So far I love this foundation which is light but looks natural and doesn't stick to creases. Love the yellow undertones as I am very pink. I am dry too and this looks luminous. It is quite heavy and doesn't spread far. So I like to use the duo multipurpose brush to almost stipple it on a little bit at a time. It really doesn't take to long and gives you a nice sheer finish. It won't cover everything, but the shades have lovely yellow undertones that balance out the redness. More might look too heavy or oily even, as it is very moisturizing. I got bisque, which is the lightest. There are not too many shades, but they are forgiving if applied with a light touch. I have very dry skin and applied it over moisturizer and clear primer. The All Covered Up cream concealer was awful on top of it, but worked well underneath, as suggested. I did need a bit of concealer after and used L'Oreal True Match Foundation for that. The L'Oreal is too matte and too light a shade for me to use as foundation . It is quite pigmented, it makes a very smooth concealer or lightener for other foundations. UPDATE: the pump is not working well, but. Target did let me replace it. Not a great pump though. There is smell that I don't like and it is not a long lasting, foundation but I was out in the wind with a scarf. All in all, for $9 is really is a lovely foundation. I am in love with the color.

I've been applying my makeup near a window lately so I can see what it looks like in natural light and OMG i've been using a color that's wayyyy off! Way too pink, and didn't match my skin color at all. I'm a medium dark Asian and I always knew I was yellow toned, but didn't really put that into account when looking for a foundation. I just bought whatever looked tan enough lol. Sooo, I researched and saw that this foundation was yellow toned and was a good price range for me. I tried Bamboo, and it fit my skin tone perfectly! It's light-medium coverage, depending on how many layers you put on. It has more of a dewy finish, but I use a mattifier underneath since i'm a little oily, but it still looks very natural and doesn't look like i'm wearing a heavy layer of makeup. I have quite a few dark spots on my face from acne and this doesn't cover it up much, but I use concealer for that so it's ok. This is very nice for evening out my skin tone though. It feels nice and light, not thick. There is a scent, but I don't mind it. I like this foundation a lot! Glad I found it. Finally something that matches my face :)

I have tried every foundation out there. High end and grocery store , this is surprisingly one of the best. It has great staying power , nice coverage, and is a great color for me ! I use Buff. It is a liile hard to apply because it is thick. A brush works the best. Color match may be hard for some people because I believe there are only 5 colors. It is definitely worth checking out to see if you can find a color match. My skin is normal to dry, leaves a great finish. Not too dewy or matt. I would give it a 5 overall if it weren't for the limited color selection.

I've used this, and only this, for years now and it's better than others that are double or triple the price. I'm not the first to say it but most cheap foundations are just too pink/peach. The "vanilla" shade is perfect for my fair but olive skintone - the best color match I've found.

This goes on smoothly, isn't too heavy or mask-like, doesn't smell like a chemical soup, not too dry, not too greasy, blends well...it's just right. (The tinted moisturizer is pretty good too.)

Recently the packaging has been changed from a pump bottle that was nice to look at to a pump/tube hybrid that isn't as sleek but works about as well. The main difference is now I can't see how much is left in the container. I'm not in love with the pump style. I think it's difficult to get just the right amount. So, only 3 lippies on the packaging.

I am also told that SK does not test products on animals, which is a huge plus in my book.

i have very fair skin and the lightest shade makes me look like i'm wearing a white mask. the product is thick, so you get heavy coverage, and it goes on smooth and doesn't dry fast. it makes my skin flawless; i have tried other expensive dept. store brands and this one comes close, if not better, than what the expensive brands do. i like how perfect it makes my skin appear but wish it was a slightly lighter formula. you don't need a concealer with this either - it really covers well. the pump is terrible and i wish it was packaged differently

I bought this at target in the clearance section for under $3 I believe. It's light to medium coverage but is buildable, it has a yellow undertone which is perfect for my asian skin! I have this in camel and is a great match for me during the fall/winter season. Wearing it alone wasn't such a smart idea, it doesn't last VERY long, but recently I wore it over a primer and set with powder and it last from 8am-7pm! Amazing! I did have to blot a couple times around my forehead and the side if my nose but considering I have oily/combination skin it wasn't too bad. It was a very natural finish, kind of dewy but after putting powder over it, it was matte enough for me(: I really do like foundation however I developed 2 new pimples after wearing it :( but my skin is sensitive and acne proned. Maybe if I didn't wear it for over 10+ hours it would be better, in all I do still like the product and would repurchase if I could find it again.

