I'm so glad that I got this, thanks to the reviews on MUA . It's the perfect shade for my skin tone for a natural lip color (I'm BB Honey foundation shade) and from the reviews this appears to suit a range of skin tones.
As others have described this is a brown/rose shade that, for a gloss, is really pigmented and considering the price it's comparable to more high end glosses like Dior and Givenchy. I just wish L'oreal considered putting a slanted applicator. Texture wise these are a little sticky but are still not glue like (i.e MAC) and smell really nice. Just to note, my lips are really pigmented and need color to even them out, they are also dry, hence the reason I've started using more gloss. Whenever I buy glosses or lipstick I look for good coverage/color and no sparkles/glitter, this fits the bill and I would highly recommend.

A nice brown color for those ladies who enjoy a bit of brown on their lips. Not too sticky, sweet-smelling, and highly pigmented. One tip is to use a lip brush to control your application and to not clog up the rounded tip.
Highly recommended for medium skin tones and up.

Meh... I didn't really like this lip gloss at all. It was pretty darn sticky, first of all. And, when I applied it, I had to rub my lips together about 50 times to get the color evenly spread across my lips. It wasn't the shiniest gloss, either... In fact, I hardly noticed any shine. Not impressed.

I thought this would be way to dark brown for me, it kinda looks scary in the tube, but it's a great neutral brown color with no shimmer or sparkle, with a very slight rose undertone, just enough to not be muddy. Has great shine, just enough. It has a lot of pigment, I use a little and it goes a long way - dosen't rub off as quickly as I'd expect from a l/g and leaves my lips moisturized. It's a great neutral like the reviewer before me said, to use when you're wanting to wear bright/dark shadows.
One thing though - I'm not too sure this color would be as flattering on really light skin colors as it would on medium and dark complextions.
But all in all their quality is just way above what I expect, I'd definitely re-purchase this & recommend it.

Although I bought two of these lipglosses yesterday (BOGO this week), the CVS was out of the colors I most wanted, so I dropped in again today, and this color was on clearance for under three bucks!! Anyway, I was really leery of this color, but I do need a neutral, and I find the Hip glosses to be very high-quality (better than many Sephora or mall brands by far) so I grabbed it. I was worried that Pixie would be too yellowy-gold, a color I long to wear, but look terrible in, so I chose Darling. This is the only (of 7) that I have that is not uber-sparkly. It's a very deep neutral pink/brown that isn't too brown. Nice and shiny, but no glimmer, so good for work and days when I have on bright eyeshadow. In fact, I'm wearing multi-green eyeshadows at the moment, so this gloss is perfect. I know many reviewers dislike the round plastic applicator, but it's my absolute favorite kind! No gross germy sponge or brush that gets all gloppy, and no wand with too much product on it to deal with. This is the absolute best packaging for lipgloss in my opinion, and I'm so thrilled the quality of the lipgloss itself matches!

I like this. The texture kind of reminds me of Juicy Tubes, only it isn't quite as sticky, which I like. It lasts a really long time on my lips; you can apply a lot or a little and the color looks flattering. I like the way it smells, too...kind of like a faint caramel-vanilla scent.

I have been looking for a lip gloss for a nude lip. I might state I am African-American and wanted a nude lip that didn't look like I sucked on a powdered donut. On a lark, I purchased this on a BOGOF and it is amazingly gorgeous. My lips are naturally a soft pink, and this is a soft beige/toffee colour and it looks hot. It's also not so sticky that my hair gets drawn to it like a magnet. I highly recommend this to all you wannabe video vixens doing the porn star face :P

I bought this l/g based on the reviews I read before, otherwise I'd never pick this one. The color just seemed *blah* to me on the display. It has become my HG. Walgreens have it on BOGO right now so I will stock up on these beauties. It's definitely YLBB.

I'm always on the search for a good nudish/brownish/pinkish lip gloss that's not too sticky, and this one fits the bill. Very nice quality for d/s brand, feels nice and smooth on the lips. Worst part is the round plastic applicator (awkward), best part is the vanilla/caramel scent. Yum!

highly recommend. looks just like spite lipglass from MAC, which Victoria Beckham wears, and her makeup is always fab. i've searched high and low for this color, a warm brown with a hint of caramel-pink. very flattering sophisticated color, with a splash of fun glossiness.
only downfall is the tube, like everyone's said. other than that, it's thick enough to wear for a long time without slipping off, but it's not so thick it's disgustingly sticky and dry.
at around $7.00, can't beat it.

