I have been using this cream with the Mega Mushroom Serum for just over a month. The redness on my skin is due to acne related scarring. I have classic adult acne skin - prone to uncomfortable spots, redness and also quite dry.

I'm not especially blown away by this cream. I feel its too thick! Ive used lighter moisturisers that hydrate better so thats a bad point for me. I also dont like the smell. thats quite important to me especially as its going on my face!

Its diffcult for me to tell if my redness has drastically reduced as I'm not sure skincare alone will 100% clear up my skin. But i wouldnt re-purchase this product or the serum to go with it.

I have mild rosacea so my skin is red, slightly acne prone, and very, very sensitive. Just rubbing my face while washing makes it red.
I have to say the entire Mega Mushroom set is awesome. It works so well at not only reducing redness, but giving me clearer and brighter skin. It's honestly the best I've tried and I've tried a lot.
I just wish it wasn't so expensive. If you're wondering whether or not to take the plunge, Origins does free mini facials. They ask you about your skin and if they see you need something for redness/skin relief, they'll do the whole mega mushroom line on you. My face was less red just from the mini facial.

UPDATE: I don't think my skin is responding to this cream anymore. Also, the face wash is no good (just an fyi). Although I still love the cream's scent and it's light whippy texture, it just doesn't do anything about redness. When I'm paying $60 for over an ounce of product, it better be doing what it says. This is basically doing nothing special (in regards to redness) at this point. I could just buy any regular drugstore cream if I just wanted basic moisture.

It is almost Xmas time, and I bought the whole set. You get a full size cream and 3 smaller (travel) products from the same line for $7 more than the cream alone. Well worth it! :-) I saw on the Origins website that it is sold out now but you can find it in the stores...
My skin has been breaking out and being really irritated for some reason so I needed something that worked. I have been using the Mega Mushroom face wash for years and really love it, makes such difference! The cream is just as great! It is very thick which I personally love as I have dry skin. The irritation and redness disappeares instantly and my skin looks and feels smooth, even and very comfortable, very moisturized all day. When I use it at night, I wake up with beautiful fresh, healthy skin. And it is not tons of chemicals that `pretend` my skin to be healthy, but it really is, even if I skip a day or two, my skin IS healthy! :-))))))) It is not cheap but you don`t need much, so it will last a long time, and I don`t mind paying $60 for something I really like. I am used to this `earthy` smell as I`ve been using the face wash, and I like it... The jar packaging, I know many people are against it but to be honest I like jars, to me it feel more luxurious somehow. :-) Yes, the whole set is great, so I will keep buying this... :-)))
UPDATE: my skin is started breaking out more and more! I have to see if this cream is the problem, but right now I stopped using it for a while. I switched to Clarins to calm my skin, and that works wonders. I know essential oils might irritate sensitive skin so it is not that the product is bad, it is also what you are allergic to. I will update later...

Im sure many people know this product because Tanya burr from pixi2woo raves about this in her skincare video. and after reading great reviews about this product i decide to give it a try. i must say after 2 weeks of using this i do love this mosturiser , HOWEVER i do not recommend this for people with oily skin for the daytime/goingout. I use this at nightly and when i wake up it makes my skin so smooooth ! and i do see a decrease in redness in my blemishes .i find the smell not to be overbearing as many reviewers do complain about it . another thing ; after i apply this onto my face after doing my nightly routine (cleansing ,toner etc) it seems to leave like a sort of brownish residue feels like oil.. but as i said i only use this before i go to sleep . i feel like the texture of my skin as definitly improved and it has prevented breakouts. overall im pretty content with this product

Helped calm down my breakouts! My skin is the clearest it has ever been since using this cream. I have combination skin and it helps balance everything out. I also use the cleansing cream and I find they complement each other nicely and I try to put it on right after I rinse off the cleanser. You don't need to use very much of this as it is quite rich. Some people don't like the scent but I find it quite nice and fresh. Will definitely repurchase!

My initial thought on this product was how moisturizing it is, so it's great for anyone with dry skin. This product claims to reduce redness, though I haven't noticed any major changes over the past few months. For the amount of money I paid for this I expected it to do more for my skin, and this is also mainly the reason to why I won't be repurchasing it.

I used this for a few years but my skin remained sensitive although not as bad as it had been with other moisturizers. I kind of just assumed I was stuck with red, irritated skin. After reading that some of the ingredients in this are irritants to some peoples' skin, I switched to a basic, fragrance free moisturizer. My skin calmed down.

Even when I loved this stuff, it always bothered me that it didn't have sunscreen. I also prefer moisturizers that are in pump bottles instead of jars since oxygen supposedly can inactivate the anti-oxidents in these products.

Basically, I liked this for a while but I didn't realize it was bothering my skin until I stopped using it and my skin got better.

Meh. This is an ok cream - it does moisturize alright, and hasn't made my skin go crazy (which lately has been happening some with new products - either little clogged pore bumps, huge zits, dryness, redness - my skin's been really picky!). But for the price of this stuff, I expect more than just a decent moisturizer!! The smell isn't great either. I am not completely revolted by it, but the stuff does NOT smell GOOD by any means! Oh - I actually don't mind the packaging. I don't mind face cream in jars - I mean, you are using it right after you have washed your face (and I assume your hands, at least mine get washed during my AM/PM routine), so how badly could you possibly be contaminating your product? Just how I think - I know people are pickier than I am! But I have been using various products in jars for a good 25+ years now and have never had an issue.
I'll finish the jar, but I won't be repurchasing.

