It does smudge.. However it's still one of the best pencil eyeliners that I own. The color-stay is great for that of a pencil liner. Although it applies much easier than a liquid, liquid is what you really want to stick to for a liner that truly doesn't smudge.

Beautiful unique color. How it looks on the pencil is how it shows up. Lasts a long time on upper lashline but not too well on the waterline which was surprising because I heard the opposite. Also a bit expensive- I have found drugstore dupes for less than half the price. (Ahem, Prestige's Total Intensity Liners!) Because of this I do not think I'll repurchase

UD 24/7 eye liner pencils are the ULTIMATE HG eye liners in the world! I just disconvered them and I can't believe I was sheltered from these all these years. Am so upset about this. I bought quite a few Rockstar, Bourbon, Mildew, Flipside, and Deviant. They are all of high quality and no smudging at all. I do use their eye primer before and it stays put all day. It goes on super smoothly without any tugging at all due to its creamy texture and the colour payoff is fantastic! Will repurchase these forever!

Rockstar = dark purple that I pair with any purple or brown/nude e/s.
Bourbon = golden medium brown that I pair mostly with brown/nude e/s.
Mildew = mossy green that I pair with mostly green or brown/nude e/s.
Flipside = turquoise greenish/blue that I pair with mostly blue or brown/nude e/s.
Deviant = cobalt blue that i pair with purple or brown/nude e/s if I want to add a pop of colour.

Got to love Urban Decay pencils! This is one of my favorite colors. It is a vibrant dark blue with specks of glitter to it. The blues always make my green eyes greener! This eyeliner stays where I put it, and is very easy going on. When you get to be my age, an easy glider is very important! The pencil is large enough to last a very long time even is sharpening often. Sephora has a similar color in their automatic pencil that is awesome too, but UD is actually a brighter blue to me, and it seems to sparkle a tad bit more. It is a toss up as to which is better, but no toss up as to which is a better deal for the $. Even though UD cost like 5$ more a stick, there is like 4 times as much product! I also prefer the idea that I can sharpen the UD pencil to a fine point, whereas, with the automatic pencil, it is what it is, blunt after the first use. You can sharpen the auto pencil but then, you would have no product at all after about 3 sharpens or less. ;-) So for my $, UD rocks!

I was struggling between choosing this or Flipside, and I'm glad I chose this (although I still want Flipside!). Like all UD 24/7 liners, this lasts for quite awhile, and is super creamy and easy to apply. It makes a great color for lining the lower lashline, and goes with so many eye looks. Love!

I LOVE UD's 24/7 liners!! This is my tenth 24/7 liner that I have purchased and it is my absolute fave. The liner glides on smoothly and is a bright cobalt blue color which really brings out brown eyes.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliners. What's not to love? The fabulous color selection, amazing wear, no-tug application, and great color payoff are a few reasons why I love this. I do not, however, love the $21 (CDN) price tag!
Deviant is a stunning cobalt navy blue shot with silver shimmer. The shimmer doesn't get everywhere, but I hesitate to call it shimmer. It's a little more glittery than shimmery.
The wear time is, as usual of a 24/7, nothing short of forever. This stays throughout the day and countless teary movies. It is not entirely waterproof, and swimming with it isn't a very pretty sight. It removes easily at the end of the day with any oil-based eye MU remover.
One of the defining characteristics of the 24/7's are their smooth, highly pigmented colors. This applies without dragging or tugging, and doesn't require you to go over your line a dozen times just to see some color!
A fabulous eyeliner that I will no doubt repurchase, with great pigmentation, super smooth application, and really fantastic wear. If only the price wasn't so high!

My grandma bought this for me the other day and can I just say I LOVE THIS PENCIL!!!!!!!!! It's so pretty! It's like a bright shocking blue with teeny teeny bits of silver glitter. It goes on like butter too. If you like blue and you need it in a liner get this one!
only con is the price I think $17 for a liner pencil is expensive bit the color is amazing!

I love this color! This blue works great on my skin tone (light/medium) and makes my eyes look awesomely bright and awake. It also really pulls out the green in my hazel eyes. Try this color if you are a neutral girl looking for a little pizzaz. My favorite way to wear this look is to use a 1950's nude simple eye, but I use deviant for the eyeliner. I throw on a bit of bronzer and a nude lip and viola! An awesome, fun, and healthy look!

This was my first purchase I ever made from Urban Decay, although I had originally planned on buying this pencil in "Graffiti" because I prefer wearing greens to blues. I don't regret buying this at all though, because the color payoff is AMAZING. It glides right on (w/o having to 'warm up' the pencil or anything first) and stays on for hours. It's amazingly waterproof, which I love because it stays put on my waterline. My only gripe is the price: I got it from Ulta at $17, which can quickly drain my wallet if I want more than one color. Other than that, it's the perfect eyeliner. The packaging is very cute too and easy to open, which is all that really matters about it anyway. I would totally buy this again, and plan on doing so once I run out.

EDIT: This used to not be favorite, but it's such a beautiful blue I've grown to really love it! It's my go-to blue, and I've nearly used it all up! I love to put it under my lower lash line for a nice pop of color.