-------------------------------------EDIT-----------------------------------------

Okay, so at first I really loved this foundation but it's basically gone downhill since. It doesn't hold up well even in the winter, imagine how awful it would be for the summer time. Ughh. I was really hoping this would work for me but I guess i jumped the gun too early on this one. Not recommended. The only thing that stayed consistent was blendability, which was a dream.

I have been in search of my HG foundation for years..I try EVERYTHING!! I am 47 minimal signs of aging fair skin, so I prefer a foundation a little on the dewy side with med coverage and yellow undertones. This fits the bill the best so far...and the price is def affordable. I like the consistency, and the dispenser packaging. This foundation is rated quite highly in "Don't Go to The Cosmetics Counter without me" . I always check with them for the specifics like SPF, ingredients etc...then come here and check out the reviews. So over all...I recommended this, but NOT for younger women with oily T-zones.

i'm disappointed with the container design of this. the formula itself is thick, full coverage, with a dewy finish and matches or blends with my skintone. you can get a shade lighter or darker and it should blend pretty good, so there's no real freakish mistakes of buying the wrong shade. this is my 2nd bottle. the first one i had no problems with, but this second one! ugh! the pump is awkward, doesn't pump all the way, sometimes pumps too much and you get a huge glob of product all over the place. and then just recently, the pump stopped working altogether and i have to unscrew it and spread it on my sponge with the pump hose thing. MESSY. my bottle now is covered in sticky foundation. bah. i would buy again only in a pinch, because i know what shade to get, if i needed one in a hurry.

I saw this on sale at target and decided to try it out. However, it made my already very oily face SUPER oily. I didnt like that it seemed to rub right off either. I ended up using it about 3 times because it accentuated my pimples. The coverage was ok but perhaps all my problems are because my skin is sooo oily. This just didnt work for me.

I like this foundation a lot! Good coverage, comparable to some MAC foundations I've tried... and I like the yellow undertones! I am fair-light but I'm also part italian so I have a fairly yellow undertone (more "neutral" than yellow perhaps) and the match is pretty good! I wish there were more colors, I feel as though I'm in between colors right now. I have normal-dry skin and this works for me. I dont know how I feel about the new package for this product, but I did find that the old bottle would come apart easily... so this is a bit better.
The product applies easily with a brush or fingers, is slightly sticky if not set with powder but it looks pretty natural. So much better than most drugstore foundations. It is a fairly small bottle, but you only need a pump or slightly more at a time! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try a new foundation without dropping a lot of $$$.

I got this foundation in target on clearance! I paid only about $3 with tax..awesome! So I tried this foundation. It's pretty matte, and it's good for comb/oily skin I guess. However, it doesn't have the coverages that I want....:( the color's great match for me though. I'm asian and has a yellow undertones and I got Vanilla, and because I have a light skin, it's a great match! Since I'm acne prone, I'm not sure it's gonna break me out b/c it's my first try...I'll update it later.

UPDATE: Broke me put horribly. Since I paid only 3 dollars oh well...I got Revlon colorstay foundation in sand beige in comb/oily, and it works awesome. I don't broke out! However, the packaging kinda sucks so I'll just drain the Sonia kashuk bottle and fill it up with Revleon foundation.

i purchased bamboo but i think right now, i need to try the next shade lighter. bought this bcs i wanted a non-spf foundation. despite this shade being a bit darker than i want, it wins the "great value" seal of approval from me. stippled then smoothed on w/the blush/powder brush from the ecotools mineral 5 piece set, the finish is natural looking, even if there is more than one layer. looks work-appropriate with laura mercier's loose powder over it. i think the sheen w/p powder on top is pretty, but i can't wear it that way bcs my skin is oily.

doesn't last as long as colorstay or doublewear but i expected that. didn't completely cover my one zit and one dark spot but i didn't expect it would. no caking or sliding after a 12 hour day. had to blot every several hours but i expect that given honolulu's humidity & my oily skin. fell asleep with this on last night & no new pimples resulted the next morning. won't call this HG bcs i like having several foundation options in my makeup case, but i will say that again, sonia kashuk did not disappoint.

**UPDATE: i purchased buff (shade 01), which is strangely, according to the way it was displayed in store, is the next lighter shade to bamboo (shade 09). go figure. anyway, buff works better for my skintone.

I am using this in "Bamboo" and it's a great foundation for my normally very oily, but currently more combo oily/dry winter skin. As others have said, this is a great yellow without being orange shade, and a spot on match for my tanned golden skin. It does go on shiny, but sets to a really beautiful satin finish. Does not settle in my large pores, and does not seem to make me oilier. I normally stick to my BE, but use this when I want a liquid. It has such a lovely finish!!! Truly an excellent foundation, best I've found at the drugstore!

