i have to stress that you really need to give this cream time. i first got it and thought it was nothing special. ive now use it for a month now every morning. and i now notice that my puffiness and dark circles have reduced dramatically. i just woke up one day and thought.. i dont have dark circles anymore. i use green tea ice cubes around my eyes aswell. which i think is amazing. id honestly say give this cream a try. i love it. im actually running out and will most definatly be buying again. i keep it in the fridge. i dab my eyes with the green tea ice cubes then apply this cream after for some moisture. i feel awake and refreshed.

I work midnights, so I wanted a good eye cream. I figured I would give fast response a try. It worked for the first 2 weeks, easy to apply concealer, made my eye area feel soft and kind of helped the puffiness. After 2 weeks, I developed red bumps under my eyes and eyelids and using this was the only thing different i have done. I have never had allergies affecting the eyes like this. I tried antihistamines thinking I did have environment allergies but did not work. This is my 3rd day with the symptoms and after reading a few reviews and others had the same side affects, I put 2 and 2 together. I have not used this since yesterday evening before I went to work and already the bumps have subsided, but still irritated. It got so bad that I was unable to sleep after a 12 hour shift! It got worse as the night went on. I also developed worse wrinkles than before, i am only 33. I will be returning this product. Now I have to find something to fix this! So disappointed with MAC cosmetics :-(

I had to return this to Mac for a few reasons....I am sad this didnt work for me. At first, it feels amazing going on and I like that it comes in a tube so I can control how much I need. My dark circles lighten and puffiness appear to vanish almost instantly. When I put on my concealer after applying this eye cream, it goes on smoothly and looks great! But after an hour or so, I found my concealer would start coming off and my dark circles would show through more prominent. It was like the slipperness of this cream would take off my concealer...I've never had this problem before and I've been using the same concealer for years! My dark circles would become darker throughout the day as well. I also noticed a small bump under my eye that went away when I stopped using this.
I have very deep dark circles that are hereditary so maybe this eye cream is better suited for those who just have them from lack of sleep and dont use it on a daily basis...which is not for me.

Pros: this creme freshens and appears to reduce puffiness. I also noticed that my dark circles, over a month of use, became lighter, although these types of effects are not claimed by the product's description.. I would give it a 3 for its intended effects -- too subtle and unconvincing.
It is a 5 because it works extremely well as the base for concealer or under eye highlighter. The creme leaves behind a slightly moist velvety layer -- does not feel heavy or oily under the eye, in fact you can only feel it by touching the area with a finger tip. Putting concealer afterwards works great: there is no more dry creases and/or gatherings of color crumbs. The creme stays on all day, and concealer does not end up looking like plaster by the evening.
Cons: the only con I noticed is that the reduction of puffiness and darkness was not drastic and immediate. That is, I noticed a difference in the way my eyes looked probably after a week of using this product, not the very first day. Having said that, its features as an under-concealer were there from the first try.

this product has caffeine it is and is supposed to immediately make your under eye area look more awake. it is moisturizing and allows for my concealer to apply smoothly. this is not a skincare product that will help you long-term and i would not purchase it again for that reason.

This cream honestly should not be reviewed solely based on any difference you see in the mirror. I have bags under my eyes that really weren’t visible (at least to me) when I looked in the mirror, but I knew they were there because I could CLEARLY see the puffiness under my eyes every time I would take a face pic of myself. Enter fast response eye cream – same as before, absolutely NO changes that I can see when I look in the mirror, but, I went to take pictures last night and ALL of the puffiness/bags are gone!! Completely gone, my eyes look great in the pictures. I take a face pic of myself prob about 1-2x @ week to check my makeup, colors, or just if I happen to think I look pretty good that day LOL!! I scrolled back through my pics from before this cream, and those damn bags were in every single pic. As I scroll to the pics taken in the last couple of weeks – not one pic with bags, not one! I can’t say how long it took for this to happen as I hadn’t really taken any pics in the last cpl months since I started using this, but it did happen. Please don’t evaluate the effectiveness of this product based only on what you see in the mirror – if you have puffiness and bags, buy this – use it – take pics and watch the changes. I will NEVER be without this cream again!!

i usually LOVE mac products, i use face and body foundation, studio finish concealer, select cover up, loose powder, complete comfort creme, strobe cream, fix + and i LOVE all of those products and highly reccomend them, however, this i don't love, i'm a bit meh about it.
It does make your eyes feel lovely smooth, and it makes them look slighty more awake however it does nothing major and nothing long term, i shant repurchase but wouldnt tell anybody else not too. id say it's 3 stars whereas all my other mac products are 5 stars. I'd reccoment bobbi brown extra eye repair to someone looking for a great eye cream.

I love this eye cream! I use it every morning under my makeup and it leaves a smooth, satiny finish. It reduces puffiness quickly as well. It's not a dramatic difference, but noticeable nonetheless. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey for such a small tube. I'm a sucker and I willl continue to repurchase though :)

OMG! I Put a layer of Benefit ooh la lift which I like very much over fast response and I saw lines under my eyes that I have neverseen before! My skin is combination and I am not that old to have as many lines under my eyes. I felt like I had professional make up in order to play an old lady in a movie!

This is a good under eye moisturizer. It applies well, and does not appear or feel greasy. The skin really soaks it up. Does it help under eye darkness? It was a temporary fix for me, but no real benefits throughout the day. Good to use in the morning before applying make up, but no long term effects. Overall I do like it because it is a good under eye moisturizer, but it didn't do much for under eye darkness on me.

