didn't damage my skin either.

It was just a good product for extremely sheer coverage/evening out of the skin for when you go work out or make a quick trip to the store. Basically, it's a good product for subtle-subtle coverage when you don't want to put on a full face (but I'm sure anyone could probably find something like that for much cheaper). Or I guess it'd be good for wearing to bed as the ads suggest, not so much to replenish your skin as to perhaps discreetly prettify your face for whomever you're sharing your bed with (?) - haha.

I bought this at the Bare Escentuals store (for the person who said it's only available on QVC) and it is a great product. For whatever reason when you put it on your skin looks amazing. But they package this as "overnight" treatments and while it never shrunk my pores or made my skin any clearer it looked great while it was on, so i'm not really sure why they package it as an "overnight" treatment when i think it makes sense to wear it during the day maybe even under make-up. I haven't done this yet because i made the mistake of getting "clear" which is more white than clear and looks ridiculous on my tan skin lol if i buy it again i'll get an actual color. i do recommend this product, but it is $60 which is a bit expensive considering it didn't do anything to actually change my skin, just the appearance while i was wearing it. But it does last a long time, the packaging is really cool too. Overall a great product just don't believe all the hype on the box that claims to shrink pores and clear skin because it might not do that for you, but will make your skin look lovely while you're wearing it!

I was very skeptical to try this, but QVC has a great return policy so I purchased a full size that should last about 3 months. I've had it over a month and I LOVE THIS! I call it my magic eraser! Ladies, you have to be patient and try this. It took less than a week, but I saw noticeable differences and continue to....but when I have forgotten to use it, the next morning, my skin looks not so good. The applicator is awful. I don't quite understand it, but it is what it is. I am a PPP and purchased this in the lightest color....and I can't tell when I have it on.

My skin type: combo/dry/sensitive/acne prone/prone to clogged pores/ and drum roll please....rosacea! What a combo! A lot of product are too harsh for my skin, causing irritation, reactive redness, bumps, breakouts, burning, you name it. Even the weather and pollutants irritate my skin. Since my pores clog easily, regardless of what skincare/makeup I use, I need to exfoliate regularly yet because I have rosacea, BHA & AHA's are now too irritating for me. For this reason alone, I thought I would try Rare Minerals.

Since using it, my skin is less red and patchy and is more even toned, my pores are smaller (this is clinically proven to do this!), the fine lines I am starting to get around my eyes are less noticeable, my pores seem to rarely clog, I have less breakouts, AND those awful red rosacea bumps RARELY happen! MAGIC ERASER, I tell you! The thing is, you will start seeing the results in the morning, after you wake up. You skin will be softer as well as getting al the benefits I mentioned above. There are nights when I forget to apply this and when I wake up the next morning, it's back to my normal, "Oh no, I wonder what skin issues I'll have today...a breakout? Irritation? Rosacea flare up?"....but like I said, this RARELY happens now and I am so happy! I swear by this stuff. I was a skeptic but kept at it and within a week, saw results that got better the more I used it. LOVE!!!

GAWD THIS IS AWFUL. How do I begin describing this mess??
First off, the applicator is awful. It's a sponge end so you pat it on (it goes on unevenly) and it leaves a clouds of dust behind. I'm sure I have Black Lung now from breathing in all that dust. Even worse, the product itself is shiny and leaves a nasty pearly sheen on my face that later turns greasy. The smell is terrible, something like dried sweat on top of self tanner -UGH. This also clogged my pores & gave me tiny little whiteheads. Precious.
All this for ONLY $60 -what a deal. Forget it, I'm walking this one right back to the store tomorrow. DO NOT waste your money on this.

I bought this product while watching QVC one night. It was part of a 9 piece collection at $80...i'd been wanting to try the product for quite some time but the $60 price tag was always out of my budget. This time around however, with 8 other products i just had to get it. (the price was split into 3 payments also)
Ive been using the prodyuct now for about 4 days...i apply it every night after cleansing and toning my skin.
Every day..id go to bed with red, irritated skin, i also have acne...and the dreaded acne scarring. I have literally tried everything to get rid of the horrible redness...it was ridiculous.
I would absolutely hate looking in the mirror after washing my face..only to see horrible skin, and nothing would help.
In 4 days however....this product has...significantly...and ive tried fading creams, etc etc...and it has significantly helped with the redness and scaring.
I washed my face and was amazed to see that my skin seemed calmer and some of my scaring was starting to fade...its just amazing.
I had to call my sister into the bathroom to ask her if she saw a difference in my skin as well and she couldnt believe it....lol.
I do have the tinted formula in medium..and love the fact that i go to sleep feeling like my skin is more even toned because it has a very light coverage.
Overall i rate it a 4 because of what it has done to my skin so far...not too fond of the packaging...was kind of hard to get it out of there the first time..
Ill have to figure out how to use it with a brush or something.

So awesome-I use this instead of my powder foundation. It's gives great coverage and I feel better about using this over any regular powders. I feel that regular powder may cause blemishes/breakouts
but since this one was for actual acne treatment, I feel safe.

This really did not do a whole lot for me. I liked the fact that it allowed a little coverage so that when you have taken your makeup off, you can still have a little less redness on your face if you have it. That being said, it really did little else. My pores looked a tad smaller but I don't know if it was from this or my skincare products. Also, I took the sponge off and would use a brush to apply. You use more that way so you would have to buy it more often. Not worth the $60 to me.

This is a review for the Nighttime Revival Treatment in clear. This is a powder in a small jar with a puff-top applicator. $60.

I bought this from QVC some time ago. My feelings at first was that I really noticed a difference in my skin but as time went on, my skin built up a tolerance and reverted back to it's old ways. I put this aside and forgot about it.

I have picked this up again to try for two reasons. I have a stubborn dermatitis on my left eye lid and have tried everything to no avail. After seeing Leslie B. on QVC the other day, talking about product, I thought I would try it on my lid. She mentioned she used it anywhere on her body she sees something "she doesn't like". I noticed a difference after 24 hrs. The redness has lessened considerably and seems to be healing. I will update with more results.

I also tend to get get chest acne. I am using this on my upper chest area to see what it will do. So far, I have noticed that the skin feels good, the pores look smaller (not that i have huge pores there anyway but I do see a small change.) So far, I haven't had any breakouts but I will report back my long term findings.

One thing I don't like about this is the applicator puff. Mine is already breaking up and the top layer peeling off. I have emailed BE about getting a replacement but will use a brush in the meantime.

I do think this is pricey for the amount of product etc but if it does work for my two problem areas, I would repurchase. For a facial treatment - No.

I used this product religiously for a month in conjunction with my normal skincare routine as directed by the instructions. While it was great for breakouts and cleaning out my pores, I soon noticed a patch of skin near my left temple was lighter than the rest of my face. The lightened patch is about an inch and a half long. It is really only visible under direct light, but needless to say, I was pissed. What 'natural' product does that to one's skin? I discontinued use immediately. I know the company's M.O. is providing their products in loose mineral form which makes it "natural", but for a treatment, that's quite ridiculous. The packaging is absolutely the worst. The price when you think about it is not that bad. One container of this is supposed to last you 3 months with almost daily use, so if you do the math, you pay about $20/month. I've seen treatments that claim to do the same thing for much more than that.

I received this product 2 days ago and I LOVE it. With only 2 applications so far, on the entire face, I find my skin to be less dull and more even looking. It even helped to cure some pimples and blemishes.

So far, I am very impressed. I bought the clear color so that it would not stain my pillowcase and it doesn't. GREAT product!
