This is my current HG cleanser. It is perfect for my sensitive skin. The consistency is a light, low foaming gel, and you only need a teaspoon for cleansing.
I find that it cleans all my foundation off (Revlon one step cream compact), which is remarkable. It is gentle, and does not strip the natural oils from my skin. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed without tightness or redness afterwards.
The packaging is chic - the immediately recognisable Aesop glass, dark brown bottle. The smell is herbaceous and utterly divine.
I noticed a big difference in my skin after using Aesop's Fabulous Face Cleanser. My redness was reduced significantly, the whiteheads between my eyebrows are disappearing, and my skin has an incredible glow to it. I'm so happy, and will repurchase again and again in a heartbeat.

I really like Aesop but this cleanser is rather useless esp. for eye make-up, mascara, or thick foundation/concealer. My skin didn't feel very clean afterward and I had to wash my face again with other products to get everything off. I'm more of an all-in-one person so clearly this cleanser doesn't work for me. It is not cheap either, taking into consideration that there are a lot of affordable product out there. Sorry, Aesop.

This is a beautiful cleanser, doesn't dry out my skin and leaves it feeling clean. The smell isn't too overpowering either. It's pricy, but I think it's worth it, so I would buy it again.
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Combination, Medium Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Fine Eyes: Brown
At first, I've absolutely loved this cleanser - the smell was unusual, but very nice; my skin would feel incredibly refreshed and invigorated, but most importantly my pores would instantly appear smaller, especially my horrible blackheads! After moisturising, my skin was very smooth to touch and I felt great about it overall.
Unfortunately, after a couple of months it started to dry my T-zone out like crazy, and the skin around the nose would feel like sandpaper after using this. I think it could be the reason why my skin is so dehydrated nowadays. :(
Now as to packaging and price - not amazing, but a better value overall if you buy a bigger bottle. The 200ml lasted me all throughout July to November (which I thought was quite something when I've realised that) and only cost me £29(~$45). I love the Aesop packaging as well (probably the best on the market right now) and never felt like the glass bottle is inferior to all the other plastic ones on the shelf - in fact, I think that it's quite original.
Overall, I would've loved it and cherished it forever were it not for the fact that it's better as a short-term solution, but defintely doesn't help the skin in the long run.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Oily, Fair-Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I have very oily skin especially around the T-Zone area, sometimes my cheeks are dry but usually it's just slightly oily and my pores clogs easily.
So, this cleanser works beautifully in the sense that it does not dry up your face like some oil control cleanser does. 2 of the many main ingredients of the cleanser are my favorites, namely, lavender and rosemary therefore it smells really good and soothing to me! =)
Although it doesn't dries up my skin but it doesn't help much with the oil control as my face becomes oily again after an hour. It also doesn't prevent my pores from clogging. =(
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Warm Hair: Brunette, Straight, Fine Eyes: Blue
I have super super sensitive, oily but dehydrated, very reactive skin, and this has not broken me out or caused redness or anything! It smells nice, you can get a free pump (with the 200mL bottle), and it doesn't dry out my skin or make it tight.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brunette Eyes: Blue
I have used this cleaner for about 3 months now, I really like the fact that its got all natural ingredients. I have combo skin which goes dry in winter, I found this cleaner very effective yet gentle on my skin, however it also left my skin feeling tight at times which I didnt like, I suppose my skin is sensetive as well. This would suit somone with oily skin better. I will buy a gentlier version of their cleaner next time. I didnt like the packidge very much as I travel a lot so its very hard to take it without spilling it.

I tried a few sample packets of this and was impressed with how clean I felt afterwards, so yesterday I went and bought the 200ml bottle. Even though it was $47 AUD, I was willing to fork out for it. Feels effective and leaves the skin very soft. Only downside is the glass bottle. The SA gave me two pumps to go with it, but I'm scared that one day I'll smash it.
By the way, Aesop is a pretty amazing brand when it comes to what else they do outside of skin care. I live in Adelaide, South Australia and they sponsored the French Film Festival here and are currently selling a book in store (can't remember what it's called). If you're a member they send you out discount movie tickets etc. I like their attitude to culture.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Normal, Fair, Cool Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue
I am half way though my second bottle of this cleanser, and I still love it. The smell is so natural and fresh, without being overpowering. I use it morning and night, a bottle lasts me about 4 months, so although it is expensive for a small bottle, value for money is not too bad. I have normal to combination skin and it is just very gently foaming, enough to feel like your skin is being cleaned without stripping it.
Ask for a pump dispenser when you buy the product (the shop assistant gave me one) because without it, it is really clumsy in the shower to be opening a slippery glass bottle and I would often end up pouring out too much. With the pump, I usually only use half a pump each time so not so much wastage.