I've always had dark circles under my eyes and I've tried countless of creams. The MAC Fast Response Eye Cream has, so far, been the most successful. I wouldn't say it is "the cure" to my problem, as the circles are still visible, but it has worked better than all the other products I 've tried.
It is very light and easy to apply. After applying, the skin around my eye is immediately softer and smoother. This cream is a great base for concealers and foundations. I found it does de-puff, but nothing drastic. Over time, (it took almost a full tube until I started to see results) the circles will fade and be less visible. The tube itself is small but a little cream goes a long way. However, it is really difficult to get the last little bit out when you're running low, and at this price, you don't want any to go to waste... So squeeze hard!
I am still searching for my miracle cream, but for now, this will have to do.
***UPDATE***
I never noticed how well this product actually works UNTIL YOU STOP USING IT. I ran out of it once, just used my daily moisturizer around the eyes instead... after a week, the dark circles became way more noticeable. I rushed out to buy a new tube and it immediately helped. This product is not intended to eliminate the problem of dark circles - I have ditched my quest to find a product that will do this. This cream will simply reduce the appearance of circles as long as you keep using it. For me, I found satisfying results and will continue to use this as my regular eye cream.

I noticed under my eyes looking a bit dryer after I started using this. I am not sure what it did or if it did anything but my eyes seemed to look older and with extra lines. Few days that I have stopped using it my eyes are looking better. Oh yeah I also started noticing milia also around my eyes and I have never ever had this before. Buyer beware!!

I have dark under eye circles and i was looking for a cream that would help me make them disappear or to make them look less dark. I searched before i bough this F.R.E.C and i read so many reviews on how great it is to make the dark circles less noticeable but honestly i didn't see any improvement what so ever. I don't see any difference and its not that expensive but expected it to be good on me. I wouldn't purchase this cream again but ill keep searching in other brands.

I love this, I've tried everything out there and continue to try new things but this is still HG for me. I use it primarily for puffiness, works better on me thatn any other I've tried thus far, and second it is a great under eye primer. I was really bothered by some reviews on here, I'd hate for someone to miss out on something great, so if you have dry skin and were misinformed, read on. This is FANTASTIC for dry skin, it's got an emollient texture to begin with, the first ingredient is dimethicone(silicone), the second is isododecane which is an emollient, and also contains quite a bit of sodium hyaluronate, or hyaluronic acid (HA) which is an AMAZING humectant. It also contains skin brighteners as well as Vitamin C and Vitamin A. Because of the dimethicone based product it can smooth out the under eye as a dimethicone primer can for the skin, it also makes an excellent primer for under the eye, provided you like those primers (I LOVE!). The consistency is in between a dimethicone based primer (think SMASHBOX) and a gel. I have dry skin, I'm extremely dry under my eyes and I rarely wear an additional eye cream during the day. Do wear sunscreen as this does not have an SPF. Now that I've said what I have to say for dry skin, I have a few friends that have oily skin and love this and dimethicone based primers in general, they say that they're great for oily skin. Worth a try!

I can't live w/out this product I love this gel on my clients & myself for a quick de-puffing, oily lids, etc. It is said to be used around the eye area altho it is not a eye-base it does perfectly prime the skin for makeup. I use it by day/night I have oily lids but very dry in my inner and lower outer eye area so this works great for fixing my issues with wearing my fav e/s and them creasing. Some people say It will not help keep shadow on, or prevent creasing. I totally disagree as a MUA because it does do the trick for me and most of my clients at the counter. Yes this is a "skincare moisturizing cream" (FSEC). It contains caffeine which helps to pull back any oils and help to reduce puffiness and quickly minimizes the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. It also contains Vits and emollients that provides maximum moisture and conditions the delicate eye area. IMO this products does exactly what is was made for because it does helps balance out this craziness my eyes are going thru being that I'm on allergy shots 2x's a week and pills everyday............

I like this...I normally use it at night but after reading the reviews I might start using this in the morning and alternate between this and my EL Perfectionist Correcting Serum. I like really like FREC's packaging. I usually squeeze 2-3 drops underneath my eyes and gently pat. I don't think it really fades my fine lines but it does absorb quickly and provide a smooth finish for my concealer. It's not to be meant for the eyelid though so I avoid that area. Sometimes I dab a little on my forehead, where I tend to have dry patches and it saturates the area pretty well. & I use this before my moisturizer.

Hi All,
I've been reading the reviews for FREC and I've noticed a lot of people saying that they put this on their eyelids. I fear that you're giving it a negative review because you're using the product incorrectly.
FREC is NOT your typical eye cream. If you're looking for something to moisturize and reverse time, look elsewhere.
This gel-based cream is for immediate results. It is to be patted around the eye area...not on the eyelids. It is NOT a primer or a cream base. It will not help keep shadow on, or prevent creasing. This is skincare.
One of the main ingredients is caffeine; put on the skin it has the opposite effect as when ingested. Caffeine soothes and calms skin, which de-puffs and help reduce the look of dark circles. It also has optical diffusers in it, which help blur fine lines and wrinkles to give the effect of no lines at all.
It does NOT work well for people with dry skin, as it does not have very many humectants in it. Humectants help attract and hold moisture on the skin.
If you are considering buying this product, be sure to talk to the professionals at the counter and see if this cream is appropriate for your skin type and 100% what you are looking for.
That being said, I'm an oily gal and I love love love FREC. Definately helps on those early mornings, or even as a touch-up for the long days.

I have used this product for over 5 years now and I can't live without it! I use it in the morning. It moisturizes instantly without being greasy. You can apply immediately apply concealer and eye makeup. I'm almost 50 and have no creases around my eyes. I'm going to say it's because of MAC Fast Response Eye Cream. I'm a fan!