Like many others have said, I've been looking for this gloss forever! I thought I had it many times before in the past, but then I realize it's not perfect. This is. The perfect nude gloss for me. I have pigmented lips, probably more pigmented than most light to medium-skinned people. I LOVE this. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I can't stop putting it on. I do kinda wish the applicators were better but eh. I think I will be able to use this better than the sponge tip applicators. Sometimes I have trouble finishing those off. I can't wait to try this with a smoky eye.

I have recently discovered these lip glosses....I haven't bought them before because they are a bit expensive for DS products....anyway I am super pale and this lip gloss gives me a nice glossy rosy look..most nude lip glosses look orangey on me but this is quite nice...I like it because it is natural looking and smells like caramel....In the tube the lip gloss looks quite dark but it isn't when you put it on....I highly recommend this...

I like this natural-looking color ( I'm NC45 something or another). But the huge bulb applicator is so stupid (childish applicator deserves a childish adjective). I'm going to start applying with a lip brush to see if that works better. But the instensity and pigment works just fine.

I love this color. Like another reviewer mentioned, this is a great color for very pigmented lips. I've been looking for a nude gloss for so long and this is it for me (C3)! It's great on it's own and it also looks great over lip liner or a dark brownish blotted lip stick. I'll definitely buy it again. The rounded tip isn't so great. I'd prefer a slanted, flat tip.

Darling is a neutral brown gloss that leans toward rusty pink. It is opaque in consistency and can apply unevenly if put on directly from the tube.
I usually wear Darling lipgloss if I have warm colors on, because it's very subtle and blends nicely.
The pigmentation is good, and lasting power is better than the original CJ's, but not as good as MAC lipglasses.

This stuff is awesome. Definitely my go to lipcolor when I'm in a rush out the door and I need a 5-minute face. I am AfAm with medium brown skin, and this brownish pinkish lip gloss is THE perfect natural shade for me, and I've been looking for a color exactly like this one. I particularly like the smell and texture of this product: smells like vanilla cake batter (not sickeningly so) and feels a little sticky, like you are giving yourself a peck on the lips. It does take a little "stick-with-it"ness because it's not lipstick, but rather a lip gloss. I do not need lip liner so I apply it until it is perfectly placed within the lip line.
Darling lip gloss, tinted moisturizer, and some eyeliner is all I need for an understated day look. I also like the HIP Lip Gloss in Sweet.

HIP Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Darling. This product sells at mass retailers for 8.99USD. Pros: Smells yummy. This particular color is very pretty on my lips. Cons: Bulb-shaped applicator is not 100% effective. It takes a little time and patience to color my lips. About me: 43-year old Latina, neutral skin tone of fair to medium shade. Summary: I would not buy this type of bulb-shaped applicator gloss again. The gloss looks prettier when applied with lip brush, however.

Picked this up on a whim.. this is one of their lighter colors.. Everything else looked like it would be way too dark for me. (Im asian) Im happy to see that this actually has color to it unlike all the colorjuices which barely show up. This color on me is almost exactly like NARS Butterfield 8. This color does not exactly complement my coloring (too brown) washes me out a little, but its still wearable. I'd like to see more colors in this range.

I looked at every shade, and while I am black/mixed, a lot of them were dark even for me, but this one jumped out at me! Darling looks beautiful on my golden skin and lasts forever. I didn't even need liner with it. It's a beautiful neutral shade that I think would look good on virtually anyone (unless you are very dark or very pale - complexion extremes). It IS sticky, though (which is likely why it lasts so long) - so be careful when eating...lol

I bought this because the color looked genuinely neutral which is really hard to find. Lipglosses like these tend to be too peach, too mauve, too pink, or too sparkly. I'm a difficult case because my lips are really pale and off colors REALLY show up bad on my pale/yellow face. I'm blond and blue-eyed and I get flushed cheeks sometimes, so I want a truly neutral mouth. Truthfully, I only bought this for the name --"Darling." It's just too evocative of Andy Warhol and Candy Darling and Nico and Julie Christie for me to resist... How delighted I was to find that this is a really good color for me! It seems to just boost my natural lip shade (soft mauve) up a notch and give me some shine. Best of all, it has a really delicious caramel flavor. The only problems are, it is really thick and sticky. I can only use just a couple of dabs, then I blend it in. If I coated my lips with it, it would be way too dark. But a little of this does last a long time, unlike almost all other lip glosses.