Great results after the first bottle, which is rare for my sensitive skin. I was using another brand & range before this and had a bad breakout, which is when I switched to Fabulous. I saw good results, and quick! But from 2nd bottle onward, my skin no longer seemed to react as well. In fact my skin feels a little bumpy and dry now that I am halfway through the 2nd bottle. Anyhow, I was lucky that I kept the pump, because they no longer sell the pumps and I always misjudge the amount when I pour it from the bottle.

LOVE this cleanser! I bought it in aust while I stopped over on my way to Hk. I have sensitive/dry/combination skin. I had kinda forgotten I bought this cleanser but recently found it.......... Ive been using this everyday and saw dramatic results. Gives me a really clean feeling and now my skin is flawless (hasn't been for a while). I'm keen on trying more products of aesops. Luckily for me, Aesop products in New Zealand are the same price as I would get them in Australia!

My skin is very sensitive, and yet combination. I searched for that right cleansers (toners and moisturizers as well) for years, but none really suit my skin type, no matter what the brand was.
Let's see, I used Mario Badescu (it was okay but after a while, my skin did not tolerate the products well), Ren (which caused a terrible breakout), Stella McCartney Care (which I used for about more than a year..., I like the products in general, but Care products are no longer available in California), and other natural brands in Sephora, Barneys and Fred Segal.
In fall 2006 (I think), the Barneys' consultant recommended me the Aesop skincare, and my skin could tolerate them so I began using them until Care by Stella McCartney (I used foaming cleanser, toner, and moisturizing fluid) came out. However, Care products are now no longer available in CA, and so I began using Aesop again. And now my skin actually looks (and feels) better. I don't have breakouts or blemishes/bumps and my skin does look great. And that's why I wanted to write a review after a few years of trying..., If you're afraid of using skincare products because of breakouts/sensitivity, try Aesop.
I use Aesop Fabulous Cleanser (use just a little; use a little bit less than a dime size; it does not foam but it cleans the entire face), parsley-seed toner, and Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream. For eye cream, I use Clarins. I haven't used any other Aesop products other than these. But I've had good results and I'm just gonna stick to Aesop from now on. Glass packaging isn't good when it comes to traveling (actually handling is hard), but aesop website sells bottles for travellers so I'm going to order one (EDIT: Online orders are only for New Zealand and Australia. I guess I'll have to go to the Barneys and ask).
Hope everyone's having good skin.

I am combination skin, and bit sensitive. I have used Fabulous and Amazing face cleanser before, i personally prefer Fabulous.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair Hair: Black Eyes: Black
I like it, though I think it's a bit too "gentle" maybe.
The smell is really nice, but the price is not.
It's not my favorite cleanser, but it's a decent one.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal, Fair-Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
It's a nice product for me, I use it in the morning, it's gentle and soft, non-foaming, and I love the smell so much. my skin is so dry in winter, especially the winter in Australia! I hate the weather here. My skin felt clean and comfortable with this cleanser,
It's for dry, combination and sensitive skin type, I don't think it's good for removing make up.Anyway, it's not supposed to be a makeup remover.A must try for skin that can't tolerate drying irritants.
It's an excellent product except the price is a little bit expensive.
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Acne-prone, Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
I have acne-prone skin and i find this cleanser really works well for my skin, as i have sensitive-acne-prone skin. I usually use this alternately, when i wanna scrub my face, i mix this cleanser with the scrub from Bobbi Brown (the grain one) and gently scrub my skin and leave it on for few minutes. It really leaves my skin really clean.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Sensitive, Fair Hair: Black Eyes: Black
My skin has become somewhat sensitive and is acting up quite a bit lately. As such have decided to switch to a lighter and more gentle face to wash my face in the morning. have been using Chanel skincare esp the whitening cleansing foam but somehow my skin finds it too drying and it feel feeling tight. After switching to Aesop Fabulous Face cleanser my skin feels clean, moist without any tightness after my morning cleansing.
Don't like the glass bottle packaging, as with most other reviewers, would much prefer it with a pump dispenser, but I still like the way my skin feel after uisng it. Will I repurchase, yes I believe so skin my skin feels great after :-D
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I love it! It smells so fresh and it cleans without drying my dry skin.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
This is a nice light cleanser with a pleasant fragrance, I didn't use it on a long-term basis so I can't say whether or not it would eventually be drying (but it wasn't for me in the short term).
I won't repurchase because it wasn't so fabulous at removing my make up, the Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser did a much better job of that. If you wear light-no make up this might be the cleanser for you.

This is my HG cleanser!! it took me a while to adapt and learn how to use it effectively.. but after that phase, i'n totally in love with it.. it smells nice, and is very gentle.. The best thing is that i can use it any time of the year.. all i need to do is adjust the usage.. i would definitely repurchase this product..
