I really hate glitter and sparkly makeup, but I do love a good shimmer. This is shimmer as it should be. Classy! Absolutely NO glitter flecks or visible pieces of sparkly stuff, just pretty pretty shine to reflect light and make your complexion glow. I never thought I would wear a shimmery bronzer, just seemed a little over the top, but this Odette thingy makes my skin look radiant and healthy like nothing else.
I also love the compact, really nice looking little thing. It is definitely not the last time I will look to Becca for classy stuff, favorite bronzer for summer.
Oh and by the way I am pale, about NW15-20 (20 in summer) and MUFE F&B #2, I was scared this would be too dark, but it's perfect. It's really a lot lighter on the skin than in the compact and will suit many lighter skintones, I think. I would say this is 70% sheen and 30% color, so it's easy to manage.
Added a pic of the compact, but it's a lot lighter going on.

I bought Odette as a highlighting and soft blush shade. It is beautifully packaged and a lovely color to boot. However on NC35-40 complexion, it shows up poorly. Additionally, if you are sensitive to bismuth, which all the pressed shimmer powders contain, you may break out or itch. I swapped this.

Never was a fan of pure sparkle highlighters as they gave me too much of a discoball effect (and I leave them for nights out).
So I bought Odette as I saw it can be used as a bronzer and I use bronzer every day, on top of foundation+powder, just to give some "life" to my face.
Well, since I started using Odette my makeup and the way I look has changed, and for better! I am amazed.
Odette is a brown bronzer/higlilghter - brown w/ a warm shade in the pan; I swatched and it was not much pigmented but left a golden trail on the swatch.
OK, I applied this on top of my base in place of my usual bronzer.
The result is stunning: my face does not get darker, but comes magically to life.
That famous "candlelit glow"?? well that's it! Wow.
Really it gives light to your face, and does not mess up your base skin tone (or foundation shade): I am thrilled! this is from now on my bronzer for winter, when I am pale and a bronzer seems too much.
If you have a T-zone like me, make sure to avoid applying this highlighter on your tip of nose/chin/ forehead, as it can be mistaken for shine (but it is glow!!).
Other than that, I totally recommend this product (yes it is expensive, 30£ , but it's more or less the same you pay in Lancome etc. for a normal bronzer).

Becca has amazing shimmer products-- finely milled and not OTT. This bronzy-gold color looks amazing over bronzer or peachy blushes, or if you just want to add some depth to a non-glowy blush. try it out.

My HG highlighter/bronzer!!! It delivers just the right amount of shimmer (note I said shimmer NOT glitter). Makes my skin look luminous and healthy. This shade is perfect on my NC40 skin.

Another winner from Becca.
I use this as a *bronzer* and it is the most lovely, perfect, realistic bronzer I've ever owned. I am NC 20ish, give or take, and this gives me a very slightly flushed (touch of pink), golden-tan look of health & happiness. The thing is, when I'm looking for a bronzer, I look for something that is straight-up brown - no pink - because that's what bronzers *are*. But when you think about it, when you've just picked up a bit of a real tan, you usually have a touch of pink with it, which is what makes Odette look like an absolutely authentic, yet not OTT tan. I cannot rave enough about it. And if you check the Becca website, you'll see that they even say that light skinned girls can use this as a bronzer. So there you have it. Lastly, the pigment is very concentrated. I touch my brush very lightly across the top of the compact & that gives plenty of color - one swipe per cheek & one for forehead, etc. In other words, this compact will last forever.

Becca's Pressed Shimmer Powder in Odette is a pretty, shimmery cool bronze. The texture is on par with NARS, blending beautifully into skin. I love using Odette with cool-toned blushes.

I LOVE this! I just turned 33, and have officially graduated from sparkle to shimmer. I now use Odette almost exclusively for highlighting under the brow, on the cheekbone and in tear ducts and on cupid's bow (and sometimes on chin, down the nose and on the center of the lip). It's my preferred color for highlighting. It seems a medium dusky mauve with gold and this particular combo of rose + gold translates so well on my light brown skin. Maybe because it is the color of my lips and gums, so seems very natural on me. It's a keeper, and something I reach for nigh near every single day. It helps me "recreate, not just gild the lily" I once was.

HOLY GRAIL I AGREE. This pressed powder has been milled THREE TIMES so that the consistency is SO ULTRA FINE it just glides on the skin for a super thin layer of luminosity. I want it now in all colors...it makes the mac baked highlighters look like drugstore quality.....BECCA NAILED the highlighter formulas (I tried and love their liquid one with SPF) but for those who love the powders (and this is pressed so no mess), this is an absolute MUST for your cosmetic wardrobe!!! 10/10 product no doubt! ...Because of their limited distribution, it's tough to find BECCA's whole product selection, and when you do find it at say Sephora, they're usually sold out of half the selection (it's apparently made/formulated in Germany and they sometimes have shipping issues with all the borders involved)...BUT WOW IS THE SEARCH WORTH IT...I am currently trying out their various foundations (which they're known for)...FORGOT TO ADD: the packaging is made in italy...and you can totally tell..it has that nars lux feel with added matte silver accents..super sexy and understated! LOVE

Definitely my HG highlighter. Just about everything is perfect about this stuff! In the pan it looks very dark (almost like bronzer) and I actually thought that it was mislabeled or something. But on the skin, it is a very sheer gold shimmer--simply beautiful. Not glittery or greasy looking, just glowing! It seriously lasted all day on me as well! It is silky and very blendable too. I'm in college, so its a little higher than I am used to spending, but its definitely worth the $33. The only thing that annoys me slightly is the brown rubber compact--its so hard to keep it looking new. Do yourself a favor and splurge on this!
