I purchased the coconut version of this. Here's what I like: the smell, the taste =), and it's VERY moisturizing. Here's what I don't like: too slippery - it doesn't last & needs constant reapplication - and the packaging - I don't like having to stick my finger into pots of gloss, balm, etc. But I LOVE coconut and it's because of that I will probably repurchase. (I love it so much I almost don't mind having to reapply this!) I only use it at home though (the packaging is too impractical) so it'll be awhile before I have to do that.

I got a full-sized sample from Sephora (they must appreciate all the money I'm giving them, right ;).
Even though I didn't have to spend the $6(?) on it, I'm still extremely disappointed. The "gloss" is so OILY and thin- it's thinner than vaseline and melts almost instantly to the touch of my hand. Sure, there's shine, but my lips look like I just splashed water all over my mouth.
Can you say "UGH"? I can!

The pros, you get very high shine and it does feel natural. It's not as heavy as petroleum jelly. I bought it in strawberry and found the scent pleasant. As for the cons, it's a bit pricey, as I imagine there are very similar products in the drug stores or Walgreens, for less.

I have tried a few Carol's Daughter products and this particular one is awful. I have this in strawberry and it does NOT smell like a food at all, let alone strawberry. It has a strong putty type smell. Something you might use in an art class....remember cray-pas from elementary school? Those come to mind here...On the lips it has a gritty feel and disappears rather quickly. I will not buy this product again nor could I recommend it in good conscious. Try the lip butter in this brand instead.

this really is more like a lip gloss than a lip balm. it makes your lips so shiny & soft. cant speak for the strawberry & mango, but i have the coconut & it smells amazing. it might just be my favorite lip product ever.

Yummy! The strawberry scent was incredible and this product stayed on my lips for a long time and made them soft and supple! I love this product as well as many other Carol's Daughter products!

I love nearly all the CD products I've tried but will not be replenishing this one. The mango neither smells nor tastes like mango, more like petroleum or beeswax. It goes on nicely at first and gives a nice little gloss but after a while it leaves your lips very parched so you have to keep reapplying. I'll stick with Smith's Rosebud Salve... the best!

I like this one because it is natural, so i won't compare it with vaseline.
I got the strawberry flavour. It doesn't smell strawberry thou (which I like because i hate the synthetic smell of strawberry). This one smells more like wax or butter, which I believe not many ppl like. I was expecting more shine and glossy from it thou, this one just has little shine.

Don't waste your money on this. You could get the same effect from putting vaseline on your lips. The mango flavor smells disgusting and tastes just like vaseline. I hate lip glosses that feel like I'm putting petroleum jelly on my lips, I'm mad cause I paid 6 bucks thinking I'd get a good gloss and I ended up getting badly scented vaseline. I'd prefer petroleum jelly over this stuff cause at least it doesn't make me gag.

I have this in mango and simply adore the scent. It is a great, glossy balm. Not a bad price for what you get. I'm thinking about trying some of the other flavors since I'm enjoying the mango one so much.

I have this in coconut. It moisturizes very well, but is relatively shiny, so it's like a combination of a lip balm and lip gloss. (My husband was disappointed that it was shiny because he wanted to snag it for himself). The coconut is clear in color, and has a lovely coconut smell. Reasonably priced too. It's what I wear when I just want to look natural.
