This is the first time I've ever tried ANY kind of hair remover. I usually just use razors, BUT of course I didn't want to use a razor for the few small hairs on my upper lip. i have extremely dark hair so they are nearly impossible to conceal. I tried this though and it was very easy to use, mess free, and quick. And it got the job done. And was a great price in the Avon catalog. My only complaint is that afterward there was a slight "tightness" to the skin above my upper lip and a very light tingly feeling that hurt a tiny bit. But I've been told and kind of hair removal besides shaving will have a slight burning afterwards. My skin is very sensitive anyway, but it didn't leave red patches or anything so...I will continue to use this. seems to be a good product!<3

I have two gripes: For me, the hair wasn't completely removed. Also, it broke me out. However, this was fairly gentle as I had no irritation while using it.

Loved this. I had no problems with sensitivity - and I generally have very sensitive skin.
I loved that, unlike waxing, it's painless. I also had no whiteheads after application (that I usually have with waxing).
This was also a lot less harsh than Nair, which I've tried. I left it on for about 5 minutes, wiped it off, washed gently, and I had no problems with irritation.
I will buy again.

I have fairly coarse, dark hair on my upper lip, and, until I found this product, I thought there was no good way to remove it (my skin is too sensitive for wax, and we all know the issues with shaving). I was afraid to try depilatory creams, having had a bad experience with Nair severely burning me once.

This had enough good reviews that I decided to go out on a limb and try it. I started out leaving it on for two and a half minutes as suggested; it did absolutely nothing. I kept gradually increasing the time the next couple nights (I waited 24 hours each time to avoid burning myself) and saw a noticeable difference at about four minutes. However, certain spots on my lip are more stubborn than others, and the hair doesn't come off of those until I leave it on for six or seven minutes. I'm guessing this is something you just have to experiment with. I always make sure to spread it on thickly and evenly.

There's a teensy bit of stubble in places, but it's not visible unless you look at it in a really high magnification mirror. It also makes my lip a bit red after use, so I only use it before bed (it's always better in the morning). My hair starts growing back quickly in some spots and not in others, so I have a habit of using this every three or four days. It's not exactly fun, but it's easily the most effective facial hair removal method I've found.

This stuff is amazing! I haven't had any luck with facial hair removers like wax doesn't ever get much and other hair removers didn't remove much. This one I put on and left on for 2-4minutes and rubbed off with warm water and it got almost all the hair! It did sting alittle after but I put some of that lotion that comes with wax kits after and it was fine. I will be re-purchasing this! However, do not leave on too long or you can get a burn, my mom did!

This is an updated review. I used this remover successfully for months and loved it (removes coarse hair in 3 minutes, without any chemical smell). Then one day I got a slight chemical burn on my upper lip, even though I did nothing different. I stopped using this for a couple months but the next time I used it, I got another chemical burn. I don't even have sensitive skin! I don't know if others have experienced skin sensitivity from this stuff over time, but I will go back to waxing.

This is the best facial hair remover I've ever used. I leave it on for about five minutes. Works great on my upper lip and chin.

I used this a few times (only on my upper lip) before writing my review. The first time I applied a thin layer of this cream, left it on for under 5 minutes, and wiped it off. Nothing happened.
Second time, I applied a thick layer, left it on for 8-10 minutes and then used my nails and a towel to scrape off the hairs. Because I had some broken skin around the area, it burned like crazy but got rid of 95% of the hair.
Third time I did the same procedure but left it on for 15-20 minutes. Worked well.

* PROS
- Removes 90-95% of the hair.
- Convenient and fast.
- Mostly painless. After the first few times it doesn't seem to burn as much.
- After you do it once you don't have to worry about the hairs until at least 1 month later.

* CONS
- I found that if I didn't scrape it well enough the hairs seemed to break off very near the roots, leaving (mostly unnoticeable) stubble.
- Burns like crazy if you have broken or dry skin from prior tweezing or what not. Also leaves your skin really, really dry for around 4-5 days. I looked like I had a white moustache. Make sure you moisturise a LOT before and after, and have some sort of soothing cream/gel.
- Smells pretty bad, like hair dye.
- EDIT: Had a bad experience with this the other day; I used it twice in a row because the first time didn't get rid of the hairs. It burnt my lip so bad that I was left with a red scab for 3 days that looked like I had left strawberry jam on my face. :/ Not entirely the product's fault and I'm not taking off lippies but you just have to be very careful.