This is my sixth purchase of UD 24/7, and the formula of Deviant is just as creamy and long lasting as all the other colors in this line, so I will only review the color. This is a medium shade of jewel-toned blue with sparkle in it. I'm in my 40s and I don't want to look like I'm trying to be young, but I did want to brighten my eye area, so I decided to give this a try. I apply it to my lower lashline only, after I apply my UD 24/7 Bourbon or Underground and two coats of mascara. Then I apply this on top of that. The effect is very pretty. You can definitely see the blue and the sparkle, but it isn't over the top because it blends in with the brown liner, and it does indeed brighten my face. In the summer I might try wearing this liner alone, but for now I'm pleased with the way I'm wearing it. Another homerun for Urban Decay. ($17.00 USD)

I adore this eyeliner! I absolutely love the formulation of these 24/7 eyeliners. They are so incredibly creamy, buttery, and soft. They glide right on and last until I wash them off hours later. The colors stay true on your lids, and they are brilliant shades. Deviant in particular is a very beautiful blue that is described by many reviewers below. I have brown eyes, and I love pairing this shade with coppery and gold eyeshadow. I sometimes wear it with other jewel tones, especially plummy purple eyeshadow. I get lots of compliments on this liner and would repurchase despite the expensive price.

I have several 24/7 Eye Pencils in a variety of different colors and IMO the formula varies a bit between them - some better, some worse. Deviant is one of the shades that has that wonderful creamy formula that is easy to blend and dries down to a waterproof/budge-proof finish - definitely one of the better colors formula wise.

COLOR: Gorgeous jewel toned deep electric blue. It reminds me of beautiful blue ribbon. I have blue gray eyes and Deviant really brings out the gray in my eyes (which I love!). Deviant is a very vibrant shade - there is no mistaking it for black. The color you see in the swatch is the color you get on your eyes.

LASTING POWER: Deviant dries down to a waterproof finish a minute or two after application. In my experience this pencil does not budge at all. It stays right where I put it. I don't have to scrub my eyes to get it off though - it comes off easily with eye makeup remover (I use Nivea Eye Make-Up Remover).

APPLICATION: Because these pencils are so soft I find it impossible to get a sharp edge and point in the outer corner/wing. I found the best thing to do is to sketch the wider part of my outer line with the pencil and then with MAC's 266 I pull the color out to a precise point (& tidy the edges). Deviant is so blendable and creamy, it works perfectly with a brush. Just remember that it dries down to a budge-proof line after a minute or two so work it while it's fresh.

FORMULA: According to Urban Decay's web site: "Created with 50% moisturizing ingredients suspended in a sophisticated waterproof formula, 24/7 Eye Pencils offer long-lasting color and a dreamy, creamy feel when applied. With Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil."

BOTTOM LINE: Love this pencil - love the creamy texture, love the "glide-on" application, love that it does not budge after drying, love the opaque application of the color, love the vibrant shade! ♥LOVE that Deviant is a vegan product, yay!♥ I was having a hard time with the 24/7 Eye Pencils until I got the tip about using the 266 - using the brush makes it possible to get a sharp point & edge. Would definitely recommend Deviant - it's a beautiful blue addition to any eye liner collection!

This has become my favorite blue eyeliner. It is a Cobalt blue shade that is neither too bright nor too dark,. Really makes your eye color pop and it more interesting and unexpected than basic black but still manages to look refined. You have to look at someone very closely to tell it is actually blue so in no way is it offensive like some blues. On me, this wears well as all the other 24/7's I have do. Def. a reccomendation for someone looking to get away from black but still have something that goes with alot of looks and isn't "too much".

This eyeliner is what I have been looking for! Thanks to all who recommended it. I needed a blue eyeliner that stays on all day and finally found it. I have been using Sephora brand for years but it didn't last for the whole day. This one does! I am so happy about purchasing it. I was worried that it wouldn't come off with makeup remover so easy but it did. That's a big plus with me. I am never going back to other liners, that's for sure.

I have wanted Deviant for a long time and recently caved and bought it because (A) I ordered the set of 9 mini pencils and kmbirkel told me that Binge was pretty different and (B) this coincided with my birthday, causing a major hauling itch.

Just as with all of the other 24/7 liners, this stays put really, REALLY well. I can put these on in the morning, they wear perfectly all day. I can scrub them off at night with makeup remover - or if I don't do this and just wash my face as usual, it's still there the next morning. I just can't say enough about the staying power of these liners.

Deviant is the most gorgeous bright/dark cobalt blue color. It's a really fun, versatile color that could be used for a really bright makeup look, or with neutral makeup for a dramatic (but not overwhelming) accent. This would be a great color for those who want to love blue makeup but aren't sure how to pull it off.

This is the only 24/7 pencil I've bought in a full size - my others are from the sets of minis that Urban Decay put out. This pencil will last me a very, very long time. That said, I definitely do not regret this purchase - and someday, a long time from now, I will repurchase.

I've been hesitant to try their product: zero because I just can't accept possibilities of raccoon eyes shortly after applying it.

so I decided to give deviant a try to spice things up whenever a special occasion pops up. Now I have brown eyes, i was told that blue would be a really good color to make me look somewhat sharp.
since i have semi-watery eyes i only applied on the top lid and on the bottom lid i used my favorite drugstore brand eyeliner-revlon. now this eyeliner you could treat it as an eyeshadow pencil and you would still look fine! I would definately buy this again if I run out. it also makes a lot of eye colors pop! (unless your eye was just as blue as the eyeliner)! I would give this product ago to spice things up on special occasions!
