This is a gorgeous colour and finish. But i didn't like the stickiness/goopiness of the product. The metal tube isn't very purse friendly packaging wise. product lasts a long time, a little goes a long way. I love the coulour but no i would not repurchase this product

By far my favorite item from Stila. This gloss is gorgeous, slightly shimmery, moisturizing and not at all sticky. They've replaced this with Lip Shine; basically the same product with a cheap-looking plastic tube instead of the metal one they had before. Petal Shine is a great berry-beige shade that looks amazing layered over Stila's Natalie lipstick.

Got this in a swap...glad I didn't pay for it. It's frostier than I thought it would be, so I have to apply very lightly so I don't look ridiculous. It's a fairly pretty pink shade, and I prefer to wear it over a pink lipstick. Overall, there are better glosses out there.

this is one of the new, repackaged lip shines with the handy brush applicator attached to the tube. the color is pretty- it's a shimmering nude pink. the gloss is unscented, with no taste. while this gloss is nice, it's nothing spectacular. the tubes contain a tiny 9 ml of product, and cost $26 CAD at my local stila counter. i'm experiencing buyer's remorse over these. these glosses are not a great value for the money, and i've bought better products for less. i would not repurchase. ***edit: i've found these to be quite drying the more i've worn them

Hrm. This is more of a 3.5 for me. The texture is not my fave, its kinda thinnish and mine has these weird gritty balls of...? in it. HATE, hatehathatehate the metal tube. It reminds me of the goop I smear on my cat's icky eye, and just like O.P.'s eye goop, it keeps oozing out when you open it up. The color is pretty, a basic mauvy/browny pink with a shimmery metallic finish, opaque really. This will definitely wind up on my teeth, of that I have no doubt. Seemed a little unimpressive for the full price (though I paid $6 for it!)

My favorite lip product. I don't usually wear lipstick or gloss because it makes my full lips stand out too much but this one is so pretty--it's a light pink color that's like the color you'd wish your lips would be naturally. It also has a really pretty sheen that's not obvious and wet-looking like other glosses. Isn't flavored or scented either, which is good in my opinion. The tube is small but you only need to use the tiniest amount--I use a lip brush instead of my finger to avoid globbing on too much. It makes lips look pretty rather than made up.

This looks natural while providing a nice sheen and color; like everyone else I hate the packaging, but if you store it upside down (cap end up), the product doesn't come out so fast when you squeeze it. *UPDATE 2/8/04* I squeezed this out into a little jar like someone else suggested; now it's much easier to manage the amount I apply.

I love the color, but the packaging is terrible. When I squeeze it just a little, a huge clump comes out. It's very inconvenient. It's a bit expensive too $17 for such a small amount.

This color is gorgeous! Very pink and shimmery. Tends to blend with the natural lip color to form an almost nude sheer shade. Great product.

Petal is a very pretty, frosty peachy-pinky-beigey color. I have pale skin, and it doesn't make me look washed out at all. I like this color when I do a neutral lip and a dramatic eye. Petal also looks great over other lipsticks to add some shimmer. The quality of the gloss is good but not great - not too sticky or tacky, decent staying power, and lovely pigmentation. I don't like the packaging at albut I am willing to put up with it because of the great color selection.

I love Stila for their innovative lip color products, but I'm not crazy about the lip shine. Petal is a bit too pink and shimmery on my lips. And it's a bit inconvenient to apply. I have to use a separate brush and squeeze a bit onto it. I prefer the Lip Polishes, with its built-in brush-one less step I have to worry about in the morning.

This is so expensive for the trouble that the packaging causes (oozing no matter how gentle I am)and I can't imagine this particular color being suited to very many people. This color totally washes me out. If you are looking for something to give you that perfect pouty mouth this ain't it! The sparkle in this color makes it a true frost from the '60s or '70s but the look is totally unflattering and outdated.

This is a very pretty pink. It looks a little too pale on pigmented lips/dark skin--but since I always wear dark browns/purples--this is a nice change. The lasting power is pretty mediocre--although once the color wears off--there is a slight sparkle on the lips left. Its moisturizing for sure--but super expensive. Always apply with a brush...and squeeze tube gently!

This is a very beautiful color, and it definitely adds fullness and shine to my lips. My only complaint is the packaging. As soon as I take the top off, lip gloss comes out. When I'm done squeezing, more lip gloss comes out. For $17, I'd expect better packaging! I'm thinking of squeezing this into a plastic container and using a lip brush, because I hate wasting any of this gorgeous color.

Love, love, love the color! The consistency is nice & it's long-lasting & glossy. So far I haven't had a problem with the packaging, but I squeeze the tube very gently & remove the product with a lipbrush.

Like everyone else's op the packaging is horrible but the color itself is a nice pink shimmer. Wearing it alone looks kinda bare on my lips but I like applying it on top of other glosses to give it a pearlized look. I wish it were cheaper and the packaging better.

For a small little tube this sure is expensive, and the packaging isn't my favourite either - it leaks! (eek!) It's really really messy. The metal tube gets easily squashed and gloss comes pouring out - not pretty. That aside, this is a very pretty frosty light pink on the lips, and the quality of the gloss is not bad. The gloss colour doesn't work for me, but I would imagine this to look *really* good on fairer people. I would give other lip shines a go, but I prolly wouldn't purchase this again.

Petal is a very pretty pinky peach shade with a slight touch of a shimmer to it. I'm not crazy about the metal tube design because it dents up easily no matter how well you take care of it, but other than that I'm really liking this lipgloss. It retails $17.