This is what I have in my makeup box for backup foundation. The color looks very good (I use Buff), but it just doesn't cover all that well and it rubs out pretty easily. But I still use it when I'm out of what I normally wear or if I am just running to the store. And you have to be careful with the pump. Either too little comes out or too much!

The pump is pretty hard to use and i found this formula to be a bit too drying even after intense moisturizing. It sort of shows dry patches and doesn't give full coverage since this is very liquidy. It also has a weird scent... I probably won't repurchase again unless it gives me a miracle the second try.

People with yellow/golden undertones, rejoice! Seriously. This is the best foundation ever for people with true yellow/golden undertones. I've tried a million others and most are either too peachy or too pinky, and the slightest peachiness or pinkiness really shows against my skin and makes me look really really strange. Only some high-end brands make true yellow/golden shades (MAC, Bobbi Brown). The shade "Bamboo" matches my NC-35/37 skin tone very well.

PROs:
- Pump dispenser (mine works very well, never spurts out or plugs up)
- Bottle looks sleek
- Wears well for 8-12 hours on my normal-combo skin (doesn't settle into pores, lines, etc.), even in hot weather (100 *F !)
- Doesn't highlight dry patches
- Easily buildable without looking cakey
- Washes off easily w/ regular face-wash
- Doesn't break me out or clog pores (everything, and I mean everything, else does!)
- NO SPF!!!!!! I hate foundations that have not quite enough SPF to protect skin, but just enough to give a horrific white cast w/ flash photography.
- Gives a natural, satin-y finish.
- Feels nice on skin after it dries (very light, non-sticky)
- And once more, it's yellow-based. NOT brown, gray, peach, or pink -- YELLOW =D

CONS:
- Has this weird chemical smell that's not really all that pleasant, but I can't smell it on my face after it dries.. so it's really not that big of a deal, but it's there
- $10 for ~0.6 FL OZ... most foundations are 1 oz, so this is more expensive than other "drugstore" foundations out there, but still less expensive than mid/high-end ones.

I love it! Definitely HG.

ETA (1/24/2010): I still love this, still HG. Haven't even been tempted to try anything else!

just tried this for the 1st time today. I got bisque, but I think it's slightly too light for me.

However, the foundation itself, so far I like quite a bit. I've been searching high and low the past year for a foundation that doesn't dry my skin out, flake, look cakey, look too matte or too shiny, and that covers well enough without being too thick or heavy.
I've tried all kinds ranging from $8 to $60, and haven't really been satisfied with any of them. I was really ready to give up.

This foundation went on nice and thin, covered well, and felt moist without being greasy or too shiny. It didn't feel heavy, nor did it cake. I applied with my Sonia Kashuk Blending sponge (the purple one).

Can't comment on staying power just yet, I'll update that when I get a chance to wear it for a longer period of time. Not a wide color selection, but mixing 2 shades is an easy fix for that. Not a big deal since it's pretty cheap.

Oh, and I *love* the light floral scent too. My nose must be weak, because it does not smell strong to me at all. I wouldn't mind if it was even slightly stronger/lasted longer. I don't mind my face smelling like flowers. It's really a lovely scent, IMO.

I have tried A LOT of foundations from the dirt cheap drugstore brands to the expensive name brands. This is my everyday foundation. It does have a *few* downfalls but the pros far outweigh the cons.

First of all, the colormatch is wonderful. If you're looking for a yellow-based foundation then this is the way to go. The only unfortunate thing is that I'm having to mix two colors to get the perfect match (bisque and cream). It's not such a big deal though being that each bottle is around $10-12. The best part is that the color actually stays the same and it does NOT oxidize- which is a problem I have with a lot of other foundations sometimes.

The foundation itself blends very easily whether you are using a brush, sponge or fingertips. The scent is a little harsh but it doesn't bother me, especially being that it is so great in all other aspects. The coverage is medium but I find that it is buildable and it's buildable WITHOUT getting cakey. It also can be applied to look more sheer (wet brush) which is nice during the daytime when you're looking for a more natural finish. I use this foundation during the day and MUFE HD at night just because the finishes are so different on each one.

The major downfall is that the finish is *dewy* so it's not great for oily skin but you can compensate by using a good oil-fighting primer and setting it with powder. I have oilier skin but when I take the aformentioned steps then I don't have a major problem.

DEFINITELY will re-purchase. This foundation is definitely under-rated and the price is unbeatable.
