this was given to me as a gift by my husband....sadly, i tried it once and did not like it at all. i found the scent to be non-existant, the granules stuck to my skin until i scrubbed them off with soap, and then there was the stain factor of the tub...the only things i did like were the color (in the package-not on my tub) and the plastic packaging. i threw it out after using it once and will not buy this product again....

This is my favorite scrub of all time. Yes, it can be messy and hard to get the red off your tub/skin/bathroom/etc. but the results are well worth it. No other scrub has left my skin so incredibly smooth and soft. The granules are bigger than some scrubs and so they don't melt away as easily; the oils are quite moisturizing. I have repurchased several times. I would consider trying a different Origins scrub, such as the Ginger, to try to avoid the red issue, but the mess has not been enough to dissuade me so far.

This is my favorite scrub ever. The scrub itself is made of tiny, tiny little gritty stuff (you all know what I mean!) and it feels wonderful. They are not sharp at all, but feel wonderful. It also has a good amount of oil in it, instantly working itself into your skin. It is a staple of mine!

This product was a near disaster for me. It left my skin oily, my bathtub slippery, and the packaging left much, much more to be desired--it was glass. Glass + Oily product + Bathtub = Hazardous to your health. One lipstick for cruelty-freeness.

This smells nothing like pomegranates. Way too expensive. A major disappointment.

I could love this...
if it actually smelled fruity.
That is what I was expecting, and instead I got a olive oil smelling stuff. I love the color, but hate the mess it makes. I have to use shower gel afterward to clean it off. It would all be worth it, if it smelled like pomegranites like I was expecting... But as it stands, not worth the mess. Definately will not repurchase.

My skin was soft after I used this but I would NEVER buy it again. It makes such a mess in the bathtub and is very hard to remove from not only your skin but the tub too! I am not keen about the packaging either.

This is fun to use, very abrasive and emollient so it gets the job done. However, it's leaves a total mess in the tub, red residue all over. Even after I showered it left a red residue on my skin (and towels!).

Gasp...the horror! I hate this, and I rarely hate anything. I got this for christmas, I thought it was rather pretty. I got in the shower and scrubbed away. The scent was not what I expected (smelled like tea), although it wasn't bad. When I tried to rinse it off though, whoa boy, what a mess! My skin felt sticky and oily, and for the life of me I couldn't get the tiny pomegranate seeds off my skin. It looked like somebody peppered me! Finally I got out of the shower and towelled off. A few minutes later I looked at my white towel, it was RED! The darn dye had come off. I sat on my white bed - you know what's coming - more dye. I wouldn't give this stuff to my worst enemy - well maybe my WORST enemy...

I wasn't sure what to think of this at first. I find the mason jar with the spring lid somewhat cumbersome, but probably necessary as the product has to be stirred to mix the salt and oils together. The red color will leave stains in your tub and the oils can make surfaces really slippery. After using this, I felt an oily residue on my skin which did eventually get absorbed, but my skin was a lot smoother. What it is great for, is helping to get a real close smooth shave. If you scrub your legs with this before shaving, your shave will be closer than ever and your legs will feel really great. I'm not sure if I will buy it again, but it is good stuff.

Admittedly, this scrub gives you baby soft, wrinkle free skin and it works great to exfoliate the skin. However, I would not repurchase for 2 reasons: A) the packaging is really bothersome, i recd it in a jar with a scooper and when i try to take some of the polish out, it falls all over the place like sand would and B) if i use too much, it burns! So rather than have to worry about these 2 things, I'll look for something else that works just as well or better after I use this up.

I received this as a gift and tried it. I like it and would buy it. Really scrubs skin smooth and the oils in the scrub make skin feel smooth and replenished. The smell is great--fruity!!

yes, this scrub can be messy and the oil separates from the scrub in the jar, but the smell is diviiine! i love using this in the summer time in the shower before i go out. i scrub my skin which stays rosy from the color of the scrub and feels like pure, moist silk all day and night! it is left fresh, dewy, and glowing!:)

The packaging on this scrub is far better than that of many others, which tend to leak. This comes in a glass jar with metal clasp, and nothing leaks out. I use this about every two weeks and it feels awesome. I spend 5 minutes scrubbing it on and then rinse off before going to bed. I let the oils stay on my skin overnight before cleaning them off in the shower the next morning and my skin is left feeling incredibly soft. The salts in here are the best exfoliators I've used, and the oils are wonderfully moisturizing. The smell is a little strong and very nutty, but well worth it. You also have to clean your tub out thoroughly or it will be left red from the pomegranate. It comes off easily though. It's expensive but an amazing product; my favorite body scrub.

I really wanted to like this. I thought the packaging, although not practical, was so cute! I loved the red color and texture, but IT LEFT A BIG OLD MESS IN MY SHOWER!!! What is worse, no matter how much I rinsed- I could never seem to get it all off my skin. I would put on white socks after and go to bed. In the morning- you guessed it- red socks! I am using this up to get rid of it because although messy it does work very well at exfoliating (which is why I gave it a 2). It was very expensive (30) considering the messiness, etc. I will not rebuy. OK I've now got this rant out of my system:)

this stuff is the WORST!!! first of all, it has so much red dye, whether it's from the actual fruit or it's a synthetic...i do not know, but it turned everything in my white bathroom "red". it looks like the shower scene from the movie "psycho". also, it's very difficult to rinse off (kind of like removing the sand stuck on your legs from suntan lotion after a long day at the beach). lastly, after all that work (removing it from my body, cleaning it from the shower stall) it doesn't do much in the way of moisturizing. not only would i NOT purchase this again, i actually threw it out rather than swap it to some unsuspecting swapper.

Greasy, bad scent, horrible. I will stick to Natural Esscents and Lather for my body scrubs. I also wrote another review on this as well. Not worth $30!

I received this as a gift, and assuming it to be like the Salt Scrub, headed to the nearest Origins counter to exchange it. I explained why I wanted to return it to the SA (messy, oily, harsh, etc.), and the rep explained that the product should be scooped out of the jar, leaving the oil behind as a preservative. He said that in his opinion, it was the best scrub out there, and I should try it and then return it if I didn't like it. So, I did. IMO, it does leave the skin soft and smooth without being too harsh, but the scent is nasty, and it's still messy and packaged terribly. It goes back.