I have never had any luck with Nair or Veet. They didn't seem to remove any hair at all, regardless of how long I kept it on. I didn't have high hopes for the Avon version, but to my surprise this product far exceeded my expectations. I left it on for 4 minutes and it removed everything, even coarse hair. It did not have an offensive odor and did not irritate my skin. My skin is normally very sensitive to any hair removal products, so that was unexpected. To anyone who had irritation problems with this product, I would recommend cutting down the time that you leave it on. The directions say to test the area after 2 1/2 minutes and do not leave on longer than 8 minutes or you can get chemical burns.

So great to find a product that's inexpensive, non-irritating and works like magic! I applied this, left in on for 2 minutes and presto, all my cheek fuzz wiped right off. Thank you, MUA reviewers, for turning me on to this great little product!

EDIT: The second time I used this it left me with these awful little red sores on my cheeks. I may have left it on a bit too long, and I will try it one more time but this time, I'll really watch the clock. I like having no peach fuzz but I don't want to be pockmarked!

Hated it. I first tested some of the product on a small area on my skin, 24 hours later, no side effects so I decided to put it on my upper lip... You know what that sucker did? It gave me a horrible infection. It burned when I applied it, and it burned after I took it off... It like ATE the top layer of my skin off! I'm currently holding a cold towel against the pain... Also, it's a bit swollen... And now my upper lip, nose area and middle of eyebrows are red, irritated and BURNING.

I never really noticed any hair on my upper lip until a friend pointed out to me then it was really obvious. The hair isn't super dark like a golden brown. Anyways, I found this product in the bathroom because my Mom uses it. I was really surprised by how well it worked. I think I left on for a max of 4 minutes and all the hair was removed. I did this after removing my makeup and before washing my face because I wanted to make sure any left over product residue would come off with washing. There was a slight burning sensation while the product was on and a little redness after but this was expected because I have very sensitive skin. The smell was disgusting but not as bad as other removers and it is nothing I can't stand especially with the result that I got.

I am in love with this product! I used to wax my upper lip or use a bleach cream, but both of those methods always caused some discomfort or irritation. I decided to give this cream a try because of all the great reviews, and I'm so glad I did! I use a tretinoin every night, so I was nervous that this would cause some discomfort. But wow, I couldn't be more pleased! This stuff takes off all the unwanted hair and leaves me with no redness, no irritation, just soft, smooth skin! I don't ever want to be without this! I've already ordered a backup tube!

This product is pretty good. I don't like to wax my face, and my skin is sensitive. No matter what facial hair remover I use, I will have a reaction. This one causes either no redness and sensitivity up to a little bit of redness and dryness and a bit of discomfort. Nothing that lasts longer than a day. I'm on my third tube, and the formula on this Avon product doesn't seem to have changed, thank goodness.

I decided to try this product based on the good reviews I read on the Avon website, and I'm quite glad I did! It works really well at removing my upper lip hair (which is all I intend to use this for).

It comes in a long, slender 1 fl. oz. tube with a slanted tip, so it's very easy to use to spread the cream onto the area without having to touch it. You leave it on for at least 2 1/2 minutes (but no more than 8) and then you wipe it off. Keep in mind to apply a nice, even layer. It's true as other reviewers have said that it'll sting/burn a little upon wiping it off, but then I took a reviewer's suggestion of just putting on Neosporin afterwards, and it felt just fine. =) Vaseline works also! Hair was gone for a good amount of time..I feel safe in saying more than one week. But just for reference, I'm not that hairy of a person, haha..so it may vary for others.

On sale I got this for around $4, so it's a pretty good deal. I would definitely recommend and repurchase! :D

This product defnitely removed the hair above my top lip. Instructions say to leave on for 2 1/2 minutes, but I left it on about 2 minutes more. Took all the hair off, plus some of my skin. My entire top lip feels burned and tight well into the next day. I'll try again because it did remove all the hair well. I hope my skin won't be burned if I leave it on for only 2 minutes, like the instructions say. Liked the thickness of the cream. Clung to my skin and stayed in place well.

No smell and it works great. I leave it on for like 7-8 minutes and there's no hair left behind. I do have to say it worked better for my upper lip than on peach fuzz on my chin. It worked perfectly for the upper lip, but my chin got red and it didn't really do as much. Oh and I love the slanted tip applicator.

I am very happy w/ this product...tried it last nite. Left on for about 4-5 minutes, and it worked like a dream. No extremely offensive odor like Nair. I agree with another reviewer who advised tweezing hairs at the side of the mouth/lips...I tried putting on this cream a second time in that area and it burned a little bit. I put on coconut oil afterwards which took care of the burning. Overall, this is a great, cost-effective product. I, too, love the slanted tip. Thanks for the recommendation, MUA.
