I used this over Physician's Formula Mineral Concealer. It looked great. I stopped using it for a while and went back to it recently. I wasn't crazy about it. It didn't provide much coverage at all, but then again it's not supposed it. It seemed chalkier and more dry than last time. I guess if you use the entire line of Pure Makeup (concealer, foundation, and powder) it would work pretty well, but I wouldn't reccomend mixing and matching with this one.

Edit: I'm pretty disappointed they discontinued this powder, but kept the foundation and concealer. I really wanted to give it another shot :(.

It is very cheap, but looks cakey. It kept my skin matte for two or three hours, but not all day. Color was a little light compared to most "mediums" I've used,

This product is OK. When I bought this I bought it too light so I never used too much of it on my face, just for my undereyes and any other spots I wanted to cover up. I found that it came off of my face really fast. I don't like the packaging though, the plastic cover broke off and the sponge applicator is terrible, it takes off too much powder and doesn't blend well.
But the powder itself was alright I guess.. I probably won't repurchase.

I bought this pressed powder back in the summertime (July, i believe) to take away shine but not make my sensitive skin break out. I didn't really have high expectations for this powder seeing that I don't have good luck with drugstore brands and I had already tried the Pure foundation with negative results. But lo and behold, I am still using this powder in January! It turned out to be an excellent buy and it's exactly what I was looking for. It feels super light on my skin and does a decent job of setting concealer/foundation and as a general finishing powder. Since I already use expensive concealer and foundation I wanted a relatively inexpensive pressed powder, and $7 isn't bad at all. Overall, very pleased =)

I've suddenly switched from being a combination to an oily skin so I realized I finally needed powder. This absorbs oil all over my face and has a slightly evening affect on the color of my face. I definitely would not wear it on its own, I need a liquid foundation, liquid concealer with the powder on top to get a good looking face. It doesn't look powdery at all. It provides a great base for eyeshadow. Something that I really like about it is that upon putting liquid eyeshadow on my dark circles that area looks a bit uneven, once the powder goes on, it looks great!

I wanted a cheap powder to carry in my small purse for touch-ups. This stuff is perfect, works really well, is tiny enough to slip in the smallest purse, and is cheap! I paid less than $2.50 for it.

had never worn any make-up before and I found it very easy to find a perfect shade to match my skin tone. I don't even wear foundation with this.
I was actually working at an event and had no time to run to the bathroom to put on any make-up...well I whipped out my mirror and the PURE Pressed Powder, a bit of eye shadow and liner, and my lipgloss and it looked great.!

I only paid $1.50 on clearance. This is a light medium shade, even though it says medium. I have fairer skin and wear it. Just from a swipe test on my finger I can tell it's sheer. It must be hard pressed because others come off easily. The puff is rediculous! It's 2 inches long...Like a baby's powder puff. I guess that prevents you from over applying.
No time to use it all over your face. This is a t-zone only powder for quick touch ups. After using it for a week, it really is a good powder. No shine, but no dryness or cakey look. Just the right amount of fresh skin to show through the powder. I will use it up, but wonder if it's being DC'ed

The product I like....non cakey finish, smooth texture, controls shine for a few hours. The packaging? not so much. The powder puff is TINY, and the packaging is cheap....I've had 2 and on both the tops broke off. :-/

I needed some powder but didn't want to spend much. At $4.99, it was a bargain and worth a try. It has a nice, light texture, fragrance free, and helps obscure flaws. Medium is an okay match for my winter complexion and will do for now. I definitely will have to change to another shade by late spring/early summer because I tan quickly and easily. My only wish = a wider range of shades.

I finally found my HG foundation. Maybelline Pure. Surprisingly fantastic stuff. :) Most foundations look flaky and greasy on me all at the same time. This stuff blends in perfectly and if I do get the greasies, the powder doesn't make me look like I'm wearing tons of powder like my old foundations. I was a Mac Studiofix girl for years.. Even used Shiseido, The Makeup, I loved Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Enhancer until I found this. Now I'll switch off the two I guess. If you get the right color (and that's key), this will cover minor/medium imperfections and give you that, "I'm not wearing makeup, I naturally have great skin" look. I have really oily skin and big a** pores and this powder really makes me look airbrushed. Every hour or two (I'm addicted to powder, I even powder my nose when I'm still not greasy) I powder my nose and this stuff doesn't look cakey at all. Swipe the powder and then PRESS the powder into your skin. It works perfectly like that. My HG!

It keeps my skin matte for all of.. an hour. Then when my face starts turning shiny and oily again, I get orange patches around my nose and t-zone. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin.

Currently, Pure pressed powder in "Light" is my absolute HG. The formula is light yet creamy and glides on effortlessly on my oily, less-than-stellar skin. It's a very "clean" powder that doesn't break me out and keeps the oilies at bay. It also does a good job of evening my skin so my surface-red tones are diminished. The packaging is a cute color, but it is rather flimsy. Also, I think they could include more product. I've used up 2 of these pressed powders in 5 months, and I'm already halfway through my third one. Fortunately, the price is right (6-7 bucks), and they are usually BOGOF at Walgreens or Rite Aid. An absolute makeup staple!

I love this powder! It goes on smoothly and hides all imperfections. The medium matches my skin tone beautifully and my skin doesn't get as oily. If it does, I swipe it on and it absorbs it. Love it. P.S. Cutest packaging for a powder...I love the color!

Pure Powder goes on-oh-so smoothly and matches skin tone well. Coverage is good; finely milled. Skin doesn't feel dry afterwards and it does seem more moisturising than other powders. Doesn't irritate skin.
I found that with the sponge it ends up a bit dense and heavy. Best to dust off afterwards with a tissue/palms of your hands. Apply sparingly in places otherwise it won't look natural.

Another bad point is that it makes shine come back fast! I just put it on a hour ago and i can feel oily patches already. And this is in air conditioning! Outside it tends to re-shine even faster.

Packaging is cute, and theres two mirrors : one underneath the powder too (I think.) Sponge is small, but it gets quite a lot of powder on.

Pity there doesn't seem to be much of the actual powder. So it's an okay buy, slightly expensive if you want to do the volume:price ratio and compare it to other drugstore powders.

Oh, can you believe this is my second compact - my first one (used like, thrice) went through the wash!

So the bottom line is : great for coverage, bad for controlling shine. It's not too bad if you like touchups.

i have oily skin & have been on the lookout for an oil-controlling powder that really does the job. it claims to "keep skin matte for hours" but as far as this goes, shine is back within 30 minutes. i don't care for the little applicator that came with it & the packaging as well. the lid broke off very easily. would not repurchase.

I love this Powder in Medium, it's a great match. It doesn't break me out, and this is my second time purchasing. My only complaint is the packaging. I wish they would give you more product, and a bigger sponge. Maybe similar to how they make their Shine Free Powders (which broke me out horrible). But it's a great color.

I thought that because the line was oil free with the added benefits of "H20", I automatically thought it wouldn't irritate my skin. Boy, was I wrong. After two weeks of everyday use, I got the most horrible rash on my forehead ever. It was so bad that when I went to my doctor that he said topical creams won't work and I actually had to take pills to calm my allergies down.

After cutting it out of my makeup regimen, I haven't had any more rashes. Horrible!!!