I got a good sized sample of this cream that lasted for 2.5 weeks. I must say that this cream is AMAZING!!! My skin gets dry in the winter, and this product completely moisturized it, leaving it soft and hydrated. I have sensitive skin and it takes a long time for acne/blackhead/whitehead scars to heal, and while I was using this cream (especially overnight), the scars would visibly lighten up. I used it morning and night, and I noticed the biggest difference when I used it overnight. I would wake up with my scars almost gone! Unfortunately, my scars would be visible again if I didn't use it at night. But still, it left my skin nice and soft, and very hydrated. On the flip side, this cream has a TERRIBLE smell. I don't know why any skin care company would allow a face product to go out smelling this bad. It is strong and plain disgusting, and you can smell it on your face the whole day long. Other people who got close to me could smell it too. Overall, this product does its job, but the smell could be better. However, as soon as I stopped using it my scars were visible all over again. I would not buy this product because of the smell--but if Origins changed the smell, I would definitely buy it. Great product!

I have very dry and sensitive skin, especially during the winter time. I tried the Mega mushroom products on my hands before buying it, the cream is non-greasy and very smooth to put on. I though it would be good for my very dry skin, I ended up bought the whole set: cleanser, toner, mask, face serum, eye serum and moisturizer, I have used them more than 1 month now, It is not enough for my very dry skin and the cleanser irritated my skin and made it drier! (The only thing i like is face serum.) But this cream is not fast absorbing and not hydrating my skin enough. I don't think it worth the price. I will not repurchase again.

Maybe it is because I am not a super mushroom fan, but this product just seemed weird to me. I got a sample from the Origins store, and although it felt fine, I didn't like the smell so much. Couldn't tell if it was really effective.

I love this cream. I use it, my husband uses it and my mother uses it. My husband works outside and this cream and serum really help his skin. I think you need very dry and/or older skin for this product to work for you or may be kinda oily. Love it for the winter months! You rock Dr Weil!

This cream is completely worthless. Have been using it for over two months now because I feel bad to throw it out. The smell is awful and it barely keeps my skin moisturized. My skin looks so much worse than usual. Drier, redder and less supple. Would not recommend at all. What a waste of money!

Hg!!!Hg!!!!!Hg!!!! This stuff is amazing. I have only used it for a week which is a very short amount of time but in a week it has dramatically changed my skin. I have normal skin that is acne prone but lately it has been dry as a desert and flakey around my mouth area. I bouht this at my local cco in a kit that also came with the cleanser, serum, face and body cream. Im already addicted to all of it!!! Ive never tried origins but i think im going to love this brand. Ok so its has made my skin as smooth as my 15 month old daughters and it has dramatically made it more even! I wasnt expecting it to help with my blotchy skin tone but its amazing!!! I have went from wearing full coverage makeup to a tinted moisturizer because all my redness and blotchyness is gone!! This stuff is amazing!!!!!
EDIT*** I started to get whiteheads and clogged pores!! Not sure if this was the reason!

This product moisturises very well. It has a thick texture but really does sink right in. I wanted it to reduce the redness in my skin but it didn't and that is why I would look for another cream before repurchasing this, otherwise it's great. I bought this alongside the cleanser, toner and serum and i like the serum the best.

I don't think anything gives you blackheads.. you just get them if you are prone to getting them. If you have sensitive skin then don't do a lot to it. Just rinse with water in the morning, apply your make-up with SPF, and go... at night wash it off and apply some face cream. The more you do to your skin, the more it's going to react badly. You cannot force your skin to take product after product expecting a miracle. Use one at a time and give it time... This is for combination/dry/sensitive skin. It's not greasy whatsoever, and has a very thick texture. I was surprised that it sank right into my skin. The scent is not obnoxious, it's fresh herbal. There are a lot of natural ingredients so there has to be some smell. I believe people trying to keep their skin too "clean", is the main problem if you have sensitive skin. I'm going to use this all Winter.

I have combination skin, my main concerns being the dryness that can occur at the corners of my mouth, my nose, and forehead. I also use Retin A .025%, which I had started two weeks or so prior to purchasing this product and had only encouraged dryness and redness.
This product relieved the dryness and flakiness, however it did not noticeably change the redness. However, as I grew used to the Retin A that resolved itself for the most part.
Albeit a pricey product, I've found it has lasted me anywhere between 4-6 months. Although I don't currently use this product, I'd love to get back into using it once my wallet is no longer being ravaged by Uni and housing fees.

for a face cream that costs around $80+ CAD, i expected more than an oily cream that does nothing but sit on top of your skin. it didn't do anything the website advertised it would do. calm skin? NO (in fact, it started making my skin sting not too long ago, which has caused me to purchase other moisturizers. moisturizers that don't claim to calm skin but actually do that job). stronger, healthier, more youthful appearance? NO. keep skin firm? well... i'm still pretty young so i'd say i didn't need help in that department and so, didn't see any results. all in all: a complete waste of money. it's a shame i kept giving it time to see if it'll work or i could've returned it and spend the money on something else.
